Talk about a kick in our collective crotches. So this time around, on a longer trip, and the van having aged a bit more, we were all half expecting to not make it home. And cue the funny noises and bouncing. We pulled over to investigate what the cause might be, assuming the worst, and feeling uncomfortable with continuing the remaining three hours to Hot Springs, we called Triple A to find a reputable helper. The only time I had ever been to rural Texas (where we were wasn't particularly "rural" but it wasn't a city, and we could have been stranded) was via films like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" so I had no idea what to expect. We pulled off the back road type setting to Rychlik to find a parking lot FULL of vehicles, and a bunch of garages with occupied lifts. We assumed we'd be stranded for hours--DAYS EVEN!!!--and had every plan to call the next venue and tell them we wouldn't make it. However, within 20 minutes, they had diagnosed the problem, and less than an hour later, we were back on the road heading to our next show. I can't say enough for a mechanics shop that puts other projects on hold to help the city folk get to their next concert on time. Amazing service--really got us out of a bind!!

I spent over $4,000.00 for 2 separate repairs to my BMW and over $2,000.00 for repair to my JAGUAR…read morelast July and August. The repair to the Jag was ineffective (coolant odor) and the BMW had to be repaired within 2 weeks at a cost of less than $500.00 at another mechanic shop. I do believe they "saw me coming" simply because I also own a brand new Mercedes and a Jeep. I will never go back.

If I could give less than one star I would. I took my car to Mark to replace an EGR tube which we…read morehad already purchased. Almost a week goes by and finally the car is ready to be picked up. (Prior to dropping the car off the only issue we had was the spark plugs and wires had just been replaced and this EGR tube Broke during this process. ) upon arrival, Mark tells us that the motor in my car is bad and it "might not even make it to the house" which is less than two miles from the shop. We pay the 259.00 he charged for what he's already done and go pay for a motor from a salvage yard (which they guarantee), with the agreement it will be picked up and Mark will replace the motor. Almost two weeks go by and we get the call that the car is ready. It was picked up by a family member as I was at work. The moment I get home I check it out thoroughly. Right away I notice there's a whirring/chirping sound which does not sound like a belt but rather a bearing or pulley. The oil was also well over full. The gas cap was missing entirely. There's now a pinhole in the coolant reservoir which is losing water and very fast. (never had lost water and I'd had it over a year) the next day I took it to Mark who was defensive that I implied something he'd done caused the issue with the reservoir. He agreed to replace the reservoir (which he did with a used one) and tells me the tensioner is bad after repeatedly trying to clean the brand new belt and looking at the car for about 30 minutes. Also says he's not sure what happened to the gas cap but has one there that he replaced it with (car had over 3/4 tank when I left it and had less than 1/4 when I picked it up). We bought the tensioner and Monday afternoon Mark replaced it. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau because ALL of this should've been seen before he said the car was ready. All of it. The next day I check my coolant level and it's almost empty with an oily residue on top of what little is left And the air conditioner which worked perfectly before it's now blowing hot air. I refill the coolant, take it back to Mark. When I pull up he lets me tell him what's wrong and then says "After what you did to me? Filing a complaint on me??" I say "yes, I'm very unsatisfied with the quality of your service here. I DO expect you to make this right" so he says "if its something I've done then I will but if not..." And dusts his hands off dramatically. I said "well, the air conditioner never had issues before, since it was replaced less than a year ago. And the car never lost coolant before and never had residue before so I don't see how it's NOT something you've done." He has an attitude and says there's nothing he can do about it tonight, I'll have to bring it the following day at lunch. He did some exploring on the coolant and let some air bubbles out and said to just watch it, he wasn't really sure what could be the problem. The next day my fiancée took the car back and watched as Mark ran a dye test on the A/C. He spilled the dye right in the fan which got dye all over. Then after a lot of looking said he saw a leak in the condenser which was probably "caused by a rock ". And refused to fix it further. This week the same whirring/chirping is back and my fiancée is so done with him that we're taking it elsewhere to be diagnosed. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A MECHANIC!!!! Do not take your stuff here unless you want to pay high prices for sub par work at best. We're out over $1600.00 and the check engine light is still on too.
