    Napoleon for dessert!

Cafe Frankie's is small, unassuming but 100% worth it! We went this past Monday for a belated Father's Day dinner and were greeted like we were family! The servers are attentive and friendly and everything we ordered was delicious! My husband ordered one of the specials, a pork chop with this amazing sauce, and while we normally do not we all ordered dessert. And we were so glad we did! We will definitely be coming back.

Went to dinner at Cafe Frankie's. We have not been there for a very long time. Service is 100%. It's located across from the Banana Boat. It's a very small Italian restaurant with very good food. This time I had Chicken Marsala with vegetables, was great. My friends shared Sunday sauce, which included a meat ball, pork sausage and something else, over pasta. I do not eat pork, but the sauce looked amazing. They loved it. My friend said the sausage was excellent & so was the meat ball. They put a dollop of ricotta cheese on top. I only wish their bread was better. We enjoyed our visit & will be back. Sorry forgot to take pictures. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

amazing service & amazing food very cozy and loved the vibes overall definitely coming back soon!

    Large margarita pizza to go

Frankie's Café has the best pizza around. We live in West Boynton Beach and we drive all the way to the intercoastal to get Frankies margarita pizza. The dough is real chewy and the crust is real crunchy. It's nice and thin and greasy just how I like it. Has real mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. CIRO Made our pizza. It was fantastic! On Tuesdays they have a takeout special for a large margarita pizza. We look forward to Tuesdays now! Thank you,CIRO, your pizza was delicious

Pic of their version of Sausage, peppers and onion Sausage, Peppers and Onions Sub and receipt.

Unfortunately, I placed an order of sausage peppers and onion sub and received a sausage Parmesan sub instead . It was a pick up order not noticing the error till I got home when I called Frankie he tried convincing me. This is how we make our sausage pepper and onion subs but, clearly it wasn't. He was rude and dismissive. It's very disappointing when dealing with with a vendor that resolves their issues with anger and ni solutions. It was my third time ordering from this neighborhood restaurant and definitely my last.

Getting ready for some Frankie's cafe Pizza :)))

Not bad if you're looking for a quick slice or two. Stick with the plain slices, actually, you choose. I've attached a couple of pictures for everyone. For sure a thumbs up. It satisfied the craving for some PIZZA!

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

The husband-and-wife owners are clearly hands-on... stopping by tables, checking in with guests, and keeping a watchful eye on everything. It's obvious they care and truly want you to have a great time here. I called for a reservation and it was basically sold out... when they said they could take me at 5pm, I grabbed it. Was actually perfect as I was heading over to see the tennis tournament after dinner. On arrival, the place was empty. As expected, when we left, it was completely full. A half bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay was perfect with my lobster. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's well chosen and fairly priced. The food was excellent across the board. A special of Scallops, Crab Cake, topped with Shrimp over Vegetables was fantastic. My guest enjoyed the Clams Oreganata. I loved my Baked Stuffed Lobster (stuffed with crab), served with amazing Mashed Potatoes... and bonus points for a real hand towel after the lobster. Of course, I had to try the key lime pie... very good. Now I understand why this casual, unassuming spot is so popular... it hits on every note. I noticed a bunch of regulars dining at the bar, which looked perfect to me. The bar is walk-in only... so next time I don't have dinner plans, I'll remember I can just walk in and try for a seat. I'm sure I'll see two familiar faces... the owners, Anthony and Christine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recently came back with a friend for oysters, clams, and drinks, and we sat at the bar for the evening. The oysters, clams, and mussels were absolutely delicious. I originally ordered a Grey Goose martini before realizing they only serve beer and wine, so I switched to a Chardonnay, which was great. The experience was nostalgic in the best way. I know the ownership has changed since I first came here, but I was so happy to hear the cook is still the same! It really brought back memories. We had a fun night overall -- although I may have slightly annoyed the bartender by asking her to take photos of us (they didn't come out too well under the lighting). Before we left, another server kindly helped us take a few away from the lights, and those turned out much better. All in all, I'm really glad I came back to give J and J's another whirl. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was warm and nostalgic, and it reminded me why I loved this place to begin with. You should give it a try too!

Banana Boat -- Boynton Beach (3 stars) Surf & Turf Nachos…read more-- $21 -- "The Mirage Nacho" I only review nachos. That's the whole thing. So I can't tell you about the waterfront, the 40-plus years Banana Boat's been serving Boynton, or the rest of the menu, which, for the record, looked legitimate. I'm here for one plate. The Surf & Turf Nacho sounds incredible on the menu. Filet mignon and shrimp. That's how they get you to $21, and I paid it. Here's what showed up. The filet retired its number after only a few appearances. On a $21 surf-and-turf nacho, the turf scored early and then vanished like a witness in a mob movie. The shrimp came in bigger numbers but arrived whole and uncut, and nobody in that kitchen asked the one question that matters: how does a whole shrimp sit on a nacho chip? It doesn't. It sits on top looking decorative while the chip underneath has an identity crisis. And where would this be without mentioning my old nemesis. Beans. They don't belong on nachos. Ever. If you're using them, you're just trying to make the plate bigger. Maybe you need a big lifted truck too. This isn't a surf-and-turf nacho. It's a nice thought. A dish designed to impress on paper, justify a price, and get photographed; Not to really be eaten as a nacho. It was also a small portion overall. I finished it, but that's not the achievement it sounds like. Finishing a $21 nacho because there wasn't much of it is not a win. It's literally the complaint. Credit where it's due, because I'm not here just to swing: * The queso was actually melted. After a long run of unmelted shredded-cheese disasters around here, that matters. * The guacamole was generous and well made. * It arrived hot, eight minutes out. That counts. * The flavor was genuinely decent. Everything present tasted fine. The problem was what was present, and how little of it there was. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. Rectangular plate, whole shrimp, oversized store-bought chips, everything arranged for the camera. This was never getting eaten with your hands, which means it was never really a nacho. Verdict: 5/10 -- The Mirage Nacho. It looked great on the menu. It tasted decent on the plate. It just wasn't a nacho. The flavor is the only thing keeping it out of the basement. Order it if you want a pretty $21 appetizer. Don't order it expecting nachos. -Florida Nacho Man
