I have been visiting Sanger cemetery with my mom and relatives since I was a little girl. Almost all of my family is buried there. It always looks beautiful and has such a peaceful feeling out in the country, with all the tree roses, the huge old trees, and peacocks and roosters crowing in the background. Always clean and well maintained. I always make it a point to drop into the office and let Teri know how beautiful everything looks and to please pass on my compliments to the employees. Recently we buried my mom. We had her service at the funeral home and just a direct, private burial at the cemetery with only my brother and I attending. Two of the cemetery employees helped the two Farewell Funeral Home employees carry my mother to her burial site. They were so respectful, standing with their heads bowed and hands crossed and I was pretty overcome with emotion to have the help of these two cemetery workers carry my mom to her final resting place. The preparation and condition of the site was immaculate and so orderly. I recently attended a graveside service at a cemetery in Fresno that I will not name. The grounds were dangerous with gopher mounds and holes and massive tree roots. The grave site preparation was dangerous in my opinion and unsafe for people to be walking around. An elderly man tripped and fell on a rope tying down a tent and could have been seriously injured. There was no comparison in the dignity with which my mother's casket was taken to her gravesite compared to the bouncing precarious dragging of a trolley with the casket at the other service. Employees are always friendly when I am out putting out flowers or polishing up headstones of family members. I always look forward to visiting there. Teri who runs the office is always friendly and was so compassionate when I was feeling my saddest. I always like to give credit where credit is due and the employees at the Sanger Cemetery certainly deserve credit for a job well done! read more
