Purchased very affordable tickets months in advance for Omar Dillard, soul violinist. It was my first time attending an event at this venue. It is absolutely beautiful. Parking was easy: $10 card only. There was an open bar on the ground floor with drinks and snacks. AND every seat was a good seat. This time I chose center balcony first row. I DO NOT recommend it. While the view is nice, there is a wooden railing across the front that obscures your view. So you have to lean forward to see the stage. I would choose the second row balcony, wing seats will be my first choice next time. The performer called the people upstairs down to sit in the empty seats and the view was even better from the floor. The acoustics were awesome and it was a great event. read more

Attended a recent Sunday screening at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival here at the Sandy Springs Performance Center. First time at this venue. No signage regarding parking available or nearby . Parked in a bank parking lot. Discovered later they had a parking lot (free w attendee voucher) under the venue. No parking signage visible as I said. When inside the festival volunteers were very helpful getting us to the seats. The venue is impressive! Multi-tiered balconies. Would have taken some pics if I hadn't left phone in the car. Can't imagine there's a bad seat in the house. We were about 15 rows back from the screen n everything was very comfortable, seats and sound. Enjoyed the knowledgeable interview of the filmmaker/subject of the film "Parting the Waters" after the screening. 4 stars because of lack of parking signage. 5 for the venue itself. read more

Very spacious with free parking facility and reasonable drink prices, nice building, clean, cozy and convenient .

We had tickets to Nat King Cole Christmas. We had dinner walking distance to the Performing Arts Center previous to the show at 8pm. The venue looks new and is very nice. The show/concert was very entertaining. Looking forward to seeing other shows and concerts in the future. read more

My husband and I attended an Atlanta Opera performance of Frida at this venue yesterday, and it was a really beautiful theater! Large lobby areas, lots of bars, lots of bathrooms...just a very nice theater. My only complaint is that the parking garage was a bit of a mess (signage terrible, so we ended up at an exit before we found a spot and had to make a tight u-turn). But the theater was lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to see another show at the venue. read more

This is a very nice venue. All of the seats are great for seeing the stage. We sat in the LOGE and it was perfect for us. Parking was underground and $10 or you may be able to park on the street. I would park underground as it gives you direct access to the venue. They sell alcohol, soda, popcorn and chips before and during the event. read more

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for Mary Poppins. That said, we brought our kids and the event info stated that no one under 4 would be admitted and that it was strictly enforced. It wasn't...and that is a good thing because those younger kids had a great time and were a minimal distraction for this 2.5 hour show. The theater is new and does not have a bad seat in the house. It is small, but has that large production feel. The loss of one star for this review is for the price of concessions. I understand a mark up, but $4 for some M&Ms was a bit much. Parking is in a private lot or there is FREE street parking if you are willing to walk a few blocks. Those street spots right in front have a 2 hour limit. read more

Saw a Chorus Line recently at City Springs, and it was a great production. The venue itself is newer and clean. Sound was very good. Balcony seats provide a terrific view of the stage, and I wasn't disappointed with my relatively cheap tickets. I don't like the fact that it's paid parking. It just doesn't feel like a location where paid parking makes sense. $10 to park. When I left, I prepaid. The gates were up for some reason, making me feel like a total schmuck. City Springs is a solid venue. Traffic and parking are maybe slightly better than Fox, but not by much. The cleanliness and "new" feeling of the venue are terrific. read more

My husband and I got married a month ago and our reception was at the studio theater in at performing arts center. It was perfect. There was room for our 120 guests. Perfect amount of space for a Buffett. Two bars and a dance floor and band. They had a suite for me and my bridal party to store our things an touch up. They had stones of conscientious restrooms and the entire staff was helpful in preparing and making our dream a reality read more

Very nice new venue in Sandy Springs. Just saw a big show (South Pacific) in the large Byers theater for the first time. It's all new, so up to the standards you'd expect for a large theater but the facility has design flaws that can't really be fixed. - Not nearly enough bathroom stalls for the capacity of the theater. When everyone goes out at intermission and finds only 3 spots in the men's room per floor, it gets a long line and quickly. Not sure how he women's is, but there were 30+ people in line on every floor in both men & women's. The size of the restrooms probably meets code if it were an office building and that many people were going in on and off thru the day, but it's terrible planning for a theater where everyone goes out at once. - The orchestra level is downstairs. That's fine, except the holding area where people assemble and get drinks during intermission is much too small for the capacity of that level. The center level where you come in is huge yet has the smallest amount of seating on that floor. With the long lines at the restrooms, it's very difficult to navigate. Moral of the story, use the restrooms before the show and don't drink anything so you don't have to go there at intermission. And if you're on the orchestra level, you're better off just standing to stretch your legs at intermission than trying to go out to the holding area. I'm happy there is a nice new venue in Sandy Springs for big production shows and I hope the place does well, but whoever designed the space really failed when it comes to usability. read more
