I know nothing about Mesquite, but my best friend's grandparents live here. I'm going to be completely honest and straightforward here, I liked Eureka MUCH better than Casablanca, where we stopped at heading towards Utah. Compared to Casablanca, Eureka looks a lot newer and they have a lot more options and stuff to do. I had read after our trip that Eureka had gone under renovations about two years ago and they plan to build more retail stuff around it in the future. They have endless slot machines inside and they have a pretty big sportsbook, although I've seen bigger before. I did consider playing one of the slot machines since I had cash on me, but I didn't go for it. Being a Vegas local that has been inside so many casinos, I don't gamble or play slot machines all that much. Going forward, if we ever take another road trip to Utah, Eureka will be our permanent stop.

We headed over on a Saturday night around 9pm. The casino was hopping with lots of people hanging out inside gambling. I did find two of my favorite machines & had to hit them up. One was Lobstermania & I got to play for awhile on it but didn't walk away with any money. The machine was buy some doors into the casino & we got hit with a cold breeze every time the door was opened. We then ventured to the center bar for some drinks & to play video poker & keno. Bartenders were nice. Next I hit up another favorite game of mine, a devil game. Then I hit up the Black Jack table for some fun, it was hot for awhile then it wasn't. Then we hit up the electronic craps game because the craps table was full. I'm new to craps but my friend knows how to play it so he was helping me. We spent a lot of time there & the cocktail waitresses were very attentive. The ladies bathroom wall tile is very pretty. The casino was clean, didn't stink of cigarette smoke & looked new. Very nice casino & I can't wait to go back!

"Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer." Unfortunately, that was not my experience…read morehere. I came across Grand Destination Vacation Club at the San Mateo County Fair in May 2025. They were advertising a "free" 4-day, 3-night trip to Hawaii, including flights, hotel, and a luau. It sounded like a great deal at the time, so I signed up and even paid a $100 deposit. Fast forward over a year later I still haven't received the voucher. On top of that, the terms are incredibly restrictive. They require you to travel Monday to Monday, which means I'd have to pay out of pocket for extra days just to make the trip worthwhile, if I ever even get the voucher. The whole experience felt misleading from the start. They require you to sit through a long timeshare-style sales presentation over Teams, followed by breakout rooms where multiple representatives pressure you into buying their membership. When I said no, they became visibly annoyed and kept sending different people to try to convince me. Their packages go up to $30,000, and honestly, I can easily book my own flights and hotels for far less without worrying about hidden fees or restrictions. What's most concerning is the lack of transparency. There's no clear website, email, or phone number unless you're already a member, which feels like a huge red flag. Overall, this felt like a bait-and-switch situation. I would strongly recommend staying away.

After the Zoom call they pawn you off to a company called Selectmyrewardnow.com. This company charges your card another $70 and they want you to pay another $150 to a resort just to sit through a two hour presentation. You will never see your FREE vacation and you will never get your money back. I called the contact person Jake from GDV Club and he will not answer his phone.

The property is very well-maintained, the restaurants are a delight, and the pool area is excellent--I loved being able to order drinks right from my lounge chair. My only real complaint was the check-in process; my room wasn't ready until two hours after the official check-in time. It was a bit of an inconvenience after a long day of meetings, but the staff was friendly, and I was able to pass the time using the gym. I also bought a day pass for the spa, which turned out to be pretty underwhelming. Aside from a private pool and steam room, it doesn't offer much unless you're booking an actual treatment. A private spa jacuzzi would have been a huge plus, especially since the main resort jacuzzi was constantly crowded. Unless you are getting a specific service, I would skip the spa pass. Overall, despite the check-in delay, it was a great stay and I would definitely return.

Once we checked out, they billed us for the massage service and the tee time. Then were told that they take care of the room cost. It ended up being around $60 more which we didn't mind, just confused why this wasn't communicated or promoted correctly. Next, the room was extremely hot even when running the a/c unit at 60 degrees. The unit you can tell is very old. Lastly, the service at almost every restaurant was unwelcoming and rude. Waited over an hour for our food at Jersey Joe's with a server who was overwhelmed and had attitude. Similar experiences at Einstein Bagel's and Rita's and Fajitas. The casino staff were nice! Valet also was welcoming. Overall, there seems to be a ton of disorganization with new ownership and the staff doesn't seem to be informed. To top it all off, they definitely aren't welcoming or hospitable. I'd avoid booking a stay here.

The WIFI is super slow it can take several minutes for a page to load and will disconnect on you several times a day, so good luck if you are using it for something important like bill paying or doing your taxes etc.... The mattress was old, sagging, and caved in making it very hard on our backs. The walls are terribly dirty and sticky, it is bug, roach, and fruit fly infested, you hardly ever get hot water when you need it nor is there any water softening system. Everything inside the unit was old and run down showing lots of wear, breakage and with dirty fingerprints on the cabinet doors. The carpets are filthy. The front door is dirty and flimsy with lots of light coming in from around the door frame which makes it easy for even more insects to enter. We really could not believe that people live here or how it passed inspection with the City of Mesquite to get sold in the first place?? Did I mention the Dog and Cat Crap Everywhere? Be prepared to step in it and track it into your Apartment from time to time. We ended up checking out much earlier than we wanted to and moved across town. Never again will we stay here unless they fix it up and debug it.... I hope the new owners have plans of gutting this place and starting over. It needs a full rehab.... Not Recommended

(Others should try that) I can't speak for every building and everyone else, but for the 2-3 years I lived in building #2, I never had a roach problem. They did have a bug contractor spraying every unit frequently, which helps a lot but speaking from common sense, you yourself have to keep your place clean to keep them out. (Should try that out too) Overall, great place to live, I had great neighbors for the majority of the time I was there, never had an issue with the management, very reasonable price for what I rented and always very peaceful! I would definitely go back. Thank you personally to Management for making my experience here a wonderful one.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE…read more Several years ago we rented an apartment and had a pet. We paid the deposit and pet fee, paid on time every month, were model tenants. At the end of the lease they charged us $150 for "Ventilation Cleaning". There is nothing in the lease that states we are responsible for the vents being cleaned. The Nevada Implied Warranty of Habitability states that the property owners are REQUIRED to "keep electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, **ventilating**, and air-conditioning systems and elevators operating safely". It IS NOT and WAS NOT our responsibility to pay for the ventilation cleaning. They cannot be trusted to be honest or have any sort of integrity. Again, DO NOT RENT FROM MESQUITE BLUFFS UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE.
