San's Donuts has some of the most flavorful donuts I have ever tasted. More similar to Shipleys than Dunkin or Krispy Kreme, they are light and fluffy with a delicious glaze. The insides are often a little doughy, with a slight crunch beneath the delicious glaze. If you order a dozen donut holes, don't be surprised if they give you north of fifteen. Unlike competitors, "one dozen" does not mean exactly twelve (for which I am SO grateful). Chocolate icing tastes different than other donut places too, it's less firm and more chocolate-y, really melts in your mouth. Bear claws are to die for, and the cinnamon rolls are well worth the calories. I like the kolaches (much better than Shipleys); expect a soft, pillowy dough with a slight honey taste to enfold your choice of sausage, ham and cheese. Not sure how they keep all of their drinks stocked so well, but I sure am glad they do! Strawberry milk? You betcha! They have a ton of cool juices and every soda you can think of; my mother also adores their coffee. read more

Have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Donuts and sandwiches are always tasty and fresh. My latest discovery here is their maple- bacon donut. This is the sweet/salty thing perfected. Staff is always friendly and usually chatty. I never feel rushed. A certain big national chain that I have enjoyed for years recently opened nearby. I will go there on occasion but, San's personal service and quality are top notch and will also have my support. read more

Delish!!! The jalapeño donut is a MUST! Donuts were light, fluffy, and had the right amount of sweetness on them!

Below average. The kolaches are nothing special to me - they weren't even properly warmed up, and the bread is very generic. Many donut flavors (even pumpkin spice) but again, they just weren't that great. It's a solid stop if you don't have a go to place here but the ladies inside weren't very friendly so it rates pretty poorly compared to others nearby. read more

Real nice place, close to the house. Their donuts and kolaches are very good with plenty of flavors and styles to choose from! We usually always get a dozen half plain glazed, and half chocolate covered. They have lots of others to pick from to satisfy your desires! They also have breakfast sandwiches if that's what you would like that are very good. The kolaches come in several different varieties as well. The staff here is always very friendly and very helpful. If your in a hurry they also have a drive through window that you can use! They also accept credit cards as well. This has been kind of our go to place since moving here almost 8 years ago. The wife will usually come here on the weekends for the kids, or if we have company for a quick breakfast fix!!! They are a great place for picking up breakfast for on the way to work, they open at 4:30am. So stop in and grab some to take to your buddies at work!!! read more

Due to the annoying traffic situation at the Shipley's in League City, I decided to seek out a new donut shop. I've tried their kolaches, maple bacon donut (very very good!), donut holes and cinnamon twist. Loved their donuts, not a huge fan of their kolaches. The dough they use is just too sweet for my taste. My husband, on the other hand, loves them so it's definitely a matter of taste. Overall, a solid choice for a decent selection of tasty donuts. read more

I usually order donuts and/or kolaches. Glazed donuts are great here. Chocolate glazed donuts are good too, but, like most bakeries, the chocolate glaze has more of a sugar flavor and not much of a chocolate taste. The only place I've come across a chocolate glaze that actually tastes like chocolate are the ones made at any Randall's grocery store (only 50¢,delicious). The small jalapeño-cheese kolaches are fantastic! They have lots of chopped jalapeños in every bite with great Ekrich sausage that's not too salty. My favorite ones are made at Kolache Factory and these are comparable. The only problem is San's runs out of them early. Wish they would make enough to last until at least 12:15pm. I personally do not like the jumbo jalapeño-cheese kolaches. They're not made like the small ones. There aren't any sliced jalapeños and cheese surrounding the sausage so the flavor is nothing like the small version. Instead, the jalapeños and cheese are incorporated within the sausage. It hardly tastes spicy. And guess what. They never sell out! There are always a few, unlike the small ones. Service is good. read more

I've been going here for years, but no more. The younger lady typically overcharges a bit and rounds to a whole dollar amount. However, the last few times it's been more like $2. I don't mind tipping, but would prefer to have that option myself. When I confronted her on it, she chalked it up to tax, which is not correct and then rounded down a dollar. I really can't deal with that nonsense any more, so I'm done. I can't imagine how they file their state and income tax forms with all that guesswork at point of sale. read more
