Must-stop for any trip to Sandusky. My group ordered the Chicken & Waffles, Buckeye Pancakes, and Perch & Eggs. Every one of us were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was (based on experiences at other establishments during our trip). Our waitress & the staff overall were very friendly & inviting! Also, the establishment is decorated sooo cute it's like a cozy farmhouse. I also loved the bakery style front & wanted to grab something to go, but I was just so full! I wish I could ship food from this restaurant to my home 2,000 miles away- it's THAT good. Another great visit! Sandusky is in full Cedar Park season but our wait was still only 30 minutes for a 4 top! Food was as exceptional as it always is! Drinks to boot! While you wait, they had sidewalk chalk for the kids, though the kids needed reminded that the elderly need the sidewalks to get to the door :-). Like any places that is full, the noise level was a little loud to carry on conversations with our elderly mother who talks very softly but that is not the restaurant's fault, just a notice that if you have soft speaking friends, hold the conversations for after you eat lol. My experience here was just okay, I'm not sure if I didn't order the right things. The turkey sausage had absolutely no taste or flavor. The texture seemed fake. The only thing I like was the yellow Yukon breakfast potatoes. The pancake was dry. The eggs were okay. It wasn't worth the hour and half drive. This place is a hidden gem in Sandusky. We came here for breakfast a little later on the day on Sunday. No wait but the restaurant was pretty full. It has plenty of parking and is very cutely decorated. Bathrooms are clean. Food was amazing. Our whole party got various drinks, and they have a wide selection of combos. Bloody Mary was highlight along with their coffee. All of our food was delicious. The quinoa was super good and interesting almost sweet. Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. Solid 4 stars. I really appreciated the fact that the menu had a list of local business where they got ingredients. There was a lot of local crossover, which was exciting. I had the buttermilk stack with sausage links and a blueberry pancake margarita. I feel like I won the drink choice competition (that my friends didn't even know we were in). On our weekend trip to see friends at go to Cedar Point, we made a stop at this very fun and delicious spot. We'd absolutely come back again. We tried the pancakes (of course), steak and eggs, turkey sausage, home fries, sourdough toast, and omelettes among the four of us. We also enjoyed French press coffee, the blueberry pancake margarita, a blackberry mimosa, and a yummy coffee drink with bourbon that had a cute, long name I don't remember. Our server Adrianna was very attentive and helpful, and even gave us great tips on parking and rides at Cedar Point. We really love the way their menu highlights other local businesses. Heard nothing but good reviews about this place so decided to check it out before leaving town. The wait was 1.5 hrs and it really did take that long. We had a big party and said first available table we'll take. While we waited we were able to be outside and enjoy corn hole, a frisbee game as well as play with chalk. They also have a coffee cart outside to enjoy while waiting. Finally got seated and we ended up being split between two tables and a booth, but that was fine. It was worth the wait! Everyone loved their food. The kids ate everything up. All the food was cooked to perfection, even the bacon was nice and crispy, not half cooked like other places. A couple people ordered the cinnamon swirl cakes and they were not overly sweet, just enough and I'd get them next time. My chicken biscuit bowl could've had more chicken, but it was filling! I tried to eat the whole thing but it's a lot. Others ordered the burger with the waffles for the buns and flavorful and perfect pairings. I had a fabulous experience at Sandusky Bay Pancake House for breakfast. The menu is HUGE and with it being so large it is a bit overwhelming however you are going to find multiple things that you want to try/order which is awesome. The place is so cutely decorated, and the staff is very friendly. We went on a Sunday morning and it was very packed. Outside they had a small cart offering their specialty coffees and tons of people ordered while they were waiting for their table. This was a nice addition and helped ease our wait. Just know they do not take reservations even with large parties as we were but they handled our large amount with ease and got us in as quickly as they could. All the food was really good and fresh. They use locally sourced products, and you can definitely tell by the quality. All of the meats were really good from the ham to the sausage to the corned beef. It all was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The pancakes were SO good and buttery. I am not a big pancake eater but these were awesome! The star of the show is definitely the cooker biscuits! If you do not get them with your meal definitely be sure to order them as a side. You do not want to miss out on them. I wish they offered a homemade jam rather than the packets on the table but nonetheless everything was amazing. They also offered lots of specialty options from peach cobbler French toast, to tons of different eggs benedicts and fun options. If you have not been in here, you definitely have got to check it out. The value is good for the amount of food you get, especially with them using places that are local. As with most things these days, the price does not reflect the offering. The food is definitely good but just not worth the price. A small omelet with barely a handful of potatoes, a kids chocolate milk and two pancakes with a piece of bacon was $27. The service was very good but I will point out that the hostess needs some training in how to greet people. No words were spoken and the overall attitude was emotionless. Met up with a friend for brunch. we both used to work at Cedar Point years ago and Sandusky is a good middle point for us. We waited about 10 minutes which wasn't bad. Sat around 11:10am. Lots of people waiting but they sat our party of two at a booth big enough for 4-6. Food was fine. I ordered an omelette. Had to pay $3 for toast which is nuts for my $16 omelette. The "toast" I got was griddled bread, not toast. Big disappointment. After we cashed out we were chatting. Not even 12:10 and I assume a manager comes up to ask how everything was and informs us there's an hour and 15 minute limit for tables. We weren't there yet but better get moving soon. When we left we passed several empty tables and saw one family in the waiting area. Real odd behavior for a place to be honest. Wouldn't go back thanks to that. Stopped in today before a long drive home from Cedar Point. Was quoted a wait time of 20-25 minutes, which I didn't think was bad for a busy Sunday. It turned out to only be about 15 minutes, which was great! Three of the 4 of us got fancy coffees, one Samoa, one S'mores, and one White Chocolate Mocha. We were all very happy with our drinks! I had the chicken and waffles, I did ask for the BBQ maple syrup on the side since I was unsure if I would like it....i wound up asking for more as it was incredible. My husband had overnight oats and S'mores French toast. He enjoyed both. My best friend had the blueberry muffin top pancakes, and they were delicious. Our 4th got Veggie hash or Vegetable hash- I don't remember the exact name, he really enjoyed that. So all of us were very pleased with our choices for brunch. The place itself was cute, clean and welcoming. As I mentioned before it was crowded. It was kind of loud, but there were a lot of people, so the noise level was about what would be expected. Just wanted to share my thoughts on our brunch spot today! It was absolutely buzzing super busy, which says something, right? We probably saw a ton of people coming from the Wolfe Lodge next door. The drinks were a mixed bag. The iced chai latte and caramel macchiato were both delicious, though the macchiato was a little pricey. The screwdriver tasted mostly like orange juice, which was a bit of a letdown. And the chocolate milk? More like watered-down Yoo-hoo not great. Food wise, it was hit and miss. The country fried steak was a winner, and we really enjoyed the banana pudding pancakes, even though they were a bit thin and dry. The buckwheat crepes were pretty good, especially with the bananas and strawberries. The overnight oats were a standout totally delicious! The bubbarock steak and eggs were also fantastic, and the strawberry pancakes were better than the banana pudding ones. The one major downside was the service. It was slow, slow, slow!
