A friend of mine recommended Sandoval fence and I know their fence turned out good, but the guy that does the metal gates, not so good. We hired them to do our fence and gate. I wanted a metal gate for easier opening. Our gate is only about 3 feet (5 ft with the trim). The gate I really wanted was fancier with decorative trim, but it was going to cost more than the 84 foot fence that we were having put in. So I went with a basic metal frame and tongue and groove boards. I was never asked how high I wanted the metal posts. I hated the length that was put in. Not to mention the back side of the metal fence was not aligned. One metal piece was several inches higher than another and some were lower. It was very mismatched. Plus the screws on the outside of the fence were all over the place. Some were not even screwed in properly. We contacted the owner and he came out to look. He had the guy that does the metal work add an extension to the posts and fix all the mismatched metal on the back, which still is not that good. When he added to the posts, he had to weld and try to make it look smooth. It doesn't. I am happier with the height of the post, but they don't look smooth and nice. The metal frame was adjusted to be more even, but still not very good. The man that does the metal framing just doesn't care about his work. He is older and probably has the job due to his experience in welding, but he doesn't give a darn how his work looks. Don't get me wrong, I am all in support of older workers (I am one myself), because of their experience, but when you don't give a darn about what your producing, it is time to give it up. I really wanted another guy in my area to do my gate, but being Sandoval fencing was doing the fence, I went ahead and had them do the gate at the same time. They really need to find another guy to do their metal fencing work. As I said, i was pleased with the fence, but still disappointed on the metal gate. I agreed to this company because my neighbor wanted to use them. What a mistake. They broke sprinklers and lines. Covered the breakage with concrete and then demanded to be paid for the repairs. The sprinklers were clearly marked. My neighbor still has found the electrical line that runs between his valves and time clock, they broke the wire and buried it. Chris came out and gave us an estimate, as well as later working up a different estimate for a barebones fence that would satisfy the insurance adjuster. We ended up contracting with them even though they had a long backlog. The guys that came out did a great job on our new fence, hauling away what remained of the old one and putting up a premium looking replacement. One of the worst services I've received at my home. I should've seen the warning signs and stayed away. I am only awarding this company 2 stars because at the end of the day I have a fence up that is straight and looks nice from a distance. The following review will summarize the following: -No care for the customer's time or home -Sloppy, incomplete work was left and not completely repaired -Complete miscommunication and disorganization within the company I found this company on yelp and through the recommendations of several coworkers that the company has provided services for. I was happy that they were quick to schedule an estimate. The estimator even called me several days early and said he could come that evening; he said he would be there in 15 minutes he showed up an hour later. Red Flag number 1. Time is important to me which is why we chose to pay thousands of dollars for a service rather than doing it ourselves. My husband and I decided to go with Sandoval and so we paid our deposit and booked the appointment for our fence work to begin. A few days later I answered my "Ring" doorbell app to see that it was the estimator. He was there to provide an estimate. I was thoroughly confused because I had just paid the deposit and this guy was the one who was already at my house.... how could he not remember? Red Flag #2 Now I'm worried. Our appointment was booked several weeks from when our deposit was paid, totally understandable as there's other jobs. Finally our time comes and I receive a phone call the night before that the worker's did not finish their job for the day and so they had to postpone our job for four days. My husband had taken the following day off of work to be here when the work was completed. We are not usually one's to leave strangers in our home or backyard unattended. So I was quite frustrated and I was ASSURED that this company provides "AMAZING, INCREDIBLE work". I said that I had plans with my husband the day they rescheduled and the office rep promised they would leave a nice backyard and beautiful fence. She let us know to be ready and that between 8am and 9am they would arrive. I have two large dogs that live inside but need to use the restroom so we needed to make sure that happened. We had planned to get up at 7:30 and get our stuff going for the staff. I was woken up at 7:20 to the sound of the truck and my dogs going berzerk! I understand that it's hot outside but if you tell your customer 8am-9am that's what it means. This was a small thing but in the scheme of things, the time issue is major with this company. The work began and they were busting through it. I thought "wow they're efficient" so we got ready and went about our plans. We were SO excited to come home to this "AMAZING, INCREDIBLE work" and instead come home to POSTS LEFT AND EXPOSED, piles of dirt everywhere, weed barrier ripped up, planter borders ripped up and sticking out. We asked to leave our existing gate and literally TWO nails were holding the fence they made to our gate. WHAT THE ***** was our first impression when we walked into the $2500+ service that we paid for. WOW. I sent an email and the office staff was very quick to respond, apologize, and assure that this is unusual. Why were we the one's screwed? After the estimator/ owner? Chris came out to inspect the work he made several comments about the work being subpar because they don't usually work on Saturdays. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. It is not my fault that they didn't complete their work and had to add an extra day. Why should I be the one left with a mess? He had them come back and fix the posts. They left the dirt mess but I did say that it was not my biggest concern. He assured me that they attached more than two nails to the gate but yet, when I came back after they "fixed" the work there were 10-15 more nails slapped in crooked to hold the gate on... again, wow! I'm still upset, still unhappy but I've already told the estimator about my concerns. I did not receive a follow up call or any communication to ask if I was happy with the repairs or to thank me for my patience. I showed the people who recommended Sandoval fence the work that Sandoval completed at my home and they could not believe it was the same company. Even the office staff couldn't believe the absolute mess they left. Sorry for the rant but I feel like I've got to warn you. Save yourself the heart ache and go to a company that has a little bit of care, accountability and respect for their customers. read more

Left a mess, broke lights/plant and refuses to make it good. The mess was easily avoidable (left dirt scattered on top of my decorative rock with a weed-block under-layment. Workers just didn't care. Broke 2 lights and damaged a third. Said that their contract says 2 feet and they're not responsible. Lights were at 2 feet +. Would never recommend a company that doesn't care about the collateral damage/mess they make. Replaced the fence on the opposite side of our property and never had an issue. Sandoval fence is the best price I've found by far. I had a price quote by two different companies in my town before Sandoval fence and the other companies were several hundred dollars more. Sandoval fence isn't even in my town so they had to travel too and their prices were still lower. My neighbor came into the fence plans last minutes and this fence company were asked to do some last minutes changes and they did politely and without a price increase. The took down my old fence, cleaned and trimed away trees that were in the way, put up the new fence and cleaned up and hauled away all the debris. They are prompt and friendly and the fence they built was excatly what I envisioned. I will be going to them again and recommending them. read more

I have used Sandoval in the past and they do good work for a reasonable price. They did a dog ear fence with cedar pickets. I asked for a bid the middle of the week of 3/22/21. It took 3 calls for them before they finally called on 4/2/21. They were booked up 'till 6/1/21 which most fence companies are. When I asked for an bid, they said that the first possible estimate would be 6/4/21? Keep in mind, I only need an estimate. I have 30 days to answer other completive bids giving me. I had to tell them thanks but no thanks! Even if I wanted to hire them, how can I without seeing their pricing? Guess they don't care. Not a good rep to have! 1 star for unreasonable. read more

Neighbor picked this company to build a new fence. In general the work was ok I did want to say I was a little disappointed that the workers didn't care one iota about the plants in my yard. I cleared everything away from my fence in preparation leaving plenty of room and empty space. Despite this the workers still laid the wood on top of my plants and stepped all over them to the point I had to pull them all out. Called again on 1/19/2017 and spoke with someone who told me that I would be contacted by end of the day. WELL 28 DAYS LATER and still no return call. Had 2 fence sections already in place with 2 in. galvanized pipe 7 ft tall with 2 ft in the ground 5 ft.above and 5 ft. pickets 12 in. grass board with a green 2x4 on the bottom in case of dirt contact, give us an estimate like whats there ,(maybe because the neighbor contacted them 1st they came up with 10 ft. posts 3 ft. in the ground and 7 ft. above ground with with 7 ft. pickets and good neighbor fence design being's were paying 1/2) , want 5 ft. pickets and a 1 ft. grass board like the fence that's there ! 3 ft. in the ground also need's a 811 call before you dig tag for liability if you go 3 ft. in the ground for a 7 ft.fence! don't go there ! they said they have built many fences before and know what what there doing,so I told the upfront we would not be liable for a ruptured utility, after they re wrote the proposal looked at the estimate and called the girls in there office told them again that's not what's there we want it like what's there round 7 ft.posts 5 ft. pickets 12 in. grass board and told them to build it with a green board like what's there, they said ok and came back with the bid with 5 ft pickets 12 in. grass board and post masters steel posts added the green 2x4 bottom rail at an additional charge, we said ok as long as it's like it's like whats there ,I don;t how many times I expressed it to be built like the ones already done ! Well the fence got built with a T shaped posts not round ,wobbles badly 8 ft.rails adding to no strength 2 screw's 1/2 in. in from each end to attach 8 ft. sections , green board 12in. above ground at the grass board and picket splice, saw how it was built and no good neighbor fence no round posts wobbles terribly told the girls in the office it was unacceptable what happened to the round posts she said they don't do round posts I said then why did you even give us an estimate if you can't build it like that !don't care what the post's are called you had a clear example of what's there I said the fence will be coming apart in a few years she said they build them like that all the time , we signed the contract and too bad now ( these are the guys who would not know there names if it were pinned on there shirts) DON'T USE THESE GUYS THEY DON'T LISTEN AND CANT'T BUILD A FENCE IF THEY HAVE A MODEL TO BUILD FROM! read more

I have never made a yelp comment before. We searched for the best deal in replacing a 15 year old fence that was rotting. Our neighbor had me look for the contractor to do the work. We received quotes from several local contractors that were excessive. Sandoval Fence provided the most reasonable quote and we contracted with them, The job required two days. On Monday, (yesterday) the workers showed up on time, they removed the old fence in less than 90 minutes, replaced the fence in about five hours, and cleaned up all debris in a total of eight hours. We are very pleased with the results and most strongly recommend Sandoval Fence. Our neighbor is now looking at replacing the remaining fence (on the other side) using Sandoval Fence. read more

Where do I start worst company i have ever worked with. Bob will provide you with a timeline of completion that is not accurate. I was told I would have a fence in 2 weeks and it took two months. They do not know how to work on electric gates the company has come out 4 times and the operating system still does not work correctly. The workers are hard working but do to mis-management and scheduling the company is completely unorganized. I live on a busy highway and what was distributing was the lack of concern for my children. This was a new house we just moved into and I needed a fence to protect my children from the road. If I knew they where going to take 2 months I would have worked with a different company. The main reason for the delay was because Bob forgot to schedule a concrete contractor to pour the gate rail. Instead of admitting his mistake he just did not return my calls for a full week. You can't make this stuff up lol. Once my wife talked to the concrete contractor he was a kind man and cleared his schedule the next day because of our story. I can keep going but I m just going to end with save the headache do not use sandoval fence. read more

We had some fencing done at our home, had to share the cost with a neighbor, my neighbor was renting the property, so Sandoval handled everything from contacting the neighbors property owner to negotiate the cost of repair and replacement of sections of the fence. Bob at Sandoval Fence came highly recommended by my insurance agent. Briefly: GOOD-Lots of experience. Responded fast when I first called and knew the answers to my questions Finished the job in one day with two then four hard workers They had all the tools and the material was good quality Best price by far BAD-Delayed starting my job because of labor shortages and he had bigger contracts to work. I got pushed to the end. Also, they did not respond to my later calls while waiting for start of the project. Though the workers worked hard, they wrecked several of my plants and broke some sprinklers. Granted there was a lot of plants and room was tight, but they had little regard for being careful, just being fast.
