Really No amenities..no garbage's for dog poo bags , only the large green container which there is only one on site. No picnic tables, fire pits. WiFi service exceptionally poor. No pool, pickle ball courts. Essentially paved roads with tons of gravel to park on. Even the septic hookups are incorrectly designed. When we arrived I had told him we wanted to stay for 3 possibly 5 nights . He told us fine , if there was any change just to let him know. We decided to leave after three nights , he held up a paper saying no refunds. He denied our previous conversation. Who dLes this in a business? Beautiful Views from the high mesa this park is on. Pull in somewhere else.... I will start with the positives, because I feel like it is fair. It was easy to find. Easy sites to pull into. The surrounding landscape is gorgeous. Now, for the not so positives. When you pull up the website for this place, it makes you believe you will be arriving at a beautiful oasis, with the sound of a tranquil three tiered fountain lulling you to sleep. Well..... the pictures from the website are no where near what you actually get when you arrive. Most the spots do not have any shade at all and it appears that the tranquil fountain has been empty for quite some time. Check out out my pictures and judge for yourself. Besides the disappointment of not arriving at a beautiful oasis, there are some other issues that must be addressed. First, there are no picnic tables. I don't know about you, but part of the camping experience is sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and playing games outside. Unless you have a table of your own, you will be confined to do these activities inside. Second, the camp hosts do not make you feel welcomed. When I arrived I felt like I was an unwanted guest that arrived without notice. It started my trip out feeling like I had done something wrong before I even was set up. Finally, it is NOT kid friendly. When we checked the website, it did NOT say it was a 55 or older place. I would suggest that if this is the clientele they want, it should be made very clear. We would not have stayed there had we known they didn't want us there. The reason I know they didn't want us there was because they very rudely scolded the kids for riding their bikes in the wrong places and scowled at them constantly. I am a rule follower, so if there are rules, post them and if small children are breaking these rules have grace and patience with them as sometimes children need a few reminders to do things the correct way. Unfortunately the only time the camp host spoke to us directly, was in a heated debate telling us to pack up the bikes. This could have been handled so much differently, with kindness perhaps. If our kids were not riding in areas you did not want them to ride, speak to us, the parents, and give us the opportunity to discuss it with them. So, when you are in town, I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere. For this campground, I would recommend training in customer service, as well as a complete revamp of your website to give accurate descriptions of your expectations and the appearance of the facility. read more

This park is really nice. The staff is really friendly. The price is very reasonable. The only downside is that the grounds ie: grass is not there. We stayed here about 14 years ago when it was getting started as a Class A only park. I guess it ran into some problems. They are now open to all RV's. Now the view is really amazing during the night. Would I stay here the next time we are passing through? You can bet I would. To be honest I think this the best park in the area. read more

My wife and I have stayed here several times over the past few years. The first time we only stopped for just one night and enjoyed the peace and quietness of the park and ended up staying four nights. Many parks claim to be Big Rig Friend but Solstice actually is. With a 45 foot motorhome with a tow car I was easily able to maneuver around and go to my large space and didn't even have to disconnect. With large level spaces, with many cable channels, free WiFi, good power, and wonderful views high above the Mesquite City lights and mountain range all around it's a nice park to stay at. In addition Solstice Motorcoach has a wonderful staff that always has been extremely friendly and very courteous. Have a Blessed Day !!! read more

If you were expecting a dessert oasis because that's what the website portrayed, you've been had. Is a flat plot of dirt and gravel. The manager was rude. When we arrived, not so much as a "Hello! How was your drive?" We were met with "How old is your trailer? You're pushing it" (there is a 14 year old trailer max, mine is 13) There is no water, the pool on the website is "soon to be added", and in the driest state in the nation...you aren't allowed to set up a shade gazebo. This place is not family friendly; we would not recommend and will not be staying here again. read more

Spent a couple nights here about a decade or so ago, the pictures from the website are what I recall the place looking and feeling like. We got the exact opposite of what the website describes the place. The grass, dead! The water feature, dried up! The customer service/family inviting/kid friendly and welcoming, non existent (no mention of 55+ on the website nor when I reserved the spot). I am a rule follower and a disciplinarian when it comes to my kids. If the kids are not following the rules, you come talk to the parents. The camp host (male) was the opposite of friendly or patient, our kids were immediately met with a "grumpy" old man who picked apart how we pulled in, parked, set up, had dinner, walked, threw trash away and not to be overly specific but how my kids played outside. With that said, my kids were not in anyway showing disrespect or being loud in any way. We were in our trailer about 8pm or so each night, not disturbing any of the 55+ couples. Really sad that couples with kids are met with "grumpiness" immediately showing up for a nice camping trip. If anyone reads these things, skip this place if you respect rules, have kids, and are under 55 years old. Terrible place!! read more

First and foremost, the staff is extremely nice, attentive, and polite. Check-in was a breeze. Finding the park was very easy, and you are only 3-4 minutes from the highway. The overall location of this park is simply PHENOMENAL! What a potential! What a view at the top! If there is something you might have forgotten before taking off for your trip, there is a Wal-Mart just a mile from the RV park, fuel, and even an car wash with RV wash! There is also a hospital just before the stores mentioned above. Great, great, great location, when accounting for all of these things. Food is available, not a ton of options, but you can easily find your standard fast food restaurants, and some other local fare (less than 10 minutes driving). If reviews were simply based off that, this place would go to five stars in a heartbeat. However... The park IS NOT what you see on the pictures. The place is underdeveloped. The grounds are not maintained, there is no water on the center "pond", the grass areas have dirt, rock, and weeds, many sites are not ready (no power meter, etc). Only one shower was available during our (one day) stay (there's only three available and one is for handicapped access), and there are hardly any trash receptacles available on the grounds. While we were there, less than 10 RVs spent the day, and some of them are long term customers waiting for their house to be built nearby. In all, the potential is -more than- certainly there. But the price paid is roughly $10 per night more than what it's worth now (we paid $37); some sites are $48! If the RV park was truly ready to receive visitors and present itself as a true resort, these rates can easily be between $40-$65 per night, depending on site view, amenities, size of rig, and length of stay. Secure some funding, hire good contractors to build this place out quickly and efficiently, add some amenities -outdoor movie theater, campfire ring, mini golf-, and make it a true RV resort. Build it right, and they will come!! read more

I am so disappointed in this place. I came here 13 years ago and it was green and lush and so friendly. Now it has weeds and no grass or water. The pictures look nothing like what is shown on the webpage. For 13 years the website says a pool coming soon. They are completely not child friendly. I think they need to redo the webpage for 55 and older only. They are grumpy camp hosts who are rude. They yelled at my children for everything they did. They yelled when they road their bikes or just talking. They got easily overwhelmed by 3 of us pulling in at once. And was rude. Instead of saying welcome they said what are you doing here. There are no camping picnic tables or shade. The views are amazing and it will work for a night on a drive thru camping spot, but if you want to stay and have kids don't choose here please as your kids won't be tolerated. read more

The best part of staying at Solstice was leaving. We stayed two nights, and we were nitpicked about everything. The camp hosts were terrible; they were condescending and very unfriendly. I was belittled by the camp host, and all of our kids were treated poorly. The "host" told me that our kids weren't welcome because the "resort" is 55+. I'm fine with the place only wanting 55+, but the website doesn't say anything about age restrictions. The website needs to be updated to inform people about the 55+ rule. While they're updating the website, they should update the pictures on the site. The place is a dump. If they posted the new pictures, nobody would stay there, and they would close down. Don't stay there; give your money to another RV campground. read more

We made reservations for this place in January (2019) Being compulsively organized, I made exactly 3 calls between January and March (the month my reservation was made for). All 3 times, I stated my reservation number, type of rig I had, etc. All 3 times, the lady on the phone was cordial. Get to our reservation day and we drive 8... EIGHT... hours to get there. The minute we pull in, putting aside our dismay at what this place actually looks like- until further in this review- the woman who greeted us at the 'front desk' is nervous. Like, to the point you'd have thought she just came back from a bank heist. Weird, we thought to ourselves. Without looking up our reservation (I had paper in hand with reservation information on it), she tells me she needs to get her 'manager'. Again, weird, we thought. In walks some guy... from another RV parked in a customer spot and he decides to play the role of 'manager'. He asks us if we had ever called the RV park. Being compulsively organized, I produced the paper with all 3 calls made, with time, date and conversation. He then proceeds to tell us our trailer is too small for their RV park. Again.... after 3 lengthy conversations explaining what type of trailer we have and even going as far as picking a specific sight, we were NEVER told our trailer was too small for their park (FTR: our trailer was also brand new, still having paper plates on it, at the time, so it isn't an old trailer either). After some dismay (and an 8 hour drive), they told us we couldn't stay. It happened to be 'spring break' that weekend and every place in and around Mesquite was booked solid. We literally had no where to go. And they literally didn't care. We didn't wait for them to refund our money- we called our credit card company right there, in their parking lot. An hour later, having made some phone calls, we headed 40 minutes up the road to beautiful St. George, Utah and we ended up at such a nice RV park, we've been back to it 9 times, in 2019. Matter of fact, we stayed there for two weeks while we explored Zion NP. Mesquite offers nothing we'd ever be interested in and with over 184k followers on Twitter- we have been more than happy to tell everyone how the Solstice RV Park in Mesquite treated us. We've heard some awful stories of the place, by some followers so we're actually glad we never got to experience the full effect of the place. As to the looks of the place? It's depressing. No shade anywhere, no water feature like they'd like you to think, per their pictures on the website. The 'clubhouse' is a dilapidated, almost mobile home looking thing. Didn't want to touch any surfaces inside, for fear of picking up some type of ringworm'esque issue. Do yourself a favor- drive by this place and head up the road, 40 minutes. Great place to break up our long trip, we will be back!! We were on a road trip and needed to find a place for our travel trailer for the night. Staff is wonderful. Pull through site with full hookups for $29! When we pulled up we were greeted and escorted to our site, great service. All sites are walking distance to the clubhouse. The clubhouse has pool tables, air hockey and other games, large screen tv with cable. Clean indoor restrooms, fitness room, business center, laundry room and CLEAN SHOWERS! (All included) First campground I have felt comfortable taking my flip flops off in the shower. Outdoor bocce ball court, fire pit, BBQ This will be our stopping point for all our trips to Powell, Zion,Bryce Canyon etc.... read more

We've stayed at better stayaway's (koa) than this. The manager was an asshole and tryed to admonish us for questioning him on reserving a different spot than what they were giving us. We told him that we came here two weeks before and actually went to look at the site to reserve it! There was No, oh geez were sorry about the mix up and or we made a mistake sorry.... Solstice books itself as a "resort", but it is not. They charge a higher than average rate for a very average (below average?) product. The three pins in the picture on the web site are all empty and appear to have been so for some time. The grass areas are mostly weeds and are not well tended. The site I was given is terribly unlevel both front to back and side to side. With a smaller Class C motor home, it was impossible to get to anything close to level. When I complained I was told that there was nothing else available. I was also told that they don't usually put motor homes in these spaces because of leveling issues! This place was awesome! After a long day on the road, we simply wanted to find a decent RV park with nice hot showers. This was definitely the place to come. Bathrooms were very well kept, and private. They had body wash and shampoo already in there. The office (which was were the bathrooms are) also had a pool table, air hockey(which was out of order unfortunetly), and ping pong. There was also a nice TV area. The spots itself were fairly level. It was very clear that the man in charge spends lots of time making the park look nice and comfortable. I highly recommend Solstice! read more

It appears there is a development plan but they ran out of money. There is no dog park, pool, or hot tub. Laundry is by appointment only, one of the 2 dryers is broken. The fitness room appears for show only as it is very small and seat cushions are stored in it. The pool table is not level, there are no ping pong balls/paddles. It appears someone sleeps in a bed behind the office. The sites are patio facing patio. There is one dumpster located by the office so you may want to drive your trash. I asked what "the plan" is - like are they going to sell ownership lots but staff didn't seem to know. read more

My husband called on Wednesday to reserve for Wednesday night maybe Thursday. The manager calls at 8:55 in the morning and say for me to call them so when I finally am able to call her, she informs us because we didn't call her right back she had rented the space for two nights!!! check out isn't till 11:00 and she was suppose to give us till 11:00 to decide if we're staying. So look out the wind is horrible and all spaces is gravel and dirt up there. Besides she may rent out your spot. The place is 3/4 empty besides that. read more

Stayed here as I was passing through for one night. Place was very nice, quiet and relaxing. Great place to walk the dogs. Nice hot showers in the clubhouse. Great views. Free wifi worked great. If I had more time I would've stayed longer. read more

This is a great RV park for your stay. It's kept very clean throughout the park and the facilities are so clean as well. The staff is wonderful and exceptionally friendly. The spaces are extra big with plenty of room. They are also very helpful in advising you about restaurants, shopping, and pet care in the community. We will make this our winter stop again for sure. read more

First, let me say we learned the hard way that we are not the demographic this park is built for, but we learned that the hard way. We booked our trip with a member of the staff nearly two months in advance, explaining we were a family with 5 kids and a dog coming down for a long weekend to attend a soccer tournament for our teenaged daughter. No problems at this point. We arrived, were warmly greeted and checked in, discussing our family of 5 kids and the dog once again and being here for a tournament. No problem. We were led to our site and the staff were very helpful to get us situated. We got all set up, made dinner and within roughly an hour, the manager showed up to let us know he had already had 6 calls that we were being too noisy. I looked at my watch and it was 6:30 pm, so I asked him what quiet hours were...he dodged my question, still intent on letting us in on a couple other complaints he had, such as my dog corded outside (mind you I was out there with 3 of my children) and I had just sent my 8 year old son with a bag of trash to take to the dumpster and the manager thought he was going to stuff it in the dog waste receptacle. I counted at least 3 sites with make-shift dog pens with dogs in them, but no owners in site. I assured him my son was looking for the dumpster, my dog was with me and again asked what quiet time hours were. He conceded 10pm to 7am, but quickly added this isn't that 'type' of park. I went into our trailer to discover my 8 year old and wife crying at how we had just been mistreated. WE WERE LEAVING!!! I called the manager a short 15 minutes later and asked him to meet me at the clubhouse for a discussion. Despite feeling like we had been grossly mistreated as paying customers, we kept our cool and kindly explained we had a mismatch situation on our hands - he knew it and we definitely knew it! He told us we should have seen the 'clues' on the website for the type of place we were staying. We didn't say this, but they should have seen the 'clues' when we told them we had 5 children and a dog. In the end, he was willing to refund our money and even offered to help us find a new place. He didn't know this, but we had already found another place and booked it. We were leaving whether he had given us our money back or not. In the end, if you're a family traveling through and have children that make no noise, this might be a place for you, but don't make any noise. It's really a beautiful park and I really believe the management was acting as a result of the type of insensitive and arrogant clientele that was staying near our trailer, but we still didn't deserve to be treated as we were. I would expect a little or even a lot more professionalism out of a management that has supposedly been doing this for over a quarter century. read more

Nothing but good things to say about the Solstice Resort. From booking our reservation to showing up on site everything was great. The host onsite truly knows hospitality, friendly and just a down to earth person. If you read the history on the resort it fell on some hard times during the economic downturn. Only a portion of the park has been built out. The spaces are huge, very level, and all hook ups worked great. The only thing missing is a picnic table at each spot. The Wi-Fi wow strong signal, and very fast. From what the host advised that the park is now under new ownership and some changes are coming in the near future, as in building out phase two, and hopefully adding a pool and spa. I would defiantly stay at this park again. read more

We came to this resort perched on a hill surrounded by beautiful mountains and the city, thinking that we would have a city view on the outside as promised eight months ago. This place was recommended by friends. Not only did we not get the space that was confirmed but a very unhappy "manager" told us that this just happens at RV resorts. Spaces cannot be promised. We found out tonight that ownership has changed and it appears that the ownership has affected customer service and any reservations made previously. read more

Kids not welcome here! Trying to visit my the grandparents in mesquite for one night and then continue to Nat Parks. I call to check availability. After collecting all sorts of information on our RV, once she learned we had three kids, she begins to tell me that there are no kids at this resort. I said we will only be there one night and just need place to park and sleep. The woman continues to tell me about other places for kids. I reply we don't need a place to accommodate kids: just to park and sleep. Then she tells me the retirees will not be happy if they hear any noise. Ok so why don't you put this information up front instead of wasting my time. Maybe answer phone, "Solstice RV Resort, we don't want kids here, how can I help you?" read more

This is a new "Motorcoach" Resort that primarily caters to Class A RV's and nicer 5th wheels. It is in a very picturesque location, on top of a hill overlooking the City of Mesquite, NV which is about 30 minutes from St. George and an hour from Vegas. The views from the resort are spectacular and it is a different experience than a lot of the RV parks we have stayed at where we always were staring at the back of another rig. We thought pricing was reasonable and they have a cool complimentary laundry with the high end upright washers and dryers. We golfed while we were in town at a great golf course and then went up to Zion National Park. This place is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something a little more refined than the RV lots behind the casinos. read more

This is Mesquite's hidden treasure, a lovely campground built on a bluff overlooking the town and featuring panoramic views of the desert and surrounding hills. Everything is first-rate, including the best cable TV we've seen in a long time, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We wanted a nice quiet place to rest and be on our way, and this campground certainly filled the bill. Only drawback is that without a toad you will find it inconvenient to get into town. read more

Is it prefect well no but nothing is. One thing there is no argument about, there's nothing better anywhere within a reasonable distance. We need to be around St George for a couple of months but there was nothing available until the middle of this month which is lucky for us because this place is much better then anything there, we aren't leaving. read more

My husband and I were traveling back to southern California from Moab Utah and wanted somewhere close to Vegas to stay but not in Vegas. Mesquite is about 85 miles north of Vegas so it is still about an hour and a half away. We found Solstice Motorcoach Resort on the internet and read the current review from Rich S., August 2, 2018, and decided we would stay here based on his review. We made the reservation via the telephone as it was the same day. The lady who helped me was very polite and helpful. We arrived around 2 in the afternoon and were surprised by how few coaches were there. The resort is up out of the way of the town yet easily accessed by the freeway. The property had at one time been a promising deluxe resort but with the 2008 recession any future building stopped. Having said that, this place has great views, extremely large lots and I would highly recommend this property for your RV stay. Very close to a Walmart and other stores that might be needed. We will definitely return. read more
