I am very happy with the concrete job they did for our house. They did gray stamped concrete around 3 sides of the house. The 2 walkways, front entrance stairs, rear patio with steps and side yard came out looking amazing. I thought the color was a little lighter than I expected, but after they applied the high gloss protective coating on the concrete the color came out exactly how I wanted it to look. We were looking to install a gazebo which needed a round concrete pad in place before installation. The other companies we checked said the job was too small, or they couldn't get it poured in time to meet our deadline. We saw and liked a photo of a round, star-stamped pad of concrete and called Sandoval without much hope of making the deadline but he was out inspecting the job right away, and he was so nice we showed him 3 other jobs we were planning and he took them all on with a very reasonable quote. We went back and forth with some design ideas and even increased the size of the pad with no change to the original price estimate. The crew showed up and prepped the areas - a lot of work but done in no time at all. There was a happy vibe about their work and we enjoyed watching them. One even threw the ball to our border collie! They consulted us while they were working, added the rebar and did a professional job curing it, even telling us the right time to add our grandson's handprint to the job! We went from being concerned that the gazebo would arrive with no concrete pad in place to Sandoval Concrete beautifully stepping in and saving the day. It was an awesome experience. Our backyard was in need of a lot of repairs. The pavers were old and the sand underneath was coming up to the surface and into our house. Very are pleased with Sandoval Concrete for extending our driveway and front patio. We got 3 quotes and decided to go with Sandoval Concrete because their quote included materials and dirt removal. They also completed the job in 2 days. Cheaper quotes did not include dirt removal and would require 2-3 weekend because the provider did it as a side job. Our walkway had become uneven because of the roots of a huge tree growing nearby, going underneath and yanking the slabs out of place. It was a tripping hazard for anyone coming to our house and we had to get it fixed. We got 3 quotes and decided to go with Sandoval Concrete as their quote was the middle quote. I think we made the right decision and the final outcome turned out very much to our satisfaction. Alvaro and his team were there before 7 AM on two days and worked very diligently. They first demolished the old walkway, added 2" base rock and compacted it and the next day poured 5" deep concrete on rebar#3 in broom finish. Alvaro was very good with communication and answered our texts and emails as soon as possible, which was a huge plus. At the end of the project, I asked him for a minor addition and he agreed to do it, saying that it was not a big deal. He came 3 days later and did the minor change in ten minutes. After writing my original review, I did hire Sandoval Concrete to install artificial turf adjacent to the concrete patio they originally poured. Turf installation turned out great! I chose a turf that needed to be ordered- Alvaro's crew did the prep work a couple of days in advance of its arrival so that when it came they could install it that same afternoon. We had a large patch of concrete in our backyard that was old and in poor condition. We hired Sandoval Concrete to replace this concrete as well as the sidewalk on the side of our house and another sidewalk in front of our back patio. The total job was ~ 920 sq ft. Alvaro is the owner and his quote was competitive. They completed the job with very high quality and on schedule. Alvaro worked every day on the job and worked as hard as anyone on his team. Alvaro and his team of 3 others are super nice and easy to work with, offered great advice, communicated very well, and met every one of our requests. They cleaned up everything and fixed our fence better than it was previously (a section had to be removed to give access to the Bobcat). Don't usually take the time to write reviews unless a business does an exceptionally poor job or an exceptionally great job; just far to busy. In this case Alvaro and his crew did an exceptional job. To be clear, I am not the easiest of customers. I tend to be hands on and had a complicated issue regarding a sewer cleanout that would have stuck out like a sore thumb in a combination concrete/paver driveway. Alvaro resolved by creating a custom metal frame that held a paver and covered the cleanout access so frame/paver could be removed to gain access to the clean out. This in addition to how quickly/efficiently he/his crew completed the job. Despite the cleanout component and a drainage issue, the job was completed exactly as quoted. Unheard of these days. Would have absolutely no reservations recommending Sandoval concrete. If I had to sum up it all up in one sentence, "A great job at fair price!" read more

We absolutely loved Sandoval Concrete and the amazing work they did on our house! Alvaro and his crew completed the job, which was pretty big, in half the time he had estimated. The job involved breaking up and removing all of the concrete around our ranch house in Morgan Hill and then pouring a salmon colored concrete that was stamped. Alvaro had lots of great advice and input on how to make the concrete look classy - like adding some nice borders, adding a grape design in some of the borders near our small grape bunch and putting some very nice rounded edges in placed that would have other wise been a boring corner. About two months ago, we finished our backyard and front yard with stamped concrete. It is about 2,300 sf. including driveway, side yard, backyard and playground. My family is so satisfied with Sandoval Concrete that I want to share some information with you. Among four received offers Sandoval was the only one who dig out the ground to check the yard like tree root, soil etc. Just based on this point I decided to choose Sandoval as our concrete contractor. Regarding their job, they are well organized, on schedule, clean, enthusiastic, professional. There are certain processes from the concrete base, rebar to the pouring and stamping. - Sandoval finished each process in one or two days as they planned. The Sandoval himself came to work everyday. He always checked with me about some details before the next step. It only took 7 days to finish the whole project. - They also cleaned the dirt thoroughly everyday before they worked off. - Sandoval also proposed a good idea to design our backyard with two different types of stamped concrete. I manage a small strip mall in San Jose and needed concrete work done. I called 6 contractors off Yelp as well as some other recommendations. Of those, Alvaro Sandoval from Sandoval Concrete was great. He came out for an estimate, and let me know if he was running behind on his current job. (I understand that some jobs are time sensitive, so that's fine that he let me know.) He understood what I needed done, which was to remove existing asphalt inside a trash enclosure, and the area in front of it, dispose the asphalt, and install new concrete that will withstand trash trucks and big rigs, and repair 3 parking lot bollards. The price was very reasonable, and he clearly spelled out what he was going to do in his estimate, no hidden fees. When the Sandoval Concrete crew arrived, they had all the necessary equipment, the skid steer loader with jackhammer and dump truck, etc, as well as cones and other traffic barricades. Excavating and rebar were done in one day. The next day was the concrete pour, and everybody was great and knew what they were doing and worked efficiently. The end product looks great. Alvaro Sandoval pointed out that the 3 bollards failed due to the concrete layer being thin and made sure the embed them in a lot of concrete. Our commercial strip center is a small one, and we intend to replace the rest of the cracked asphalt in the alley behind the businesses with concrete as we get more funds, and we'll definitely call Sandoval Concrete back for all that work as well. read more

When I decided to have a large patio done in my yard, I looked Online and contacted several cement companies to get an estimate. During the estimate faze, I had lots of questions and was looking for direction to help with a design. I read some reviews on the companies, I called, but I take them all with a grain of salt...Sandoval Concrete was one of the last companies to give me an estimate, you could tell when you asked the same questions to everyone else prior, he elaborated more in detail.
