A marina which has a large metal hangar for the boats (and is fun to watch them take out of the water and drive in to rinse off and put away - almost like a giant toy box, really). Located behind the Publix, they have a restaurant here, a small shop for anglers + tourists, and a few tours that run out of this location for the people passing through. We joined the @suntex boat club-super nice selection &boats are always clean & reliable with a great range out on the water. Staff always smiling and helpful, even in this summer heat. read more

They seriously need to update their rentals! I would be ashamed to even offer any pontoon looking like this. The boat was covered in Mildew and dirty. Especially during Covid times I doubt anyone would take this boat out, we came prepared with wipes and garbage bags ( we are boaters so we didn't expect perfection) however this boat was trashed. We wont be renting again. Sad because we send friends and renters over because we have condos next door. At least cover the rips and tears with some tape so people can sit on the cushions. Pros: price, marina, parking, helpful staff, freedom with kayak Cons: no tips on routes, no one suggested we take water, self docking It's on my bucket list to kayak with hubs on vacation this summer. On the beach rentals were $60 bucks per person. Here we paid $20 bucks a person and got our own kayaks. It's $20 for 2 hours and $30 bucks after that but hubs arms were done at 2 hour mark. Located directly behind Publix and we called ahead and they held kayaks for us. We went from 1:15 to 3:30 they only charged us $20 each or $40 overall. When we got back we had to dock our own kayak which is no problem for us. And there is a bar with happy hour from 3-6 only a few feet from marina. Overall it's been a great day. With a huge tip for our waitress at the bar & kayaking it's still less than we would have paid on the beach. If you know how to kayak and just want to explore the wildlife go here and save yourself some cash. read more

I purchased a boat a few months ago and was struggling to find a place to store it. My last stop was Snook Bight where I met Jeff the new GM and he took great care of getting me setup there. The staff there is extremely friendly and helpful no matter what the circumstance is. Great amenities, the outside bar area is nice, the five star restaurant on the top floor is excellent you won't find a better full service stop. From what I know Jeff took over as the GM awhile ago and is doing an excellent job. Their boat rentals are top notch as well. read more

Snook Bight. More like Snake Bite. I rented a pontoon boat from these guys while on vacation in Florida. Everything went smooth and without a glitch until I returned the boat. That's when I got bit in the a__! Before we launched the boat they pointed out all the damage and had me sign an agreement. Believe me their rental boats are in rough shape. But, I felt confident and comfortable because I've been on the water my entire life. However, when I returned to the dock, things felt different, now they claimed I damaged it. What I said? I'm the only one who drove it. Had something happened I would know about it. At this point it was between me and them and these pompous jerks wouldn't believe a word I said. It definitely seemed like a setup to fill their coffer. Word to the wise ... unless you're willing to help pay for their lofty salaries and/or donate to their maintenance fund. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Such a joke. I'll never return or recommend them to anyone. read more

I was there the first week of May and Snook Bight are so rude, offer no help and are expensive compared to other boat rentals. The lady at the front desk is a snob, rude and behaves like you are a total annoyance. There is a boat rental place in Captive that is $150 cheaper than Snook bight cheapest boat. Also, Snook Bight wants a huge deposit that they charge your credit card and refund the money after the rental. The Captiva place gets on the boat and clearly explains boat operation, gives you a map and updates on current fishing hot fishing spots. Snook Bight takes your money, that's it. The boat rental place in Captiva makes a carbon copy of your credit card and when you return the boat they give you the carbon to destroy. They do not charge your card. Snook Bright is a rip off, rude, and unpleasant people to deal with. There are many other places to get a nice boat much cheaper and without the hassle read more

we took our boat in for repair on 4/15/15 as it was over heating, after they replaced the thermostat, water pump, we picked it up after spending almost $600. The same problem was not fixed, we called and Kevin told us he was leaving on vacation he would call when he returned, never hapened. We took it to another Marine shop where they knew imediately what the problem was, I would NEVER take my boat to Snook again, very disappointed. The boat is now repaired and running great after weeks of waiting and spending $$$$ read more

Rented a pontoon for the day. Price was right. Easy online reservations, friendly staff, nice brief to the point overview with the opportunity to ask questions. Boat was very nice compared to others I have rented. If you compare companies, make sure to look at the horsepower you are going to get. I saw some cheaper companies, but good luck pushing around a family with the horsepower they were offering. 2 goals of the trip. 1. Let my kids see a dolphin.. saw one as we were getting on the boat and countless more after that. 2. See a manatee. Harder to do, but they are out there. read more

Horrible pontoon rental experience. The boat looked like it had been abused for years! The steering wheel was so gross I didn't eat to touch it and good thing we brought towels cause the seats were gross! All they do is hose the boats down. This poor boat looked like it'd been in a demolition derby! The lady lied when I called and told me their boats we're fairly new and in good shape. This boat was at least ten years old for sure. Can't say enough good things about Snook Bight Marina! After spending 4 days traveling up and down the gulf coast looking for a marina to call home we feel we have hit the jackpot. The beautiful location, spotless amenities, and accommodating staff are second to none. Barry, Bridget and Terry went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We do not take this marina choice lightly, as it is a big commitment to bring our 40' craft all the way from Wyoming. After speaking with Jerry & Kevin, in the service department we feel very comfortable that we have found a knowledgeable and experienced staff to competently get our boat ready for many sea adventures! Having such a lovely waterside restaurant with excellent service and friendly staff was icing on the cake for us! Could have been a 4 or 5 star place as it's a great deal, until you realize they told you nothing about how to man the boat or that you have to be back on the dot. No notion of where to go or how to do anything when they weren't prepared. Offered us a bucket for the fish, which was nice,... But besides that,... $160 for half day pontoon ended up being $225 with extra fees and late charges. read more

Very nice marina with very nice boats and great prices. We paid the same price at another marina for a pontoon that was very bare, with a very weak engine. The boat we rented from Snook was fairly new, nice stereo, great engine. We loved going into all of the beaches around Lovers Key, etc and saw alot of dolphins. We would use them again. read more

Staff was great, particularly Jake for taking such time to share all his detailed knowledge. That said, it was a $25 boat ride. "Dolphin tour" was a bit of a stretch for us. Great dolphin action shots on the website will lure you in w/ high expectations. Be prepared that the word "sighting" also could mean a distant, lucky glimpse (if you're sitting on that side of the boat). However, understand that you can't predict nature. Consolation prize...? Birds! Close up beautiful birds of all kinds. Should rename it... "The Big Beautiful Bird Tour." All in all, it was nice to be out on the water but my 13y/o daughter was rather disappointed. read more

Good place to rent a pontoon from. My family and I have rented from Snook Bight for the past 6 years and have received very good service and reliable boats. This year we rented one of the new pontoon boats and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Steve at the dock was very helpful with the boat info and questions regarding the boundaries of the excursion. Thanks Steve!! We've never had any problems with the boats or staff. This is something that my family and I look forward to every year and will continue to use Snook Bight until they prove otherwise. My family rents a patoon boat a couple times a year from this marina and we have never had any issues. Obviously arrive and return on time. Helpful staff who answer any questions up front and never up charge or have hidden fees. They have rentals for fishing and a cooler on board that you can use. Although the patoon boats don't go super faced they are in good shape and run well. They include a map of the area and there are many solid fishing and dolphin watching spots on the bay and gulf. You can rent for a half or full day and the patoons are definitely family friendly. read more

Rented a 25' pontoon for 9 people. Excellent boat to accommodate that many people. Room for cooler and beach bags. Bimini could shelter about 6 people comfortably. Were able to navigate around the island within a 4 hour time window. Excellent value. We chose this company for a boat rental because of the reasonable prices. However the service was sub par and the instructions for how to operate the boat and navigating the area were minimal. We were charged a substantial fee for being 10 minutes late. This would be a good option for someone who is familiar with the area and gas boating experience. read more

We were happy to have this place recommended to us as the prices were really reasonable. However, after about 15 minutes into my paddleboard fun, I lost my balance a little and dropped my paddle, which promptly sank. What kind of paddle sinks? So I had to swim it back. Luckily a nice guy in a little motor boat saw me and came to my rescue. I would have expected them to say sorry that I got stuck out there at the very least. Nope. Just a, some of those don't float. What?! And, you need to go inside and settle up. So I went in and talked to the lady who informed me that I would have to pay for it. I told her that I didn't think I should have to pay for faulty equipment as it shouldn't have sank. We went back and forth and she was pretty nasty about it. After being told it was $85, I laughed and said I wasn't paying for it and they could sue me if they needed to. Then she sicc'd some guy on me and I told him the same thing. We left when he threatened to call the sherriff. After reading these other reviews, I'm glad I stood my ground! read more

Terrible customer service. Dangerous equipment. Use customers to pay for their lack of proper upkeep and maintenance of the equipment. My group rented paddle boards and kayaks in hopes to enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the water. A member of my group became stranded during our trip due to faulty equipment and had to be brought back in by a passing charter boat. Upon arrival we were informed that we had to pay for the equipment. I tried to discuss the problem with the staff but they would not listen. I practically had to force them to give me the number of the manager for me to talk to. I tried contacting him several times but was completely ignored. I am a local and would not recommend to anyone. Save yourself the headache. read more

Went fishing on a charter only caught a few fish. The guy said there was no current in the water but we only went fishing in 30 ft of water. $500 for about 8 small fish in general with only 3 keepers. Do not recommend for the price. Would rather go to daytona deep sea fishing where we caught countless big fish. A barracuda and a bonnet head shark (relative of hammerhead). I know gas isint worth 500$ and neither is 4 dozen shrimp which ran out halfway through. read more
