Had our second escape room event here and it was even more fun than the first. Highly recommend the Egyptian one! Our host was super friendly. This is our favorite escape room in the area!

The Billionaire's room has a supposed to be one of the hardest, and it didn't disappoint. Without giving away any hints, I will say that the severe storms the night before caused a glitch with one of the components of this room. The staff was nice enough to figure it out and fix it so we could progress. We got out with :16 seconds to spare. Loved this experience and would highly recommend it to others!!!

My daughter and I had a blast at Tick Tock Escape Room. The staff was nice and very helpful. We had a great time solving the puzzles to get through the escape room.

My family and I had such a great time visiting here for the first time! The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was well thought out and my teenagers walked out wanting to go back! Everyone had a good time, we'll be back!

Intern group completes the Central Intelligence mission!!!

Had the chance to visit the Tick Tock Escape Room this past Thursday with my 7 Summer interns, and we had a blast. First off, I was grateful that the customer service team allowed us to wait for the last member of our team to arrive, who ended up getting lost on the way. Upon his arrival, it was simple process to get started; everyone scans a QR code and complete a digital waiver; which takes a matter of seconds and from there you're ready to begin! As a group we did the Central Intelligence room because it allows up to 10 people for the mission. Now I will tell you 5 of the 7 interns are soon to be engineers and this mission was CHALLENGING;, we barely made it out in time, with about 7 minutes to spare. This was such a great team building activity and I cannot wait to visit again!!! Thanks so much Tick Tock Escape Room team -- we'll be back!!!!

The staff was extremely friendly, and welcoming. Especially since this was our first escape room experience. They often lended a helping hand ultimately nudging us closer towards the end.

Holy smokes. Talk about quality and production value! We did the Pyramid Paradox, and even though the spoken preface to the puzzle room worried me (if the puzzles need that much explaining were we in over our heads?), the experience turned out excellent. Plenty of ups and down, observation skills, patience, and yea math, too. We got thru with a handful of minutes to spare and we all loved it. Highly recommend 6 people, even though we had more than that.

At BRKTHROUGH, you compete in challenge rooms (there are 40 of them, although a couple were unavailable during our visit) - they last a minute or longer, and are categorized as Physical (requiring speed, agility, coordination, etc), Mental (brainpower, trivia, memory, and puzzle-solving), or Skill (precision, dexterity, patience). The descriptors above came from the BRKTHROUGH website, but I can confirm that they are descriptive of the challenges. The room type/difficulty is shown on a triangle, so they are often a combination of two items (for example, mostly physical with some skill-based components). Every room is scored based on your completion (or lack, thereof) out of 100 points. You can redo rooms as often as you like, keeping the highest score. Your team has an RFID wristband to enter the rooms. Your goal is to earn as many points as you can during the time period you paid for (we did 2 hours). Not only do you try to get your best score, there is a leaderboard to show how you are doing against the other teams in the building. You can earn a prize if you obtain a certain minimum score, or win against the other groups. Other than the boys arguing over strategies, we had a good time. Even with young kids, we were able to complete a lot of the rooms. There are plenty of rooms that could be completed by those with physical limitations, but obviously not all of them. We had a good time and the time flew by. There is also a bar and restaurant and a few games to play after your time is up. We had a blast and would definitely return again! , with live leaderboards tracking everyone in the building. You can read more about the activities or book your session on

The room we chose was very clean and well organized. The game itself, titled "Betrayal", was not terribly difficult, but it was a definite challenge. Our small group was not successful; however the game made it very possible to succeed. There was a very small amount of mis-direction and extra information, but not too much. If you were successful in progressing past a step, you could figure out the next step without wondering if you were on the wrong track. On one hand, I wish the room itself was a little more decorated to feel more immersed in the theme of the game and add to the experience.. On the other hand, when you're racing the clock, you don't want too many red herrings throwing you off track. I still think that Exit Games could do a little more in this area without causing too many problems. My only concern about this room would be for a group of 8 adults; the Betrayal room was not terribly large and I'm not sure how comfortable it would be in there for 8. I think that "Betrayal" is great for 4-6 people aged 14 and up to complete without too much trouble, but it's certainly not guaranteed. The more 'puzzle lovers' in your group, the better. Our pre-teen children had a lot of fun and were able to contribute towards our progress. This was our first experience with an escape room, and we all enjoyed the experience. We will definitely go back to Exit Games to try their other room based on our positive visit.

A somewhat underground phenomenon "escape rooms" are gaining traction as a family friendly and…read morebonding experience unlike any other. The basic premise is you and a group enter into a room or series of rooms with little direction and you must find clues to solve puzzles in order to finish the adventure. The complexity and difficulty are explained to the participants before purchase allowing the experience to be customized based on comfort level. Now that we've established a groundwork of what an escape room is, I'll describe my experience. I flew in to Kansas City to see my 17 graduate and spend time with her and my 14 yr old. It's somewhat of a tradition of ours to do an escape room. My daughter did some searches and based on rating decided to give "The Exit Room" a shot. I'm not sure how prices stack up for other facilities and I thought they were a lot higher than others however it was worth it. The Exit Room's location is fairly easy to find, parking is plentiful and the location in a safe area. Walking in is pretty neat with several areas great for photo ops. The guide (sorry if that's not what the person is called) was pleasant greeting us and gave us a run down of all the things we needed to know. He guided us to our destination, wished us luck and shut the door. I don't want to give to much away but, in the room, there's a monitor in case you're in need of hints. You hold up a sign for help and the "guide" will assist via intercom. We did need one hint and I rather liked the ambiguity b/c it wasn't to the point of "press that button" rather, "look closely at the puzzle and notice the direction." The carefully crafted responses were given to not ruin the experience. The puzzles themselves varied in nature. A physical slide puzzle here, a series of puzzles with colors there and several puzzles that had clues fit into a larger puzzle. Basically, the rooms are meant to challenge both sides of the brain but patience is a virtue. After successfully completing a puzzle an audio/visual cue is given thus a small shot of dopamine hits the brain simulating reward. While not only indicating the current puzzle is complete, it reinvigorates hope and focuses your attention on the next obstacle. I can't recall exactly but I believe my 60-minute adventure had a total of 15 or so puzzles. The only small issue I had was with the final puzzle but I'm not going to divulge my irritation with the implementation of said puzzle. Overall, my girls and I enjoyed the experience. While I'm a very deep thinking my greatest experience came from letting my kids take ownership and watching my oldest child take over, demonstrating leadership, organization and analytical thinking. This is an interaction occasion not a sitting on the sofa type of atmosphere. The Exit Room provides the perfect adventure for those willing to challenge themselves and try something different. I highly encourage everyone to take my "hint" and give it a shot.

First, it super cool getting to go to The Beast haunted house building to get to the escape rooms. It really sets the tone for the experience and we loved getting to appreciate such an old building in the day light. The younger gentleman that was working this day was great! He was very friendly, seemed to really enjoy working here, and did a great job explaining everything to us. The 6 of us were taken to our escape room and got our briefing. The room was a lot of fun and took some real brain power on some of the puzzles. Without any spoilers, the room was exciting, had some fun moving pieces, and we all had such a fun time. Now, all that said, this is my 7th or 8th escape room I have done. This one has some difficulty with solving certain puzzles but overall, I felt it was kind of on the easier side. I felt it needs a few more puzzles to actually solve because even though it took us 50 of the allotted 60 minutes, I don't feel like we actually solved "that" many puzzles. I was also hoping for maybe a little bit more of décor and stuff like that. I think some other rooms I have been to really put you into a more immersive experience. I definitely want to come back and try their hardest room(s). But overall, it was a blast and our group had a terrific time.
