My cousin was coming from Pine Island via boat to pick us up. The marina owner said he couldn't stop there to get us, that we had to go to the boat ramp. We explained that he was going to stop to get gas and we would just board while he was gassing up. He said no, we still couldn't board there. Needless to say my cousin did not get gas from him and the owner lost out on hundreds of dollars. I was also going to buy a sunhat from the store but changed my mind when he was so rude to us. read more

We went here for the "Stars and Stripes" Dolphin Encounter. It was more affordable then some other similar options on the island but equally awesome! Our captain was an easy going man who genuinely seemed to be enjoying himself. He welcomed questions and seemed to be a "dolphin whisperer." Our ride went from beautiful and relaxing to totally thrilling. He took us out to where he had seen a lot of dolphins earlier in the day and gave us a fantastic trip. We saw other islands and LOTS of dolphins. He knew how to get them to "play" with us and worked hard to get us very close. He seemed like he really wanted us to have a great time. When we saw a dolphin with a partial missing fin, he explained why. He was knowledgable and clearly experienced. We had dolphins right beside us...almost so close we could touch them. On the way back, he let us "play" with some more. This was wonderful and I would do it again in a heartbeat! read more

They don't sale gas to Jetski owners, we stop to eat at Gramma dot's and they refuse to sell gas by the owner, we are a family oriented group traveling that area for the first time we were coming from Englewood and only one ski was low on fuel, and even though we managed to get back safe they put at risk people. I know there are so many irresponsible PWC owners but you shouldn't judge everyone!! read more

My family has an awful cold and have to get a covid test as soon as we can as directed by our doctor and we are still getting charged 1/2 day....and it wasn't so much that, it is more how it was handled. Well over the past two and a half months I've had one heck of an experience. After owning my vote for about six months and running into a lower unit issue I was stuck in the water and I was towed to Sanibel Marina back in early October. Mike the mechanic, who I certainly have respect for, attempted to make quick work to get a rebuilt lower unit put on to my 250 Yamaha. the challenge comes as I brought it via channels immediately back to my place through deep water and had my other mechanic work on the boat to do a full tune up. Discovered that the lower unit was bad and that the shaft was bent. Talk to Sanibel Marina and can't lie but I could not be more disappointed on how they handled it. The blame squarely went on me and they wash their hands of $3,200 worth of work to put in a new lower unit. They were insistent that I hit something, where it is always a possibility but I brought the boat, by myself through every deep channel to my place in Cape Coral. Saw the prop after and nothing new on it. The real gem of all this is the owner, a fella that is a blow heart by the name of M****. I'm confident you been around for a while and you have visited you've run into this ogre. from when I first addressed the issue to wanting to talk with him and having no calls back after no less than 10 calls to them and finally getting Mike the mechanic to insist that he wanted to inspect it again to the owner, they brought it back in and decided that it was all my issue none of theirs even though they had zero proof and wanted to charge me for a comprehensive redo. Mike was reasonable, but then I talked to M****. He started screaming and yelling at me for all kinds of reasons telling me to go hell, to go F*** my self... And you can continue to imagine the conversation that he invested in. Literally could not talk to him but I did need to get my boat back and though they should have paid for all the rework I asked to compromise with Mike and Mike agreed that a 50/50 would would be an appropriate approach. He went to the owner, M***** and told me he agreed, but Miton said to Mike his mechanic, just mark it up so when the 50% comes out it's actually 100%. Why do I know this? because Mike came right back to me and told me exactly what he said. I will not be visiting them anytime soon for the way they treated me, the work they did on the boat and how their service after the sale was. Just paid another $500 and picked up my boat. Don't get me wrong, I voted for 40 years and like my uncle used to say, if you like boating then just go step in the shower turn on the water with a pair of scissors and start cutting up hundred dollar bills. You just do not need scammers or assholes. read more

I am writing this review in regards to a 3 person fishing charter that we took out of the Sanibel Marina with Captain Traye Cooke. I highly recommend that you and your family take a fishing trip while staying on Sanibel - and if Captain Traye is available to take you out - I don't think you will be disappointed. Captain Cooke is very knowledgeable, and he will bait and cast for you - if that is what you prefer. He has a lot to share about Sanibel history, and fishing in the waters around Southwest Florida - but he knows when to be quiet to enjoy the peaceful stillness of fishing on the Bay around Sanibel. We saw a Cormorant eat a snake - no Dolphins or Manatees on this trip. I hear that is rare! In order to maximize actual fishing time - Captain Cooke knows the best spots and how long to stay in each spot. Don't forget sun block!!! :) This fishing trip was by far the best thing we did on our week long vacation to Sanibel. I have been coming to this Island since I was a child, and this was the first time that I went out fishing. We took an early morning trip - 8am - Noon. We motored out into Tarpon Bay - beyond the Causeway - and I had the best luck! So did my husband! We caught beautiful snapper, ladyfish, trout, and colorful jack. Captain Traye used live shrimp and tiny live shiner (what my husband called fry) fish as bait. It was a fantastic morning on the water, and I think we were all sad when we had to go back into the Marina at Noon. It is great not only for the fishing - but for the whole relaxing on a boat in the warm water thing. Can't be beat! :) Captain Cooke knows all the regulations and wil humanely throw back what is not large enough. He will clean and filet the fish for you when you are back at the Marina. There are numerous restaurants on the Island that will cook your catch for you (Captain Cooke recommended the Lazy Flamingo) - or you can grill them out at your condo if you happen to be staying at Pointe Santo De Sanbel like we did. We all agreed that a fishing trip out of the Marina with Captain Cooke is definitely on our list for next year's trip to Sanibel Island. read more

Took the Stars & Stripes sightseeing cruise with Captain Carmen today and once again, our family had a blast! For the reasonable $25 per person rate, you can't beat the experience! Each time we've taken the cruise, we always look forward to the next trip! Highly recommend this excursion and make sure to dine at Gramma Dot's before or after. Staff was incredible at the marina. Back Cove dealers and having a Back Cove boat was nice. Grandma Dots restaurant was nice and a great place to sit outside. I would say marina not great dog friendly as there is t a particular dog area and you have to walk out of the marina for grass. Fixed docks made the huge low tides difficult to get dog on and off the boat. Watch the tides if you draw more than 3 feet as you will have to wait to get through the inlet. read more

Very unfriendly employee and a very rude owner. Our boat could only be refueled very slowly. The fuel inlet is very curvy so it takes a while to fill up the tank. During the refuelling they cut the supply and told us they will not provide us any more with gasoline. And next time we should take an other marina! We've been the only boat at the time there and they try to explain bullshit excuses why they cut of the supply. Side effect of slow pumping is that the cunsumer get the most of their money, check google. read more

We got a private sunset cruise for $25 a person. Since it was just our family, we got to dictate where we went and the captain got the dolphins to play with us as we were on our way back. Because of where we stayed, he even picked us up right in front of the condo. Bring your own drinks and food and enjoy. read more

Excellent service! We rented a deck boat at a very fair price. The staff were helpful with showing us the boats controls as well as loading our gear. I do wish the boat had a live well but we did just fine without it. I will be back:) read more

We rented a deck boat for six and enjoyed a 6 hour cruise along Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The staff was professional, courteous and prompt.....couldn't have improved service. Boat was a little dated and needed a little TLC, but it is a rental and surely abused. read more

We have been coming down to Sanibel since the early 70s and this is the absolute worst place to rent boats. Two examples over the years... First time we rented a center console here and we were out for a few hours. We went to Cabbage Key for burgers and came back. Never left the channel once. When we return, the sorry old man working the dock accused us of bending the prop. Absolutely a total crock. We never left the channel and we never entered shallow water. He ended up trying to charge me $250. I refused and left to him yelling at me. The second time we rented March 2016 the owner tried to jack up the rates due to spring break. He pointed to what was literally a post it note saying "new rental boat prices : $240/ half day". Never mind the fact that the lady who booked us AND their website said $175. The owners response to my questioning if the rate was "the time for negotiating is over. Pay up." What?! Not surprising though. These guys are the WORST. Everyone who visits Sanibel often knows to avoid these guys like the plague. Rent at Jensens who are the nicest people on the island. Or Tween Waters. Either is far better than these conniving losers who will lie and rip you off. read more

My husband and I decided to spend the day at Sanibel and go on a dolphin tour and decided to call this business to make our reservation. We are vacationing on Bonita Beach which is a 45 minute drive to the island. We thought we would tour sanibel as well. When I called to make our reservation a lady named Stephanie talked to me and said at the time of my call they didn't have any other reservations and only do the tour with 6 or more people and would call me if they didn't get any other reservations for the day we wanted. This was on Monday. Seeing how we didn't get a call, we drove over and decided to eat lunch before our tour which was at 1:00. While waiting on our lunch I went to check in. The time was 11:30. The man that I talked to looked at his book and told me there were no other reservations for the 1:00 tour. I told him that I talked to Stephanie and that said she would call me if there were no other reservations. He shurged his shoulders and said I can't help that she didn't call. He wanted me to check back after we ate and maybe there would be enough people. So after we ate lunch we went back and talked to another man and told him my story again. He was surprised that I hadn't been called. The other man walked in during this that I had talked to earlier and said that he couldn't help that we drove 45 minutes and wouldn't make eye contact with us when he said this. My husband and I have NEVER been treated this way! What a horrible way to treat people. I know we will not hear from them for an apology. We were looking forward to this tour!!! We were VERY disappointed. read more
