I would give Sanger M and E a ZERO star. I purchased an order that is OVER $100 to be delivered to my friend for her loss of a family member. I ordered a very unique and calming color in LILY flowers, as for a loss in the family. What was delivered was a DARK PINK almost RED flowers that was partially dead. In my culture it is REALLY rude to deliver Dark pink/red colored flowers. I was very disappointed as there were NO lillies or WHITE/calming color to that bouquet. I spoke to the "arrangement specialist" and he will not allow me to talk to management. This was a very embarassing delivery. Not recommended!! read more

I ordered a pink ribbon with pink flowers corsage through their online website 2 days prior to pickup. I was told it would be ready by 3 pm. When I went to pick it up about 3:15 it wasn't even made yet. Not only that, I ended up getting one with lavender ribbon and they said they were out of pink, the flowers looked old, open and the tips of the flowers were already dying and yellow. I also waited 30 mins and when I finally received it they gave it to me in a little plastic bag instead of a plastic container. Highly recommend to go somewhere else. I am completely blown away by my experience with Eli. I called on Labor Day not sure if I would reach someone and reached Eli. From that moment forward he was so incredibly helpful helping me order some flowers for my sons girlfriend. Since he didn't have any tulips in stock he went over the color combos we would like. I called in the morning and verified they would be opened when I get off work, explained I needed to order a corsage. When I walked in, a man was directly in front of the door decorating an arrangement and the small room was a mess. Doesn't seem like a place of business. The man then starts to tell me how he is crunched for time and probably wouldn't be able to help me. He then asks what I needed and asked for the date of the prom. He then says "you have time, are you from Sanger can you you come back tomorrow?" I said sure and went to Flowers in a Basket on Saturday and my experience was great! He said he we had to wear it which is normal business practice these days except there were workers not wearing mask in close proximity to me and more in the back without mask. I placed an order for delivery on a Saturday, it was never delivered even though the recipient stated someone was home all day. I received a email confirmation of a successful delivery which was not the case. When called to inquire they stated the confirmation was sent in error and did not in fact deliver the flowers due to the heat and not wanting to jeopardize the quality of their flowers which is acceptable; except of course the incorrect delivery notification. He assured he would remedy their mistake and deliver the next day they received flowers, a Monday, to right their wrong; which was great. I called Monday to get a time window to ensure someone would be home to accept the flowers, was on hold for over 5 minutes, called back and a gentle man answered rudely when I mentioned the error in delivery by stating he did not speak to me; placed me on hold and found the order, provided a 2 hour time frame. Great! I did leave a review with their online system not recommending this business as a result of the poor treatment on a mistake they made. I later received and extremely passive aggressive message from Eli, stating I need to understand that Mark, the gentleman that was less than polite was overwhelmed with the workload, such as funerals which is their priority, naturally. He continued to state that my suggestion to not recommend this business is offensive and "your order was not the only one sitting on our work bench". Ended the email that I should take the stand of understanding their business, their workload, and position they are in rather than "put others down" to reread the email and "grasp the details" he mentioned. Bottom line, I am now assured I would absolutely NEVER recommend this business. While it is unfortunate the circumstances in which they are overworked in light of COVID and just death in general and as humans we do make mistakes but customer service should be maintained and held at the highest priority. Answering the phone in a rude tone, and then sending argumentative emails arguing a paying customer's experience is beyond unprofessional. read more

I ordered via telefloral for an item to be delivered on someones birthday. The day came and went the order status said delivered but there was nothing. They said the place was closed....but contract with telefloral says businesses are delivered do between 10-5. They tried to say they delivered it but no one was there....this buisness is open till 6. So they were super late. By the time I got ahold of anyone it was 4 days later they refused to give me a refund and said they would bring something the next day and it would be upgraded. It was dropped off at 5pm and looks NOTHING like the picture online. Online it was a money tree with rock and decor in a modern looking black pot. Our son that is serving in the Army and is currently in Kuwait asked his mom to order flowers for his future wife for Valentines Day. Our son text from Kuwait and asked his mom to check on the flowers. She called, was placed on hold, then was told that they were busy and would get to it, but add: they knew who she was, and no longer wanted our business. It was explained to them that our son was asking about his order. It is night there in Kuwait and he was getting ready for his mission. I spoke to the actual owner Eli on 9/20/16.  He was very rude and kept interrupting while I tried to express my concerns in a polite way.  He did not want to respond regarding his employees Mark and Cheryl who lied and hung up on me.   Eli, the owner took my email address as did Cheryl but none of my receipts were sent as promised. Eli tried to bully and intimidate me by saying he was going to record me.  I said I have to agree to be recorded. He said "no he was notifying me of the recording." So much for abiding by the law! Mark, Eli said, had given me one extra carnation in each centerpiece so I should be happy. However, I called Mark the day before the funeral to ask for 2 more centerpieces.  Thank goodness that did not work out because Mark said he was waiting on the delivery of my purple flowers (filler to go with the red carnations) So it was evident they made a substitution without authorization and just stuck an extra carnation in the centerpieces. Also they did not deliver until I said I could no longer wait at the delivery site.  I did not sign for the delivery and Mark knew I would refuse the order. Talk about being duped by a sneaky flower shop. I should have cancelled when Mark "forgot" to call me What kind of business lies about ownership, makes unauthorized substitutions, yells at the customer when they point out major problems, delivers the wrong size arrangement, makes glue and sloppy hand written glitter banners, won't abide by the delivery time, makes ridiculous excuses and tries to intimidate customers. M & E Floral Shop in Sanger does. A customer is well within reason to get a firm commitment and be treated with dignity and respect.  I am taking additional steps to get a refund from this highly unethical unprofessional company. read more
