We put a deposit in a 2021 Sea Fox w/ a 250 Yamaha and today was our demo day .. we could not have been more excited! As we went out on the water, about 50 yards after getting outside the Chanel, the boat completely broke down. Did not even have a moment to get it up on plane! Did I say this is a BRAND NEW boat and motor? The 'rescue' team came to pick us up in another boat to take us back to Marina Mike's. Our salesman, Steve, was apologetic for our experience and gave us our $7K deposit back as requested. The kicker? The GM, a person with absolutely ZERO professionalism or customer service, joked about our experience and cowardly walked back into his office. Not a single attempt at service recovery! Boat buyers beware - Apparently business is all too good for this guy. We come from 30+ years in the customer service business; can I tell you how short lived our careers would have been treating people like we were treated by this GM????? Bought a brand new pontoon Mick was a great salesman but as what happens once you buy something the service is terrible. Ladder broke and smashed my toe, front of boat received damage from wake from another boat so took it in to have parts ordered Told 4 to 6 weeks to get parts. When We got ladder it was used missing a plug so they ordered it now the snap does not stay tight that holds ladder up. Went in yesterday (after the 6 weeks) to check on parts they don't know where they are was suppose to be in on 16th then 18th still not here. Called while there no answer. My husband stopped again today to see what status of parts were since we didn't get phone call. Parts are being made for front of boat. Gate is being sent. They are checking into ladder. We also have problems with gas gauge. They told steve what to check on with another problem with motor. Will see what happens next. read more

We've rented from here three times now and always had an excellent experience. Everyone who works here is really easy going and helpful, I highly recommend coming here for a pontoon or other boat rental. The pontoon boats are a fun way to enjoy a nice day on the water. Each one is a little different. Highly recommend packing food and drinks and lots of sunscreen. We docked at different beaches like Sanibel and Ft Myers Beach the first time but this last time they told us to avoid the gulf due to high winds and waves so we enjoyed lovers key and other areas. We've seen lots of dolphins as well! This is really a nice way to enjoy a sunny day with friends and family! read more

Horrible first boat buying experience, tons of reasons. #1 The trailer they gave me for my boat isn't the correct one for my boat, there's foam 1/2 taped around wood poles holding the boat, the jack to lower and raise the trailer is broken, the wires are loose, and the tires are bald. #2 The live well and two speakers are broken (neither of which were brought to my attention until I drove five hours to pick it up). My salesman said he was authorized to give me $200 to compensate for those two issues. $200 doesn't cover the part or labor to fix the live well, and the speakers are $169 for the pair. #3 The boat was a filthy mess, although they knew I was coming, they didn't bother to prep it or clean it at all. Earlier in the week, they agreed to "remove the old name" and that's exactly what they did. A lone letter and all the glue was just left on the side of the boat. #4 Although, they knew I was coming from five hours away and did arrive a good hour before closing, I was treated very poorly. I was rushed through the walk through and had to beg to be given a test ride. The test ride that I was finally given was with a Captain who smelled like a gallon of Rum. I was given one word answers to all my questions and made to feel like I was beneath them in front of my teenage son. I have contacted the General Manager to express my concerns regarding my experience; however, I was ignored. I would not recommend this establishment read more

My wife and I have been looking for a boat for a couple of years now. We couldn't make up our mind, I wanted fishing, she wanted cruising. Found one of the boats I narrowed down to with lots of upgrades at Marina Mike's. They made everything so easy. Steve, our salesperson, Was great. We went out to try out the boat with Captain Bill, who was very nice, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions The finance person, Greg got us in the price we wanted, which was a few thousand cheaper than anything I could find online. Even the owner, Mike, talked to us to make sure everything was going smooth. They all went above and beyond to make sure this boat was right and had all the extras I wanted installed when I picked it up. I am with those wishing they could leave zero stars or less. This place is trash. I bought a brand new Carolina Skiff from them and immediately had issues. The boat would not plane with just my wife and two daughters on it (none of us are overweight), the trolling motor would short out making it unusable (I was told they used the wrong gauge wire) the aerator for the live-well quit after a few uses, on and on and on. Our very first trip was cut short and we were towed in due to some "electrical wires" incorrectly installed. Every time I bring the boat in for service they hold it for weeks and don't touch it until I make call after call. A couple times I picked it up after two weeks of it just sitting in their lot having done nothing. They continuously try to blame " COVID" for the inefficient inability they should be well known for. My troll motor has never worked correctly. I have noticed that the batteries for the troll motor have had their posts melted and they tried to tell me it wasn't their fault even after the "wrong gauge" wiring they installed. Save yourself years of hassle and DO NOT associate with Marina Mikes. See for yourself or take our advice. read more

There are a lot of boat dealers in Southwest Florida and I would not recommend this one. This is my experience with consigning my boat here: First, they do write up their fee as a percentage of the sale price as a traditional dealership does. This marina makes the seller agree to minimum acceptable amount, which we found to be close to 17%. My boat sold in 25 days and I received a bill of sale for the minimum acceptable amount in the contract-with subtractions. These subtractions included a vessel inspection ($208.50), a trailer inspection ($69.50), shop supplies ($25.02), freight ($13.90), and an EPA hazmat fee ($7.70). Also subtracted from my take home amount was an invoice with an unknown person's name, address, and email. The invoice was for $69.50, which was apparently for the replacement of two screws. An additional invoice included was $127.50 for gas. I questioned the validity of the invoice because it did not contain my name. I was told the gas was for a sea trail and a bench seat was missing two screws, which was not addressed on the invoice given to me (with the wrong name). When I picked up my check, all of these amounts were subtracted from my take home amount. I was especially disappointed with this because I included two high quality anchors with lines, a full sized boat cover, three dock lines, safety equipment in a waterproof bag, life vests, a spare stainless steel propeller in perfect condition, GPS chip, and extra power pole remotes. I was discontented that this dealership made sure to make every dollar of profit at my expense. I was looking for a fair and honest transaction, but I was left astray without reasonable resolve. The salesman, Mick Billings, was dismissive, lacked any customer service initiative, and did not take accountability for mistakes made during this transaction. read more

I personally work in the marine industry and feel as though I should support shops like Marina Mike's but after the awful experience I had with them I would not suggest even stepping foot on their lot. I went down to buy a Carolina Skiff kit boat and was given the wrong part, invited back (2 hrs from home) to receive a broken wrong old part to replace it. The transom on the skiff was cut (brand new boat) too low and crooked. I spent as much time and money fixing their mistakes than that little boat is worth. They were very unprofessional, I cant believe they are still around in such a hard market!!!! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I fell for there "let us sell your boat" scam and took my 2012 Sea Fox to them in April and was told it should sell in a month. I let them set the price $2000 above what I was asking for because they were CONFIDENT they could get it. The first "buyer" wanted $1300 in repairs before he bought it so I ok'd it figuring I was still coming out ahead. They let that deal fall through. Two other deals like this occurred In 8month while my boat rusted and rotted in the summer sun. I just recently picked it up to sell it on my own (making more than they were going to give me) and NONE of the itemized repairs were done including $500 to fix a nav light on a 17 foot boat that still didn't work !!! Bottom line because I was a women they figured they could rob me blind. But they are the ones that have to sleep with their decisions. Do not use these guys for anything read more

This place runs like everything else in Ft Myers Beach. Price is negotiable, pace is slow, service is average. But we got 2 pontoon boats for $200 each for a full day and had a blast. If you get sick of the touristy things then this is a great way to get out on the water and do your own thing. We ran down to Lovers Key about an hour away and saw tons of dolphins. Beached the pontoons at Lovers Key and saw a bunch of crabs. Then ran boats to other end of island and beached at Bowditch Park. That's a great beach just opposite Sanibel. I would use Marina Mike's again but know your boating rules and boat operation because you won't get much help. read more

They gave us a great rate and were very accommodating to our time schedule. Everyone was very friendly and laid back. It was a 4 hour trip from my house so we jumped on it! Requested off work do to the fact no one else even had a Carolina skiff 21 LS! Finally got there, I was givin the wrong price!!! It was actually 49,862! We were pissed drove 4 hours and spent 30 minutes at dealership turned around and drove 4 hours home. Now we're looking everywhere else from Tampa to GA. No one has them. When company comes from out of town, we ALWAYS go to Mike's Marina to rent a pontoon boat for the day. Without fail, it is always the highlight of their FL trip (besides seeing us). What better way to enjoy your family/friends and to see what FL has to offer! We probably rent 2-3 times per year and have recommended to other friends that also now only rent from Mike's Marina. We have never had a bad day. Bring your camera, goodies to eat/drink and plenty of sunscreen. We always end up with a dolphin experience. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. We did have an issue with the seat configuration being incorrect when the boat came in, but Mike took immediate responsibility for the mistake, and allowed us to use the new (wrong) boat until our new re-ordered boat came in a few weeks later. I had marina mikes paint the bottom of my 30 foot grady white boat which only stayed on for about 3 months and had to be redone. When towing the boat to marina mikes they hit the trees, breaking lights on top .They put the boat back in the water (didnt put the plug back in the boat) and sunk my boat. I got back to my dock not knowing till about a hour later when I was going to go out on the boat. I found the plug in the back jumped in the water to put the plug back in the boat. The water was up to my refrigerator in the cabin down below.I called mike and he said go back to the ramp and they pulled it out. He said they went through everything was ok, he said if anything happens he would stand behind it. (lol) Right now my generator is in the shop costing me $5000.00 dollars to rebuild it .Mike turned the story around saying I didnt do the maintenance on the generator. The repair shop said it is definitely because the unit was under water.marina mikes also did the maintance on my motors and lower units putting the wrong spark-plugs in the motors and the plugs were only hand tightened. marina mike put the seals in the lower units backwords causing water in the lower units which cost me $1500.00 dollars in damage . They are supposed to be a certfied yamaha dealer. I came to find out he also screwed over 2 of my neighbors on there boats . To make things really sad mike is our neighbor ,stay away from marina mikes if you know whats good for you. they dont know what they are doing and very unprofessional. read more

My wife and I did a lot of research on pontoon boats. We weren't real familiar with them as we've always had "regular" boats but determined that a pontoon would be the best for our needs down here in Florida. After going to several shows and dealers, we chose to go with Mike's. Great decision! We love the boat and could not be happier with Marina Mikes. The price was the best we got and EVERYONE we have dealt with has been great from sales to service tech. After a few weeks we decided to add an option that they had never done. RJ and Valerie in service weren't hesitant and actually excited about it. The tech, Kyle, could not have been more accommodating and concerned about doing the best job possible. They were more than fair with the pricing as they charged me the estimated hours (from the manufacturer) rather than what the first time installation actually took, which was substantially more. Each delivery driver and sea trial captain, Bill, were so nice and equally thorough! I can't say enough about this place been dealing with marinas and yacht yards for over 40 years and these people are at the top of my list! read more
