This review is for the casino part only, as we did not stay in their hotel. We stopped at Eureka in Mesquite to rest from driving and walk around for a couple of minutes before completing our road trip back home to Las Vegas from Utah. I know nothing about Mesquite, but my best friend's grandparents live here. I'm going to be completely honest and straightforward here, I liked Eureka MUCH better than Casablanca, where we stopped at heading towards Utah. Compared to Casablanca, Eureka looks a lot newer and they have a lot more options and stuff to do. I had read after our trip that Eureka had gone under renovations about two years ago and they plan to build more retail stuff around it in the future. They have endless slot machines inside and they have a pretty big sportsbook, although I've seen bigger before. I did consider playing one of the slot machines since I had cash on me, but I didn't go for it. Being a Vegas local that has been inside so many casinos, I don't gamble or play slot machines all that much. Going forward, if we ever take another road trip to Utah, Eureka will be our permanent stop. read more

My friend & I were in Mesquite last week for the Hot Air Balloon festival & stayed at a hotel next door. You can see this casino from there & I wanted to check it out. We headed over on a Saturday night around 9pm. The casino was hopping with lots of people hanging out inside gambling. I did find two of my favorite machines & had to hit them up. One was Lobstermania & I got to play for awhile on it but didn't walk away with any money. The machine was buy some doors into the casino & we got hit with a cold breeze every time the door was opened. We then ventured to the center bar for some drinks & to play video poker & keno. Bartenders were nice. Next I hit up another favorite game of mine, a devil game. Then I hit up the Black Jack table for some fun, it was hot for awhile then it wasn't. Then we hit up the electronic craps game because the craps table was full. I'm new to craps but my friend knows how to play it so he was helping me. We spent a lot of time there & the cocktail waitresses were very attentive. The ladies bathroom wall tile is very pretty. The casino was clean, didn't stink of cigarette smoke & looked new. Parking is great. Food is pretty good. Bartenders are great. Machines are fun. The only real downside is the smell. The scent they pump in can be smelled in the parking lot. If you step in the casino for more than a few minutes, you'll stink for the rest of the day. It's potent and terrible. I hopped with the remodel they would update the smell, but it's only gotten worse over the last few months. read more

This casino is a bit on the small side but is nice and clean. They have an adequate amount of slots and table games. Cocktail service is a bit slow. Ambiance is a tad quiet and sometimes welcoming, depending on time and day visited. Not a bad stop as you're passing through but I wouldn't come out of my way to come here. read more

A busy resort with an outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Super friendly front-desk workers that greet me good-bye and welcome-back. Casino has super friendly bartenders and pretty large comped drinks and beers. Lots of cinnamon jacket security guards patrolling all of the grounds, love it. I feel extra relaxed here because although it was busy enough, it didn't feel like I had to watch my machine or chair. The patrons were golfers, locals or some tourists, like me. Their diner has a wide range of dishes with friendly host workers and efficient servers. Their kitchen was quite quick with the meals, too. read more

Beware using the betting kiosk at the sports book! I used the betting kiosk to place $260 worth of bets on the Masters. I touched the "Masters" tab, surveyed the odds and placed my bets. When I got home, I was surprised to see that all of my bets were for "First round leader." I tried calling but the person I spoke with refused to let me speak with anyone at the sports book. Took another trip through the gorge and went back to the kiosk. I was shocked to see that the default menu is for "first round leader" and if you want to change to a straight bet, it's a tiny tab in the upper left corner. Why is "first round leader" the default menu? The sympathetic employee stated he couldn't void my tickets if I got them from the kiosk. (Why???) He also said it happens often and even the employees mistakingly hit the wrong bets. He agreed that it was unusual. So, because we still wanted to bet on the Masters, I went to the ATM, pulled out another $300 and bet another $260. Ahhhh....NOW I see why they won't change the default menu! Ridiculous. We wanted to try Eureka because Virgin River and Casablanca quit giving points for sports bets. Eureka doesn't either but we thought we'd give them a try and hoped they would be our new "go to" casino. One and done. read more

This might be a weird review in that I don't gamble and I don't golf. I mostly just picked this as it seemed like a well reviewed and reasonably priced place to stay on a road trip that set me up for a ~5 1/2 hour drive to Los Angeles the next day. Parking was easy, and the staff at the front desk were great. Checking in was easy and quick. The room was fine - bed was quite comfortable, WiFi worked great. Maybe the nicest mini-fridge I've ever seen in a room. The only real downside there was the couple of bottles of water that had labels on them saying you'd get charged $4 if you had any. The casino is in a separate building from the hotel which, to be honest, I preferred. I ended up heading over there to grab a bite to eat. It was, as one might expect, kinda full of cigarette smoke and the sound of slot machines. There's a steak house kinda place but I noticed part of their dress code was no team shirts. I wasn't wearing one of those but assumed my Slayer shirt would probably not pass muster, so I didn't try that. I went to the sportsbook/sports bar area, but the only employee I could find was taking bets, and eventually felt like there was no way to actually get food. Too bad, I kinda wanted to try the smashburger. Ended up at "Mason Street Courtyard." Took my only gamble and ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I am happy to say this paid off - while I wouldn't call it authentic, I did think it was really quite tasty. It's a pretty good place to stay. Not amazing, but really good value, room is clean and comfortable, I would definitely use this as a waypoint again. read more

Some of the best value you'll find out in Mesquite and it stands up pretty well to most Vegas casinos. Great variety of machines with good pay tables and every denomination from 5c to a dollar or more. There is a lot of progressives on the floor and many unique variants of video poker. As far as table games are concerned there is a good variety at very low limits including craps at $5 and my personal favorite high card flush at a $5 minimum as well which is virtually unheard of in Vegas. Service was very good cocktail waitresses are always around and the dealers are friendly. On top of that they have a pretty generous players club and welcome offers. Overall would recommend and will visit again. read more

Nice hotel and newer/well maintained rooms than Casablanca. Great staff. Value for money. Facilities are ok and ample parking. Only drawback was the restaurants and casino are not connected to the hotel so you will have to walk at least 200 yards across the road to eat and play. read more

I stopped here for about an hour on my way home to the L.A. area from Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a cool casino. It's big with lots of slot machines. It's clean and quiet. I even came here on a Saturday and couldn't believe how quiet it was. I would love to visit this casino again. :) read more

The Eureka Casino is in my opinion is the best casino in Mesquite, Nevada. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the entire staff is very friendly. Stayed at Eureka for one night during Mesquites balloon festival event. The hotel and casino are in two separate buildings. Just across from each other. Which I did like, so upon entering the lobby of the hotel. You aren't greeted with the stench of cigarette smoke. Eateries are in the casino area, but we did notice that they had some Cinnabon desserts you could purchase at the lobby of the hotel. The room we had was spacious with two queen size beds. Room was clean. They had a coffee machine and a mini fridge. Which is convenient if you want to store your food and beverages. I love how they have a small courtyard with some lounge chairs and ping pong tables. Their pool was heated when we stayed there. Which was nice especially if you have little kids with you. read more

So this was our last stop on my wife's first vacation alone, 2 days in NM (Hilton), 3 days Las Vegas (Luxor) and 1 day here to break up the drive home. And honestly this was the best stay of it all!! Nice big King size bed, coffee in the room, pool was open until 11 with 2 hot tubs and a court yard, the Casino was across the parking lot but they had available a oversize golf cart that they would take and pick you up to the casino if you wanted. And truth be told everything about it was so calm and relaxing staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests and even told us the best place to get a steak of the 3 restaurants in the casino. It's only 1 hour from Vegas and we both decided that if we're to go back to Vegas that we would stay here and just drive into Vegas that's how much we enjoyed it Definitely recommend this establishment even though there are other choices within the area and we have been to 2 of them this in our opinion is the only choice!! read more

A LOT of people throw huge money into slot machines. Not me! I take a twenty, turn it into five's and play 5 dollar bills in penny machines. I can't win progressive jackpots but I don't play for those because the odds are really not good. I find that playing 5 lines instead of 25 covers the important lines while saving major money per rip. I played max coins per line, 5 lines, 5 coins per line for a total of 25 cents per rip and won $250 on my second five!!! Five stars! Yay! Needless to say that my cheap a$$ cashed in, played a couple more 5's and went back to our Utah vacation 45 minutes from here! Wow! What fun! Was not over crowded, only a couple of questionable characters but over all a nice place. I would come here again, maybe even regularly but this is a one off trip so it is what it is. Not impressed. For years I've been staying at the Casa Blanca but unfortunately it was booked solid. No room for yours truly. Eureka was next in line to get my business, cause there's no way in hell I'd stay at the Virgin River. That place is worse than a Motel 6. I consider it the projects of Mesquite. It should have been imploded years ago. So I check into Eureka. The counter girl was very nice. She asked if I've ever stayed with them before. No was my answer, but if I like this place, you'll get my business from now on. In our conversation I mentioned that I travel this way quite often. So naively thinking I was sure she would put me in a nice room. W R O N G !! I get to my room on the second floor, #239, and find that it's right next to the fitness room. Oh man! To top it off, there was a constant stream of guys going in and out. There's like a thousand golf courses in this town and these guys were I guess warming up for their game. I figured that I'd turn on the TV to drown out the noise. W R O N G !! I couldn't figure out how to turn the f@#$en TV on! There was a thing explaining how to do it, but for the life of me I couldn't get it to work. Where are the days when you just had to push a button? If you have to give instructions on how to turn the damn thing on, then something ain't right. In the process of the rocket science, I came across a plastic bag that had a pillowcase in it. For $5.00 you can put it on your pillow. The sticker on the bag stated that the housekeeper will remove it and it'll be recycled. HUH? For one, there are two beds in the room and four pillows, and what in the hell am I sleeping on where I'd need to replace the pillowcase for the 5 buck one? It's got me scratching my head. Am I missing something? I just want to watch some mindless TV and get some sleep. Eureka you're making it way too complicated to do either. I guess that I could go down to the casino for some entertainment. Oh wait, it's not that easy. The casino is a couple football fields across the parking lot from the hotel. Who designed this place? It's bizzaro world here. I mean, you can't make this shit up. Quick Tip: I have no idea who designed this place, but apparently it's 100% employee owned. My advice to the employees, sell your shares and find a new job. I hear that Casa Blanca is hiring. read more

The paybacks are becoming less than Vegas casinos. The food in the cafe subpar and the hotel prices increased year over year by 7% whereas Vegas hotels decreased by 10%. I got kicked out for "not showering" when I was literally at Katherins "the nicest restaurant in this town with a bill of over 1k before tips and I was just fine there "showered before dinner " literally 2 hours before I even made it to the casino for what seems to be "winning too much money " because I was up $659after being there for an hour as a 22 year old and they didn't like it they told me I needed to leave and I was escorted out and when I asked why multiple times they told me "we don't have to and will not give you an explanation " worst experience at a casino in my life and I have been to 30+ casinos and by far will never visit this place again and will never recommend this place to anyone in my life. We've stayed here before but this stay was really nice. The staff was great. The ladies who cleaned our room were great. Overall we had a good time. My only gripe is the casino. The food is just not up to pay and I feel like I almost died due to the amount of smoke that is there. By the end of the night my eyes were on fire and I could barely breathe. I wish there were a better filtration system in place. Some places were better than others due to the air conditioning but overall it's not good. read more

Wished the Casino Employees more Friendlier and would have been nice if I would have been acknowledged by Cocktail server. Had to go to the gift shop to purchase Water. I am in the Casino industry and I can't imagine not greeting or making sure Patrons don't need something. Being In the Industry I and many others I know tip $5 for a water or drink. I hope this will be pasted on to the Employees to always acknowledge Patrons & to take care of them whether they tip or not. Because the ones who tip well always out weigh the none tippers. We love this resort & casino! We have visited Mesquite twice now & both times stayed at the Eureka. We didn't want to go all the way out to Vegas so Mesquite it was. I love that it's generally on the quiet side, not crowded, feels safe and is clean & fun! We first stayed here because the other hotel we wanted to go to was not available. I was looking for a good pool mostly, and they had it! I love their pool area! The people here are just so friendly too. The pool was clean & had plenty of seating and a few cabanas! We enjoyed our time there! We also were grateful our second time around coming to celebrate 10 years together & my 40th birthday. We were provided an upgrade from the director and the suite we were in had an amazing jet tub that I can't get over! I loved it! The beds are clean & comfortable and the hotel is conveniently located near many food places and shops, near by is also a large liquor market and a super nice Walmart. Honestly, I know it's not the top hotel ever, but the service, atmosphere and everything we needed and more was there. Thank you Eureka Fam for taking care of us! Til we return! This Mother's Day weekend my husband took me on a mini vacation for the weekend. We live in vegas and had talked about going outside of vegas and just having fun plus we had tickets to the lights festival which was amazing!! The hotel to our surprise was across the way from the casino which was something new and we weren't sure about it but turned out great! The place was clean, the staff was very nice and greeted us when we walked in, everyone seemed to be in a pleasant mood compare when u go to the strip. My husband booked us a suite which we have never booked before. The suite was clean, very nice, and well stalked up. My only complaint about the suite is 2 things...1) we had a king size bed with a queen size sheet on it or it's just not meant for that size bed the sheet kept coming off the mattress. 2) while watching tv I spilled a little bit of salsa on the fitted sheet of the bed the next day I put the sign on the door knob to have the room cleaned and before we left I had removed the sheets so she can see it and had the sheets changed, later that night when we got back to the hotel room and got ready to go bed I noticed the cleaning lady just made the bed and didn't changed the sheets. Which then brings me to if she doesn't change the sheets when there's something on it does she change the towels on the floor? Does she change the pillow cases after each stay? I'm just generally curious. But over all our stay was good just not sure if we would return! Below is the 2 picture of what I'm talking about. Other than those 2 things I would recommend this hotel but you may come across the same issue but not sure. read more

Review for restaurants only. Advertise deals on its menu, but you have to be a good member. Got the card, but not "gold" enough. Ordered their burgers. Tasted cheap. Almost forgot to mention, this casino had the worst smoking smell. Don't think I will stop here to go to or coming from Utah. read more

Not really sure how to rate this place. I stayed at their hotel, played in their casino and ate at their restaurant. The room was clean but basic. Strange TV set up, it's hooked into a DVD box and there's no real volume control, yeah, strange right? They didn't spend too much on the TV, it's really small. Water pressure was good, furnace was quite and efficient. The Casino was good, plenty of games both table and slots. Slots were looser then I had thought they would be. Drinks were plentiful as well. The food, went to the casino cafe, it was very bland. Had dinner and lunch, both essentially but food in your belly but that was about it. I wouldn't take your date there attempting to impress them. Would I stay there again? Likely not, it's overpriced for what you get. Would I game there? Sure it was alright for that. Would I eat there? It won't kill you, but if taste is a priority, go somewhere else. read more
