First of all, this place is beautiful no doubt. I had my wedding here this last summer and I'm not really the kind of person to tear anyone down but do feel like my experience needs to be shared with others about this venue. - The day of our wedding the fridge was not working and sadly our wedding was in July so our wedding cake practically was toppling over. No one warned us or apologized about this. - There were mice running around in the kitchen where we were told we could prep our food (We took pictures). The owner scoffed a little at my mother in law when she pointed it out to him and said it was bound to happen since they're out in the country. Our family also lives out in the country and pay every year to have people check for rodents/insects. It's 100% possible to prevent something like that. -The men's shower was not working and we were not told this either so we got to find this out on the day of our wedding. Which again was in July. Luckily the women's shower worked so we were all able to take turns and cram in there. -We were given a coordinator but she did not show up the day of our wedding. We were given a different person, who was extremely nice. However, because the coordinator that was suppose to show up didn't come, our chairs weren't put in the ceremony area. Sounds like a small thing, but it was something that took our bridal party and my grandparents/parents hours to do. Wish we could've got a heads up on something like this. The owner told us we could pay him extra money to have someone help us but we were already a little frustrated to show up and see that, since it was something my husband and I had asked her and the business that delivered them to make sure of. -Our rehearsal was very awkward in terms of us not knowing what to do. We scheduled a day to show up and showed up on time. However, our coordinator was no where to be seen. We walked into the building looking for her and found her in the middle of a whole other meeting she had scheduled. We weren't upset just a little confused. However, she seemed a little irritated at us for interrupting her meeting with someone else. We were a little confused as to why she scheduled someone over our appointment. Apparently it was a friend of hers who was curious about the venue. She told us at the end that we were suppose to just help ourselves and do it all without her. During this rehearsal the coordinator got upset with my aunt and mother in law for looking at the fridge since it was interrupting her meeting as well. I felt like it would have been nice to have her there for any questions on set up since that's why I assumed she was there. But I guess that is not exactly how they run things. Overall we encountered a lot of very unprofessional behavior and stresses that we really wish we didn't have to have on our wedding day. Like I mentioned, this place is beautiful and our wedding was great. However, if I had the opportunity to know all these things prior to booking this venue, I most likely would have gone elsewhere. read more

My husband and I were married here in 2018. We decided not to write a review due to our occupations but decided people need to know what kind of people run this place now. We chose this place because of the pool access and overnight amenities in addition to the stunning property. We booked a year and a half before our wedding date giving us plenty of time to plan. About six months before our wedding we were informed the owner was selling to the people who owned The Curb (a local restaurant off meridian road). We were put in contact with the new owners and were asked to review our contract because the new owners were not going to offer the over night stay any more. They offered buying us a hotel room 10 miles down the road but we were really set on spending the night there and not interested in getting into a cab the night of our wedding. They asked us to reconsider the caterer we had booked over a year ago and use The Curb which we declined. They also asked us to pay an additional amount to have someone onsite to coordinate (even though the original agreement with the previous owner included that). During the reception the owner himself showed up. He approached my husband, who was away from the crowd smoking a celebratory cigar, and told him no smoking and asked him to put his cigar out. Then, a couple hours later, I saw him standing by the hot tub right in the middle of the party smoking a cigar! I also saw him help himself to a large plate of our food. The owners son made an appearance and approached me during the reception asking "where's my dad". My husband and I both saw him wander through the crowd asking our guests if they had seen his dad. The owner then picked me out of the crowd asking "who was in charge" and "you need to get these people out of the pool". Without giving me time to respond he rushed over to the pool and ushered everyone out (even though we signed a waiver to use the pool). As the party died down, from about 10pm-midnight, the owner Informed us we needed to have all of our food and beverages out of the fridge by midnight (we were planning on eating after the party because neither of us really got to eat). He then awkwardly hung out "supervising" us and our small group of about 10 people who were hanging out after the party. He then retired into a room on sight and gave us a curfew for when we needed to be in our room as well. I feel like because we had already paid for the venue in full to the previous owner the new owners made every attempt to try and make an extra buck off of us and when we declined their advances they made it difficult for us. A good friend of mine was married there a week before us and had several issues like: no sound to the alter. They walked down the isle with no music. No access to any ladders for decorating or extension chords. Then to top it all off, they left the bed sheet less with no blankets or pillows. Thankfully he informed me of this and I was able to ask for that stuff before our big day. The venue is dreamy. It truly is a beautiful piece of property. This Venue is stunning!!!! Our wedding was simply beautiful. The owners are so delightful, and very helpful. We stayed at their bed and breakfast the night of our Wedding. If we could change anything about our wedding there, it would be that we wouldn't have stayed the night at the venue, mainly because it was a bit loud that evening, as things were being taken down, and the next morning was full of hustle and bustle, as the Venue was hosting another wedding that next day. We felt a bit rushed and we really wish we would have just gotten a hotel for a truly secluded evening and morning. That being said, the Venue is an absolute dream.. read more

Don't use this venue! When I first saw the venue I fell in love with it and knew I wanted to get married there. The owner Kathy was wonderful .. I put a deposit down and when I went back to pay the whole remaining balance (months before it was due) I was surprised when the lady there told me she was the new owner... and that is when everything changed. I couldn't believe they hadn't told us anything about the change of ownership. The new owner said she would still honor my contract...that turned out to be bullsh#t. I couldn't ever get them to call me back anytime I called or left messages. I literally had to send emails for them to call me back.. 3-4 days later. The owner called me 1 weeks before the wedding to tell me she wasn't going to be able to provide the black linens I wanted and were promised and then told me "well you could just go rent some or buy them". We paid $3500 for this venue and they couldn't even get me what was promised not to mention it was 2 weeks before the wedding as if I wasn't stressed enough. Then the owner sends me a map to look over and approve. I explained to her that the photobooth wasn't on the map. She told me" don't worry I know where it goes". Everything Her and I talked about she assured me that her other 2 employees would also know. The day of our wedding we get there to set up and the lines were wrinkled and looking like they were balled up and thrown in a box. There were a couple stains on the white lines as well. I called the employee over and asked her why the lines looked so wrinkled and stained. She said "well that's the way it is" I said excuse me we have paid a good amount of $ to have our wedding look nice and all you have to say is well that's the way it is? She said ya well there is nothing I can do. Plus this is our wedding and your employee is in workout clothes for a wedding? Then I asked her where the lines were for the table where the bottles water was going and the lines for the ceremony table . She said lines don't go on those tables. I said the dusty patio table and faded table that we are going to use for our sand unity? She said yes lines don't go on those. I said that the owner assured me there would be lines on them because I specifically asked for them. I could not believe it was my wedding day and this worthless person that was supposed to help us was just arguing with me. Then she said she'll have to charge me extra for those lines. She was so disrespectful! The photobooth got there and the photobooth employee asked where the extension cord was . I had my bridesmaid asked the venue Employee and she rudely responded that the photobooth wasn't on the map. WTF I told the owner about this weeks ago. They had terrible communication and even worse customer service. I was very very disappointed with the venues employees and new owner. She was so fake and didn't care to do what she promised. I do not recommend this venue because no one should have to go through this on their wedding day! Your wedding day should be filled with happiness not arguing with a disrespectful Employee. read more
