My guy and i went out for a half day charter. Not sure what i was getting myself into, but in the end, i had a great time and would do it again in a heart beat. One downside, early morning departure.... coffee...and more coffee. the capt and the 2 of us were on a big white "flatsboat" ....Roomy, with a big outboard motor. A short run up the coast. flat as glass water and we were fishing for Tarpon. The capt hooked up the bait and cast out for us.... I did not have any luck but my man hooked up on two huge ones that put on an amazing jumping display before they broke the line. My luck came a little later in the morning when we were fishing near the shore in the mangroves and i hooked two beautiful snook. Great trip on the water, fish fought, suntan worked on.... then a well deserving nap when we got back to the condo ! read more

Absolutely a great day. From the first call to Carolynn to Captain Brandt's expertise it was a trip my boys won't forget. Everyone on the boat caught a fish, 30 fish in total. Brandt worked his tail off to make sure everyone was taken care of based on what their needs were from baiting a hook to taking the fish off and everything in between. Great with kids!!! Had a great time on this charter. Captain Brant Symes knows the local waterways off Sanibel and where the fish are. He was nice enough to stop on our way out to point out some dolphins we had not seen and get some pictures. I highly recommend this charter; especially if you want to go fishing but don't want to hassle with bait, tackle, licenses and all the extra stuff you have to do to fish. Capt. Symes does it all. He will do as much or as little as you need, including baiting hooks, casting and taking fish off lines. We caught a lot of fish including some nice keepers we were able to take home. He even cleaned the fish at the dock for us. The day passed much to quickly but we will book with Sanibel Custom Charters on our next trip to Sanibel!!! read more

Really enjoyed our day of fishing with Captain Brandt! Got to see dolphins, a manatee, and caught a variety of fish! Took home two trout keepers (that Brandt filleted for us) that we had for dinner. We had an awesome time with Brent. We left early and came back a little late, which was great because we were catching quite a few fish and I could tell Brent just loves to be out there on the water so he didn't rush us back. When we didn't catch fish he would move us to a spot where we did catch fish and even though a lot of them were small we kept reeling them in and just had so much fun. His rig is sweet too, he has a really nice new 24ft boat with a huge motor. We also saw dolphins swimming pairs right beside the boat. I know people from around the island see that all the time but for me it was great. I have been on about 4 fishing charter trips in my life and this was by far the best. read more
