The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Sangaritas is FAJITAS. They are absolutely to die for. I have gone to Sangaritas at least three times and I have never been disappointed in any of the times that I have visited. The appetizers are mouth watering, especially the sliders and Calamari. Attended a surprise birthday dinner here for a close friend. Had a great night. Food was delicious and nice size portions for a tapas restaurant. Tons of drinks to choose from. Plenty of fruity drinks for the ladies to choose from and good selection of tequila. Staff was attentive even though we were a rowdy bunch of 8 couples. Would definitely go back. Nice food. We were a party of 4 women and this was our first visit to Sangarita's. It was a Friday night and we did not have reservations., but were able to get a table at 6 pm. We all had the Sangria which was good and then we shared various tapas, the croquettes de jamon, meatballs, paella, plantains.. I was disappointed in the quality and portion sizes. If we take one example of the plantains, I can make them better at home. They weren't hot, and they were a bit greasy. Meatballs were ok. The waiter was also rushing us to finish up and LEAVE so the next party could come in. I felt this was very rude. They would have been better off NOT giving us a table. We were only there a short while, not more than 60-90 minutes. The bill came out to about $ 35 pp and I was still hungry. I guess this is a popular spot, so they don't need my business. read more

Underwhelmed. Went in for Happy Hour and was persuaded to try the unlimited tapas. Quality was not what I expected. Service was terrible. If you are in the hospitality industry and serve Customers there are basic rules to abide by. First, you should smile a little. Second, you should say you're welcome when someone says thank you. Third, you should try not to insult your Customers. If you can't follow these basic rules maybe you should consider a career change. Came here with my sister. Bartender jasmine was so sweet. She asked us if we have been here before and it was my first time and my sister's second time. She came back with samples of all their sangrias. I ended up getting the apricot sangria and my sister got the peach one. Service is great and sangrias were tasty. This place is very fun for our neighborhood since we don't have anything like it. I love their tapas but it takes almost a hour to get your food ! It is in Bayside, not far from my house, and excellent food. We love their Shrimps in garlic sauce, and mussels in red sauce. For entrée, we like the paella and lamb chops. We will definitely return to this restaurant again. read more

Great Tapas and Delicious Sangria ( for me the apple and peach are outstanding)! . Ive been to this restaurant twice. Once for sit down service ( the waiter was great, attentive, and funny) and once sitting at the bar ( the bar tender offered the same service even distribution our tapas onto our plates). I believe the owner has another location on Francis Lewis Blvd called Sangria. Although that one is much closer to me and the restaurant itself it much nicer, I still prefer Sangarita :) Look forward to going again. read more

Food was not bad but they truly do not have one decent wine in the restaurant. Every option was horrible. I felt like I was in a dive bar. You don't have to have the priciest bottles of wine to offer something decent to your customers. This ruined our dining experience so until they wake up to this we won't be back. Maybe the owners don't appreciate wine, but since it's your customers that will keep the restaurant going, they might want to consider getting some good advice about this. read more

As with a couple other places glad I decided not to listen. I went this Saturday (2/20/2016) It was completely packed. As busy as it was service was great food was great. The atmosphere was exactly what a Spanish restaurant should be. Have to say will never use YELP again. Love having dinner here! The ambiance is perfect for night out with friends. It's lively and the decor makes you feel like you stepped into an authentic Spanish restaurant on Las Ramblas in Barcelona but in Bayside. We had 730 reservations for a party of 4 and were seated immediately. Thank God for free Valet because trying to find parking on Bell can ruin your night! Staff was very attentive and knew the menu well and had great recommendations. Fresh bread and olives were given while we skimmed the menu. We ended up choosing as our tapas starters the chimmi Sliders, shrimp in garlic sauce , patatas bravas and chorizo. Everything was so delicious!! For dinner we had skirt steak, chicken al ajillo and shared a huge paella Valenciana. The drink menu is extensive and they even offer a free flight of their 5 best sangrias! Sooo fun to taste and choose which one to have with your meal. They are all delicious and by the time you're halfway done with your tapas you have a nice buzz going. So after stuffing our faces and sharing plenty of good laughs thanks to the drinks we were ready to call it quits. But then they bring out the dessert menu - goodbye diet! We shared the churros and the tres leches.! OMG so good. Can't wait to come back! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! My friend and I were referred to this place by someone who has a business relationship with this establishment, at first the ambiance was nice. I noticed the bartender was rude to an elderly couple but didn't pay it mind. My friend proceeded to order the chipotle wings for $12.00. The SIX wings came out undercooked with 2 scrawny celery, the presentation was NOT worth $12.00. She ate one and it was nasty to her, she ate another one and it tasted the same, undercooked and microwaved. She expressed to the bartender about the distasteful wings and the bartender RUDELY told her well she's been to many restaurants and that's how they are. At this point we got frustrated with her attitude and asked for a Manager, Josh came and handled it well and took our opinions into consideration. we complained about the disgusting ATTITUDE of the BARTENDER and she began going back and forth with us about us not wanting 12 dollar wings. NO! WE WANTED GOOD WINGS FOR $12.00 she then told us not to come back because we were just simply explaining that we didn't like them and didn't like HER! Even the Manager had to reprimand her in front of customers!!!! We are paying customers if we think the food is bad then we have a right to express that and We expect a warm and an inviting attitude! You are a bartender who has to know how to deal with adversaries in this business. We are very disappointed and felt very disrespected! I came here during happy hour with my boyfriend and ordered a few tapas and margaritas. I work in the restaurant industry and i know that if people are coming in during happy hour you should inform them if it's only at the bar. Here they did not inform us and when we asked at the end of the dinner we were told it was on a sign outside. Their food good portions for tapas but not quality food. They had a Serrano ham croquette but there was maybe two pieces of ham smaller than a pea. I was very disappointed in the food quality and the customer service. I will not be returning. read more

You won't have leftovers. I wish I could tell you it's because the food is so good (it is) but primarily it's because the portions are a little skimpy. This might be the only reason why I won't give it a five star rating. I had the Paella Valenciana and it was probably the most flavorful paella I've ever had. For $23, I had several chorizos, 3 nice size shrimp and a few pieces of calamari. There was also chicken but it was hard and not great....but oh, that rice. That rice was absolutely delicious. It was worth writing a poem about it's lovely, moist, fragrant grains. All in all, it's a pretty restaurant, good service and a real treasure. All they would need to do to make it a five star is to throw in some more rice. read more

Was just there had a terrible experience. The Resturaunt I I usually go to had an hour and a half wait so I figured I try this place. The hostess and manager were extremely nasty and rude. I was greeted by dirty looks and they were upset that I did not have a reservation (mind you the place was empty). The manager acted as though she was doing us a huge favor by seating us. The whole time I was there she was nasty and consistently giving us dirty looks. She ID'ed my friend and I after a 1/2 hour when we were halfway done with our drink and confiscated a beverage from my friend who is over 30 because she left her wallet at home. She also was making fun of us to her high school aged waiters and waitresses. Also, she was really upset because my friend brought a stroller into the Resturaunt so apparently this place is not kid friendly. The food was terrible, our waiter was very nice and accommodating he sensed we were very uncomfortable. Overall, I would give this place a -1 star, get a new manager. People want to feel welcomed when coming into a resturaunt, and I for one felt very uncomfortable. I will never return, along with the rest of my friends and family. I know many people from the neighborhood I will be sure to pass along the word, the food is terrible, the manager hates her job and treats people like garbage. Was there a couple of weeks ago and decided to go back again yesterday. The food was as great as the first visit which is a big plus especially since we decided to bring our friends there to celebrate a special birthday. Starting with their Sangria as we waited for everyone to get there was a great way to start the night. I prefer the original but honestly even their white one is on point. My friend had their Jalapeño martini and it was really good. Beware it has a hot kick but damn good. Their tapas menu is diverse which is good as some of my friends don't eat fish or meat so the Cauliflower was amazing. I myself shared the Chimi sliders and the Mussels Sangarita's and Octopus which was tender and tasty. We also ordered their Salumeria platter and chicharron which was also delicious. At this point some of us were a little full but we still chose to share a couple of dinners which the staff was very accommodating and brought us extra plates. Paella and grilled churrasco was a great choice for us. Great food and drinks and great company made it so much fun that we will go again. Thanks to the staff for making it a fun time too. read more

i came here at about 9 on a saturday night. it was very busy but they quickly found us a table away from the door so we wouldnt be cold. the drinks were very good as well as the bread. My friend and I ordered the croquettas de jamon and stuffed mushrooms to start. they were both excellent. we then ordered the chimi sliders as well as the patatas bravas which was my favorite tapas when I studied abroad in Spain.The service was excellent as well, all of the staff checked up on us several times. cant wait to come back. the music was excellent as well.
