    No detail and boat sitting on the wheel well

    Horrible first boat buying experience, tons of reasons. #1 The trailer they gave me for my boat isn't the correct one for my boat, there's foam 1/2 taped around wood poles holding the boat, the jack to lower and raise the trailer is broken, the wires are loose, and the tires are bald. #2 The live well and two speakers are broken (neither of which were brought to my attention until I drove five hours to pick it up). My salesman said he was authorized to give me $200 to compensate for those two issues. $200 doesn't cover the part or labor to fix the live well, and the speakers are $169 for the pair. #3 The boat was a filthy mess, although they knew I was coming, they didn't bother to prep it or clean it at all. Earlier in the week, they agreed to "remove the old name" and that's exactly what they did. A lone letter and all the glue was just left on the side of the boat. #4 Although, they knew I was coming from five hours away and did arrive a good hour before closing, I was treated very poorly. I was rushed through the walk through and had to beg to be given a test ride. The test ride that I was finally given was with a Captain who smelled like a gallon of Rum. I was given one word answers to all my questions and made to feel like I was beneath them in front of my teenage son. I have contacted the General Manager to express my concerns regarding my experience; however, I was ignored. I would not recommend this establishment

    Salty Sam's Cruises…read more Sunset Cruise During the sunset cruise from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, Captain Ken and Captain Steve announced a "buy one, get one free" drink promotion without informing management. There was confusion: Captain Ken said the tour was "buy one, get one free," while Captain Steve added that the second drink had to be of equal value. Based on these announcements, I purchased two beers at $8.00 each and requested two free "Mama Bahamas" drinks. I paid with my Visa card and added a tip. However, my bank statement showed additional charges--$10.00 and $19.20--that I did not authorize. I emailed Salty Sam's managers about these charges, but received no response or clarification. Be aware of potential extra charges when buying drinks or other items--you might face unauthorized charges without management's explanation. No follow-up or refund has been issued for these incorrect charges, and customers are often ignored. I will not return to this establishment. Pooja Hughes

    To Whom it may concern,…read more I rented a boat yesterday and upon returning was handed a receipt for $30 +/- for fuel consumption. The gentleman at the dock stated that "I was ALL SET" and wished me a good day. I was just emailed a receipt for $950 ($1,000 deposit - less $50) for returning the boat without paying for fuel and charged an additional $21.81 for fuel on my CC. I called just now to explain the situation to a woman on the phone, I thought that when I was handed a fuel receipt, that I had in-fact paid for the fuel. Which would make sense, being handed a receipt and saying you're all set. To add insult to injury, the woman I spoke to lied and said I handed back the map to the office and said I would be back to pay for the fuel and never returned, which is absurd and simply a fabrication/not true. She told me repeatedly that I was told upon renting the boat that I had to stop back in the office and pay for the fuel after getting the fuel ticket. I explained that I was told literally a hundred things including signing and initialing and watching a video, so no, I don't remember that. She also said, "well everyone else does". So, is your staff / company implying I'm not only a thief, but an idiot too? I remained calm and factual throughout my conversation while the woman's attitude grew increasingly irritated. I am amazed, as a small business owner myself, about how many companies remain in business with treating customers like the way I was just treated. At the end of the day, I was overcharged $40 +/- dollars, good for your company, I guess you need it more than me. I consider this a small price to pay for a great day on the water with my family. It's the principle of the situation that is really irritating me which will be reflected in my honest review of your establishment and how you treat your customers. Best Regards! As you can imagine, it can get a bit hectic at the docks with multiple boats returning at once, and our crew works hard to keep things running smoothly. That said, I appreciate you bringing it to our attention so we can continue to improve. Regarding the fuel payment, we do inform renters multiple times throughout the process--verbally at check-in, in the confirmation email, and again when the dock crew greets you upon return. That said, I understand how a quick "You're all set" might have been misinterpreted, and I've already spoken with our Dockmaster to make sure the team reinforces the fuel payment and map return instructions more clearly moving forward. According to our records, you did return the map and mentioned you'd be right back to settle up, but unfortunately, we didn't see you again--so the fuel charge was deducted from your deposit. We certainly don't want any part of your experience to feel confusing or frustrating, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Maybe you can check your surveillance cameras too as you and your staff are adamant about me stopping in your office saying I'd return to pay for fuel and then not returning. I am 100% sure you will not see me as I never stepped foot back in your store after returning the boat! I continued straight past the restaurant to my vehicle. I will be all too happy to see you in person to review your video alongside you to stop the lies as I NEVER stopped back in to say I'd pay for fuel and then didn't.     Wow! We called 1 week before Labor Day and the lady said someone just canceled and there was an…read more"ultimate" site available. She said it's the 2nd best campsite on here. Well, she sure was right. Pull in slots and you pull right up to the water. They have boat slips and many sites you can have your bot right in front or on side of your RV. They do not allow tents. The woman who helped me during several phone calls asking for info could not have been more helpful or friendly ! I finally met her to reserve my same site for next years Labor Day because they book up quick (they only have 5 'ultimate' sites, I can't speak on availability on other sites. A quick 5 minute walk and you are over at the Nauti Parrot dock bar which has good food, good drinks, and live music. The only downside is the pool is *very* small. And was full both times we went to go and opted not to. Glass is not allowed but with all the people with Dixie cups / coolers and kids I didn't feel being that crowded in a small-ish pool.

The resort is just beautiful, it's surrounded by water on three sides and the view out our RV window was breathtaking. The pool, grounds and restrooms were always meticulously kept clean. I can't start saying enough good things about the staff, Stephanie (the resort manager), Denise (the office supervisor) and Gary and Kevin (the hardest working men I've ever met) pour their hearts and souls out to make sure your visit is a pleasant experience. We travel a lot and have stayed in many places but this one beats them all. I have to take two injections twice a month for an illness I have. It's shipped on ice and has to be kept cold. I notified Stephanie that it would be arriving the following day. The next morning I had a knock on my RV door, when I opened it Gary handed me my medicine. To me that goes beyond great customer service, it shows they truly care about their guest. Don't let me forget to mention the little tractor. If you don't want to back your travel trailer Gary or Kevin will put it in your spot with the tractor and not leave until you are 100% satisfied that it's exactly where you want it and it's level. In my opinion this is the best RV Resort in the Fort Myers and Sanibel area.
