The Rosary service was that evening, and the funeral in less than 24 hours. I still had to arrange the flowers for the funeral, among other things you do for dear friends, but this was essential. Dan took my call and kindly said they could help. I sent over the art files I'd created with some difficulty -- which needed a bit of adjusting, and he said he could format them. He suggested I come in and select the card stock. Here's when Dan became exactly the professional I needed. "Dan, can you please do this for me. I have no time. Pretend my friend is your sister, and make the most beautiful, most perfect prayer cards you can." And he did. He chose an elegant white woven card stock which printed beautifully. The image and text on the front lined up well with the prayer on the back, and they cut them all to size for me. I picked them up on my way to church. The 100 people who picked up the cards will place them in their bibles, or with other keepsakes, and remember my friend for many years to come. Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be.
