I really cannot say enough about the instruction and overall experience - this is THE way for young musicians to progress as players and as members of a music-making team. The instruction is top notch and the performance experiences are incredible opportunities with pro-level support.

We left when the CHILDREN started introducing the songs politically and the parents likely weren't in agreement (only one person in the packed out audience clapped). That ruined it. This was supposed to be a celebration of San Ramon's kid's achievements. Politics??? Really? Politics weren't what these parents were here for. More importantly politics are not appropriate when the kids are too young to have strong discernment between what their teachers are telling them to say and what they are seeking to understand and cultivate for themselves. Because they're kids and they're getting a cool opportunity to perform, they might even be too intimidated to refuse to say it ...which is straight up exploitation. School of Rock: please don't manipulate our kids that way, stay in your lane. Parents: be advised that you will not be your child's only moral influence when you send them to this music school. They don't just grow talent. They tell them what to believe and you might not agree.
