The fat was as white as paper. The meat cold to the touch. I asked the waitress to have it warmed. When it returned it looked much better and was the right temperature and appearance. However, it was terrible. The meat tasted old and had a tinny taste to it. My wife absolutely enjoyed her chicken dish and we enjoyed out meal with friends. When I paid the bill I let the waitress know that the prime rib didn't improve and was terrible. She apologized and gave a small discount on the bill. Unfortunately, this is the second bad prime rib I have gotten at the Fox Den. I am not picky and just want consistency in a restaurant. For over $30 you have a consistent product or don't offer that item. Since you advertise it as a restaurant specialty you should really stand behind the quality a little better. Maybe offer to replace it with a fresh cut. Overall, I am sure we will go there again, just not as often. PS I commented on one of their ads on Facebook and they deleted by comment without a response. Mistakes are made, own it and improve on it.

We were seated in a booth in the front window. Aaliyah was our server, and despite the fact that she spelled her name several times for me I accidentally deleted the post, so I don't know if I have it right. But anyway, you should ask for her. Except for when I'm dining there because I want her to be MY server. They brought bread, which had a variety as well as two types of dipping oil. One was a pesto and I believe the other was a sun-dried tomato and they were both phenomenal. We ate our weight in bread. We had the shrimp fondue appetizer for the table. They were large fried shrimp. Not with much breading just a light coating. And it was served with a Borson cheese dipping sauce that was killer. You can't go wrong. Two of us had fillets two had the crabcakes and I had the cowboy ribeye special. Two of our diners also had a cup of tomato soup and split a wedge salad. See pictures. The wedge salad had an amazing dressing on it and they split it in the kitchen. The tomato soup was very tasty. I would have that again. The crabcakes were excellent without a lot of breading. It had a Romano sauce that had red pepper in it, which is not something I like, but they were very tasty. The crabcakes came with excellent oven roasted potatoes. Very crispy very good. The fillets came with a mixed medley of vegetables and a mashed potato, and my ribeye steak came with grilled asparagus and the mashed potatoes. If I were going to have any complaint it would be that the steaks were just slightly cooked more than I would've liked. Next time I would order rare. We had the carrot cake and the lemon cake for dessert. Carrot cake was good but the lemon cake was out of this world. Absolutely amazing. We also had the chocolate martini which was fabulous. Not too chocolatey and not at all too sweet. As I mentioned, our weight staff were exceptional. Overall, I would say this was fabulous.

We made a reservation for 13 on a Saturday and they were ready and waiting for us. The table was prepared and two servers greeted us. The restaurant, located inside of the Springbrook Inn, is a bit difficult to describe. Comfortable with some kitsch, a bit of an upscale family restaurant with a reasonable wine list (also reasonable pricing). The menu is not extensive but hits all of the main American items: steak, seafood, pasta, soup and salad. All of the mains were served with mixed vegetables (zucchini, onion, pepper or sans pepper for me as requested) and a potato (which included rice in the category). We did have two vegetarians in the group and the grill was not very vegetarian friendly. They did offer a stuffed red pepper, which luckily both ordered and enjoyed. The rest of the group had a large variety: cajun pasta, steaks, shrimp, perch and my order of ribs. The cajun pasta had a good flavor and was not at all spicy (this could be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences). The only complaint was that only a lone shrimp was found in the dish (the menu did say shrimp, which while suggesting a plural, was not). Overall everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the ribs as was a bit disappointed. The meat was tender but severely over sauced. I also found the sauce to be average. I did really like the sauteed veggies. I would not agree with the other reviews that the food is outstanding. I felt it was good to above average, depending on the item. The service was five stars. Both servers were friendly and engaging, refilling promptly and were responsive in their check ins. My four stars are based on an overall good experience and the service certainly orchestrated this.

Kim is one of the kindest, most organized, fun people you'll ever meet, and the events she creates are incredible. She has a way of making everyone feel like family. When we ask our daughter where she wants to go for dinner, she always says, "The Cut." And honestly, it isn't even for the food. It's because she feels loved, welcomed, and at home there. Didn't even try to call ahead, just went early! Requested a table on the patio! There were many open tables! They had to check availability?! Yes, we have a table. Full sun! It was a beautiful summer evening! But there were at least 3-4 tables in the shade open. We requested the host to move us to a table in the shade. We were denied. First we were told that someone had been there already, left and they were coming back(they were holding the table for them)! Then the waitress told us the tables were "reserved" for friends of the owners! I stated I thought they didn't take reservations. Basically told us to get up, put our name on the list, and wait until the people that are not there yet decide to show up, and once they are done they will reseat us! Btw, I was a restaurant manager (not fast food)when I was in college 25 years ago. If I would have treated any customer the way she treated our table, I would have lost my job! I'm white, my husband is black, and my SIL and niece were with us, both black. Our group of friends from the previous weekend are a very diverse group of white, Asian, and black.
