A different dentist messed up a root canal on one of my teeth. My tooth was going to die and would need to be pulled and I would need an implant. A new dentist referred me to Santa Clarita Endodontix. They said they could do a small procedure that should save the tooth. They cut threw the gum and did a root canal from the top to bottom with a microscope, and it looks like they saved my tooth :) Didn't feel a thing during the procedure and it feels fine the next day. read more

BE AWARE, unfortunately I went for a root canal. I was recommended by Santa Clarita Smiles which tends to be a decent facility. I came to this place because it was convenient but it's definitely expensive and people there tend to dismiss your situation. A few months later I'm now having issues with my root canal. I went for a check up and had a CT SCAN done and I was told everything was fine and no sign of infection. I paid a ridiculous amount of money almost $500.00 to be told nothing is wrong. Now I'm having other symptoms and going to another Endodontix to fix their mistake and what they fail to fix and understand. They need to be held complaint because other people had similar problems or worse. Earlier this week I had severe onset of tooth pain - like the most painful experience I have yet to endure for my teeth & my dentist suspected I needed a root canal so I got shipped here. I was able to see Dr. Sara Soumeeh and even though I'm an adult I was scared shiiitless but she was incredibly patient, empathetic and thorough with explaining the process. She put me at ease as this was my first root canal. I really didn't think I would make it through the week so I am incredibly grateful she was able to see me as a STAT add on. There is one hefty consultation fee added to your bill that insurance does not cover at all or at least mine did not. That's probably the only setback. Beware! I went to Dr Sara Soumeeh for a root canal and am now having to pay thousands of dollars for another endodontist to fix her mistake. Dr Soumeeh has an abrasive personality but I went ahead with the procedure anyway. Unfortunately for me, her aggressive force broke an instrument, DIAGONALLY, in my tooth. I wasn't told of this mistake until I was leaving the exam room. When I was trying to understand what was being said to me, I asked two questions 1) will the instrument be removed and 2) will it cause pain. Dr Soumeeh's answer was "you signed a consent form". (Note: I signed my name on a pad at reception but never saw the consent form until I was leaving the office). This one visit to Dr Soumeeh has caused me so much physical, emotional and financial distress. Please don't go to her! read more

I recently took my seven-year-old son to see Dr. Sara Soumeeh, at Santa Clarita Endodontics, and I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. The experience was incredibly disappointing and left both my son and me feeling upset and uncomfortable. We had been referred from Baywood Dental, where we'd always had excellent experiences. The staff at Baywood are incredibly caring and attentive, especially when it comes to children. Unfortunately, they didn't offer the specific procedure my son needed, so they referred us to Santa Clarita Endodontics. When we arrived at Santa Clarita Endodontics, the assistant asked to take my son into the room alone to take an X-ray. She said she would bring him right back, but I felt uneasy about letting him go alone, so I requested to stay with him. The assistant seemed irritated by my request, but she proceeded to take the X-ray. The X-ray slide she used was too big for his mouth and caused him pain, which made him cry. Instead of showing empathy or trying to comfort him, the assistant stood over him with her arms crossed, making him feel even more uncomfortable. As I tried to coax my son into opening his mouth for a second X-ray, the technician warned that if he couldn't cooperate, he would have to be put under anesthesia. This was alarming, especially since he had undergone a similar procedure at Baywood just a week earlier without any issues. The Baywood staff had been so understanding and patient, and my son hadn't been nervous or cried at all. When Dr. Sara Soumeeh, finally came in, she was rude and abrasive. She immediately started talking about anesthesia, saying it would cost $1,800 per hour if my son couldn't cooperate. I felt pressured and uncomfortable. I asked if there was another way to take the X-ray since the slide they were using was too big. I had previously asked the technician about this, and she had said they only had tools for adults. Dr. Sarah then contradicted the technician, saying they could do a baby X-ray. This made me feel like the technician had lied, and I expressed my concern about the conflicting information. The entire experience at Santa Clarita Endodontics was terrible. Dr. Sara Soumeeh, in particular, lacked empathy and bedside manner when it came to working with children. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won't be taking my son back there. It's disheartening to have such a negative experience, especially after having such positive experiences with Baywood Dental. read more

I was in excruciating pain and assistant Giovanni helped me with my anxiety. Everyone at this office made me feel at ease and are so friendly. the first time i went in for a consultation Dr. Soumeeh was rushing and rude. then the actual procedure she was mean and yelled at me when asking if i had a pharmacy and rushed me into picking one while her hands were in my mouth. then she shoved the needle to numb me without even warning me and just open my mouth and bam gave me the shot. after that she was quick with the procedure and a little more nicer but overall she wasn't nice and gave me anxiety and made me actually cry in her office when she left after yelling at me. probably will ask for another referral from my primary dentist if i need more stuff done because this wasn't enjoyable read more

I came here under my dentists recommendation for a root canal. It was my first one so I was quite nervous. Let me start off by saying that Dr. Soumeeh was awesome: 5/5! She was so patient and explained every step of the process to me clearly so that I was at ease and understood what she was doing. She (metaphorically) held my hand throughout the entire process and gave me peace of mind. The actual root canal procedure was very quick (15-20min) and relatively painless. I'm recovering well the day after (just some soreness) and don't really need to take pain medication (which is huge for me because I have a low pain tolerance). What I docked off a star for was how relatively disorganized the front office was. I had mentioned I wanted laughing gas several times before the procedure (on the phone the day before, on the day of when I checked in), and they still somehow forgot to include this. I had to get out of the dental chair, walked back out, and sign some additional papers. I was here from 1PM-2:30PM through all the waiting and paper signing even though the actual procedure was 15-20min. If the front was more organized and had everything ready to go, this would be a 5/5 place for me. read more

The best experience at a dental office I've had. They have a great looking office that was clean and modern. The front office staff was very nice and thorough. They sent paperwork ahead of the appointment which allowed us to get started as soon as I arrived. The Dr's assistant got started right away with X-Rays and he was awesome making sure I was comfortable. The procedure itself went very well. I was nervous and tense at the start, but the Dr was great at communicating every step, making sure that I was comfortable during the whole process. Yaritza at the front desk went above and beyond. I had billing concerns and even though she had contacted the insurance company ahead of time, she jumped on the phone with the insurance company on the spot to double check all the coverages. Ladies up-front practicing bait and switch strategy, straight up something out of a used car dealership. They are really good at it, too, with all the excuses under the sun from a typical slow/outdated billing computer to price varies based on the insurance policy And if you refuse their new billing update, they will yank your kid right out of the dental chair, this almost happened to me today. In my long lifetime, I have never written a yelp for anyone other than this clinic. Two years ago, I had such a good time in Dr. Vohara's chair, I decided to return for another visit. Last the doctor performed four root canals on my mouth, I felt absolutely no pain--none whatsoever. Doctor Vohara has the touch of an angel. This office is beyond the six star review. Every time I call, a friendly person answers the phone. When GPS landed me lost, I called to ask for directions, and was led directly to their office. When calling, I have never reached a recording telling me how important my call is. I have never been asked by a robot to push buttons. I have never been put on hold for more than a minute, and no advertising or scratchy music blared in my ear. Most unusual. They make me feel like I am in the 60s--the decade of service--not my age. I cannot say enough good about this clinic. From the drive in beautiful arboreal Santa Clarita, to the abundant free parking, to the sparkling clean glass building and office, to the friendly staff, this place is more fun than a visit to Disneyland, where are you have to pay $50 for a wheelchair rental, plus a $50 deposit. That was the last time I struggled in lines at the happiest place on earth, (20 years ago,) so now it's probably $200. When I had an 11 o'clock appointment with Dr. Vohara, I was seen at 11 o'clock. My dog Pokey, always present at doctor and dental exams, wishes Santa Clarita, Endodontix would do crowns, implants, cleaning, and dog walking services. read more
