Always felt supported, challenged (in a good way), learned new things, and felt like I improved each class. Sometimes classes had 1-2 people (semi private not bad), sometimes the room was full. You can do drop ins or sign up online with the MindBody app. They offer a card of 5 or 10 classes for a discounted rate. Enter the studio through the back door -- alley behind South Edison restaurant (it might be a little smelly in the alley, but that ends once you are in the studio). Check the schedule they have interesting classes beyond traditional yoga - Indo board SUP yoga (stand up yoga on a paddle board) Pilates Surfer yoga (advanced) And more.

This place was a breath of fresh air after taking a $26 dollar class at LOVE yoga the pervious day- the teacher there was a pedantic surfer girl who had no real expertise. Some of the poses she had us do weren't even yoga poses...Plus there was about an inch in between each person's (thin/ cheap) mat- way over crowded. If you regularly practice yoga in NYC and want a weekend drop in class, go for this studio.

Vinyassa with Tessa was slow paced enough so that even a beginner could follow along yet I left knowing I had a great workout/stretch. The studio is clean and spacious and all the props you may need are readily available. Signing up online for a drop in class was very easy and reasonably priced.

The energy in the studio was fantastic. It's one large room with lovely wood floors that they've separated into a front desk and lounge area and the practice space in the back. Personal belongings can be stored up front in a cubby sort of setup while class is in progress. I assume they lock the door during class, and like that the area where our things are kept are in view from the space we flow in. The practice space was kept at a low level of light, which I enjoy. It was not a hot yoga class, I don't believe those are offered at this studio. Another yogi asked for the AC to be turned up before practice started which the studio obliged; they seem very accommodating. There's a big shelf full of blocks, bolsters, and whatever other sort of props you could hope to have available. The practice area is spacious and folks are respectful and give each other plenty of space even in a busy class like the one I joined. The class was taught by a yogi named Julia, it was a vinyasa practice which I quite enjoyed. She was kind enough to ask before practice began if anyone had any special requests. There weren't any, so she lead us through a well-balanced practice (I would've loved more back bending/heart openers, but I know that's not everyone's thing). I'm more advanced in my practice and she offered loads of modifications that suited my preferences. Her voice was soothing and I liked the, "I am present. I am complete," affirmation that she paired along with the in breaths and out breaths. A cute, chill little studio in a nice spot. It seems like they have a nice variety of class offerings based on their online schedule. I'll definitely be going back!
