First time here. Wow! A visit to Sandwich Man Pizza Too is entering a space where time stands still. Amazing that this large place is located in a such a prime location on the corner of Atlantic and Congress... they must own the property? The time warp really kicks in when you step inside... a huge open space with formica tables and molded benches... nice enough and super clean, just odd for the area. The ordering area and signage, a blast from the past, reminding me of my canteen at summer camp as a kid. After seeing photos of the chow on Yelp, was dissapointed in my Egg and Cheese Sandwich. It tasted fine enough, but the egg/cheese was skimpy on a large roll. If I knew, would have ordered an extra egg or 2... oh well. If I'm in the area around lunchtime, I will stop by to try one of their subs or a BLT... they look great on Y. I want to love it here! read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while. I bookmarked it after reading a review from fellow yelp elite, Raymond K. In his review, he mentioned that they had the best BLT here. As this sandwich is a favorite of my husband's, I knew we would have to stop here some time. We were in the area around lunch time and decided to try them. The restaurant sits on a corner in a large separate building with its own parking lot. Inside, it's much bigger than I'd expected. There is an extensive menu painted on the wall. Plus, additional small signs of newer items or specials. You order and pay at the counter, and they call your name when your food is ready. There were quite a few choices of subs and sandwiches plus salads, soups, meals, and sides. It wasn't easy to make a selection as so many things sounded good. My husband wound up getting their BLT on a sub with mayo. There was a ton of crispy bacon on the sandwich along with the lettuce and tomato. I had a bite, and it was excellent! I got their white Russian which was a white meat turkey sub with lettuce and tomato, cheese, and thousand island dressing. The soft Italian bread along with the fillings were delicious. But it was so huge a portion, that I wound up saving half for another meal. This place is definitely a keeper! Thank you to Raymond for bringing it to our attention. Haven't been here in a few years knew I'd be in the area so I was looking forward to a great Philly cheesesteak took my daughter and my son-in-law two Philly cheesesteaks one hamburger two fries three drinks $68. I didn't mind that but I minded that the cheesesteaks were the most disgusting horrible thing that I ever ate total grease and gristle and chewy like a rubber band 3/4 of both were thrown away. My daughter and I tried. No one seemed to care they were getting ready to close and that we didn't have anybody to complain to so stay away from this place. The prices are $18 for a 12 inch cheesesteak disgusting disgusting son-in-law says the hamburger wasn't horrible but disgusting cheesesteaks and I did have them before which they were delicious. I travel out of my way to get a nice Italian bread, hero or sub as you stay in Florida and when I get home, the sandwich is on white bread. I can't be more disappointed. I typically go with the Cuban because let's face it- how can you wrong with a Cuban sandwich?!! I decided to branch out and get the grilled chicken salad the last time and I ordered. Blew me away! The portion was HUGE- it was a big bed of crisp lettuce topped with generous portions of peppers, thinly sliced onions, tomatoes, olives, pickles, and of course a large grilled piece of chicken. I really don't know what has happened to this place. I have been ordering from them a minimum of twice a week for quite a while but the last few weeks have been nothing but a disappointment. I always order the same sandwich with special instructions that are not complicated- lately they are never followed. The past 3 orders I have thrown half my sandwich away because of the lack of following instructions and as another wrote, the bread was soggy, almost like they made it on top of some wet. I loved the Cuban sandwich. The meat was very juicy and tender, had Just enough condiments. This is my first South Florida Cuban. it's by far better then the ones I've tried in Orlando/Kissimmee. Stopped by for lunch and got the Michael Angelo with everything on it. It was awesome. Unfortunately I was just visiting south Florida so I have to wait until next time I visit to get another one. Came for a quick lunch break with the Doc as this place is very close to her office! Nice clean Spartan atmosphere which is great for a quick lunch. We ordered at the line and the menu was extensive, the wifey went with the Rueben like sandwich and I ordered the Roast Beef Slawwy. Our order was done in approx 10 minutes and we paid at the counter CASH ONLY! (There went my travel miles to Sweden) The size of our sandwiches were as DT would say "YUUGE"! Very Disappointed!! Have passed this place a thousand times, decided to give it a try. We ordered an eggplant parmesan hero, a tuna hero and a container of potato salad. Well the eggplant was a pile of mush no discernable pieces of eggplant... The Tuna hero was also very sloppy and for some reason had mustard on it!! Yuck!! The potato salad didn't taste like any potato salad I have ever had, not sure if it was going bad or if it had some odd spice to it. This is a family owned place and they've always been amazing! They've been doing this for years and have been running this place pretty smoothly. They might not be a 5 star butler, at-your-heels type of customer service but they're sensible and respectful, as all of us should be. They do their job well, the place is clean, they make the food with only fresh ingredients and as ordered. They're honest and they give you what you want with a smile! However, I'd have to write this review mostly for their food. I've never been a big fan of sandwich places but this place is top notch. They have always made my salad very fresh and that's a big deal for people who love their salad. I have not found a single wilty-looking piece of leaf in my salad and I can taste the difference, no joke. And even at half-salads, my box is always full. At any other place, that would have been the portion for a full order. The quality of my salad had always been the best for the past years and I really don't doubt their consistency. I've also tried their sandwiches, which my fiance is a big fan of. He's the real picky one between the two of us and he loves this place, which says a lot because he doesn't love a lot of places. Our company ordered lunch here. They have a pretty extensive sandwich menu ..hot and cold. My coworker has eaten here before and suggested the tuna. She said she is a tuna snob and they have great tuna. I took her advice and ordered tuna on Rye toast with lettuce. It was a good decision as the tuna was high quality and mixed with only mayo. I wanted a (local) breakfast sandwich and this place was around the corner, so I gave it a try. What an informative name! Unfortunately, noon was too late for breakfast, so I went to the next best-looking-to-me item: pizza. One slice with pepperoni. It was delicious! They had carefully placed several pepperoni slices on the piece; a generous amount. The staff was friendly and fast; the counter staff seemed upbeat and happy. I also took a slice of carrot bread to go; it was also good, not too sweet. I would definitely return here to try out their subs/sandwiches, if I was nearby. But I wouldn't otherwise seek it out, since the inside is so . . . barebones? Industrial? It just wasn't a very appealing place to sit down in at all.
