Turkey Club & the famous Berardi's French Fries
    Arch G.

Our first visit to this restaurant was because we learned that this was the family that was responsible for the French fries at Cedar Point during my childhood. My Dad would visit Cedar Point just to eat these French fries, and enjoy the Lake Erie views. The fries are as good as the originals, and the restaurant has great desserts to compensate for no Lake Erie views. My "go to" has become a turkey club, with French fries (obviously). The servings are always so generous I have to get my pie to go, and I usually leave with a slice of apple pie. Finally, the servers treat everyone like they're a regular, and most customers are.

I've been meaning to stop in here for a while, and I am so glad I did! There is a reason this restaurant has been around for forever. The people were so friendly and the food was delicious! I was able to order a small plate of spaghetti and a salad (which completely hit the spot) as part of their pick 2 type menu. There are so many homestyle options on the menu. I also tried their season strawberry pie which was DELICIOUS! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a simple diner. Nothing flashy or anything, but very comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back in the future!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stoped in for breakfast on a Thursday morning. They were busy with locals coming in and you could see they knew the staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server was excellent in checking back and making sure my coffee cup was filled. My order came as I requested and even my toast was well done as I had asked. Been awhile since my restaurant experience hit on all cylinders and five stars were given.

This place was fantastic!! Haley was our server and she did such a wonderful job. She gave fantastic recommendations and was on the spot with answers to any questions we had. Everything we ordered was amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it' was the sweetest mom and pop place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I was a local I would be a regular! Their apple caramel pie was amazing as well.

Spectacular give me 14 of everything right now. FABULOUS, Fabulous. Artichoke dip goes nuts, pita is craveable beyond belief with the garlicky flavor it has. Fried Alfredo ain't to be overlooked! Perhaps wi Wicked deal, by the way if you're vacationing here. My in-laws wouldn't shut up about how happy they were here. The options are vast and cover every palette, with flawless execution. We have the pickiest eaters in my group and I can't find a single complaint. Support this place. Good god, I'd be so sad if it closed after seeing what they have to offer.

So this is the famous Cedar Point fries place. Get the half order to share, feeds at least 3. The sides are the thing here; fried fettuccine Alfredo, creamed jalapeño corn are delicious. It may look busy on the outside but don't worry they can accommodate many this place is huge. Service is okay they are busy. Expect a wait for food. Plan at least an hour and more visit. The Philly Cheesesteak was fine but way too much cheese on an untoasted bun. Salad was huge but blah. I will be back but have a table full of sides.

We tried the fries bc we were here and they are famous - very good!! I had the Mile High Quiche - it was the best quiche I have ever had. (I forgot the pic) Hubs had the bourbon pecan pancakes - very good too!! Service was good! Ambiance - diner feeling but nice!!

Visited Berardi's for some takeout before a nearby football game. Hint: during high school football season (especially Friday nights), do not attempt to park in Berardi's lot and walk over to the football stadium. Fair warning, your car will be towed. I called ahead and requested a chicken parm sammy with Berardi's fries. When I arrived my food wasn't ready, but it was ready within five minutes. The hostess was friendly. As I waited, I could see the I scoped the place out. It felt like a diner with some delicious menu choices. It made me miss having a diner near home. Where I live, there are no great diners nearby. What a shame! My chicken parm sammich was hot and delicious. The chicken had a nice crispy batter and the cheese and sauce were very tasty. It didn't fall apart of drip all over the place either while I ate it in my car. The Berardi's fries were really good. They were thick cut. I used some ketchup on them, which I don't normally do, but it made the fries a little better because they were so thick. If I'm ever in the area again, this is where I'm eating.

My family and I decided to stop in here on a Sunday for breakfast with a party of 11. To start when you walk in you're greeted by a friendly hostess who had a fun vibe. We quickly told her we had a party of 11 and it took her a bit but she pulled some tables together and sat our party. After some looking we ordered a spread of food. All the way from biscuits and gravy, omelets, pancakes and French toast. Took a little bit but our food came out and came out together. Which is a feat if you know how most restaurants work. However before we dive into food.. I have to give TARA a HUGE shoutout. She is what made this a 4 start experience. She was amazing. Without her this might have been a 3 start rating. She was so on point the whole time, had an amazing attitude and was just a very pleasing person to talk to! They need to give this woman a raise. Finally onto the food. Our food came out and it was decent. The omelets were a bit of a strange texture. With cheese on top. They need to figure out how to make them fluffy. The biscuits and gravy was good! Biscuits were very fluffy. Pancakes we're good. Potatoes were good. To top it all off the pumpkin muffin with cream cheese topping was fantastic! Overall this place is decent and in comparison to some of the other places around it was good. If you're looking for a decent breakfast restaurant around here.. check this place out. We would come back!

Crazy the history of this restaurant!

No doubt over race weekend in Sandusky the best restaurant we found. Not only for carb loading Italian style but the desserts. OMG. The history of the restaurant goes backs years family started it and keep going from generation to the next. Miss restaurants like those not often see anymore. The menu has nice diversity. Most of it is basic Italian classics but just done right. The daily display of freshly baked goodies and desserts. It hard not get off mind before sit down. The first thing u see and all mouth watering hard choose couple take back air bnb. The chocolate chip cookies stood out plus perfect snack over the weekend. I heard someone call in asking if had any left. Hot seller and once item gone sold out for the day. I got cookies and muffin take back bnb. The food I got the Pecan French Toast. It was da bomb! French toast was golden brown, nice light batter, and pecans perfect balance sweetness and texture. Overall best way start carb loading before race day. Service no doubt five stars. Our waiter was amazing. She on top of it the whole time, friendly, all smiles, positive vibes, and fun chat about the area. Thank u. If ever end up in Sandusky, Ohio. U need bookmark this spot!!!

It's a mixed bag here. Excellent food for the most part and some unique takes on old favorites. Get some cedar point fries and a salad for sure! Sounds weird, but both items are delicious. The service was friendly, but not attentive. Be prepared to wait up to an hour for your food. The interior is somewhat cramped and off for being such a huge building. The fried mushrooms are also top notch and fresh. I would try the chicken tenders the next time. Or a different combination of 1/2 salad1/2 sandwich or soup pick two. Excellent value and we had to take food home with us. Give them a try and overlook a few miss steps.

My husband, who is extremely picky about meat quality, declared it the best burger he's ever had. Stuffed burgers are notoriously tricky to cook to a preferred well-done without drying out, but the kitchen nailed it! My only minor critique--and this is just personal preference as a bit of a seasoning buff--is the perch. The fish itself was amazingly fresh, which is the most important detail, but the fried batter was a little plain for my taste. I would've loved a kick of Old Bay or extra seasoning in the batter, similar to how amazingly seasoned the fries were! All in all, this spot is a great hidden gem in Sandusky. Highly recommend stopping in!

We waited 45 minutes to get a salad, it was a Caesar salad salad and they were already out of Romain dressing at 7 PM on a Friday night. We had a Caesar salad salad with spring mix instead... No big deal. The portions were huge, but our dinner came in an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down. It was painfully slow, I will say our waitress was apologetic and helpful. And I know that it was busy, but it's really no excuse for it to look so dirty. It only takes a minute to sweep under a table after a party leaves. The bathroom was deplorable, there was water on the floor and muddy footprints everywhere. The napkins on the ground around the tables along with discarded french fries and shrimp tails were a bit gross. The food is five star, the rest... ehhhhh

This is a super cool public market hall in downtown Sandusky with maybe 15ish (just a guess) local businesses like a bakery, bowling alley, axe throwing game space, ice cream shop and boutiques. This is a cool place to spend an hour or two just browsing and supporting local while grabbing some dessert. The building has some type of history to it which I was unable to readily find online (boo, that is so odd). But the history is paid homage in the design of this space, with old timey photos of Sandusky and Cedar Point blown up on the walls and little stories to accompany them. The design is actually brilliant. It's a cool mixture of old school heritage meets modern rustic vibes. It makes you want to stop and look. The businesses in this building are open during the pandemic, just make sure to check with each business directly before visiting as most of the hours are likely changed. I stopped by here extremely quickly (I do not go out much during the pandemic) to pick up some pre-paid birthday treats from Bake Erie.
