In December 2025, I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office overall. The entire practice felt disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. Appointments did not run on time, and communication from the front desk was unclear and inconsistent. I did not feel that patients were treated with respect for their time, and the overall experience felt rushed and poorly managed. The level of care and customer service did not meet expectations for a medical/dental office. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice and will not be returning. read more

Ok - nobody ever wants to have to get major tooth work done- but if I do, I want to be seen somewhere where everyone is nice and I feel cared for even though I'm a big fraidy cat. I was referred here because I was having tooth pain. My first visit I was able to be seen very quickly and yes, I had an issue that would need to be addressed with a root canal and then a cap at my dentist. The first appointment for work was scheduled several weeks ahead of time- I get it they are busy and people had appointments before me. In a perfect world I would have liked to get started sooner but what is more important to me is getting it done correctly. Everyone from the front desk to the assistants to my endodontist -Dr song were so nice. Dr song went over his recommendations and explained what would be going on. I have only ever had one other root canal and that was at a dentist. Fyi - a root canal at an endodontist is way more involved - but that is what they specialize in. I told Dr song my concern - what I would be in pain during the procedure and he made sure I was not. No complaints on the care provided and everyone in the office was great. However, not so much with the billing. I had a bit over $700 remaining on my yearly dental insurance. They would not consider that and made me pay 100% of the bill. They were able to use my insurance two weeks prior when I had a previous root canal. I do not understand why. I told them about the remaining balance to no avail. Due to the unexpected out of pocket cost I had to defer other medical care. Even though they say that they will credit me, it will not reverse these negative consequences. read more

Dr. Han is GREAT! I have a very abnormal physiology that makes it difficult to truly numb me but I didn't feel a thing with Doctor Han. I thought a root canal was going to be so much worse than it really was. When Doctor Mower referred me to Doctor Han I was obviously very nervous as I have never needed any kind of dental work to this degree before. However, his office staff was friendly and they are obvious specialists. Dr. Han even agreed to come into the office early one day for my follow up so I could travel out of the country in time. I suspect that very few people really enjoy the dental chair. I really hate going to the dentist and once went three years without doing so. But when I went a completely sleepless night with excruciating tooth pain, I could hardly wait to get some help. I started at my dentist (the amazing Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry) and was sent to Apical Endodontics for an emergency root canal. I cannot say enough about Dr. Julia Jeong, DMD. First of all, thank you to the entire team to getting me in on a busy Friday. I did not want to go through the entire weekend with such pain. Dr. Jeong was so compassionate from the first moment and then took her time walking me through the differential diagnosis and the range of treatment options and timing. The dental assistant (I'm so sorry I missed her name) listened to my desire for frequent suctioning and stayed on top of it throughout the entire process. What happened to this place!? They were decent last year and now i have to wait nearly two months between sessions. Today I got called to show up 30 minutes early, which I did. I ended up waiting 40 minutes before I was seen!!!! Why would you call a patient to show up early only to wait longer!! The place looked grosss too! I waa referred to him when my new dentist noticed a previous root canal that was not completed from 20÷ years ago with a medical file broken inside. I needed to get a root canal re-treatment and was referred to Dr. Christopher Chun. He did such an awesome job and was super nice! He told me that it was going to take 2 appointments to fix it, on the second one however he said he would need one more. I was not worried because he knows what's best. Throughout the procedure, there was no pain at all which was a relief. He was also very good at making sure you're relaxed and explaining the whole procedure which gave me peace of mind. I woke up with so much pain in my mouth and felt sick. I called Dr. Weber the best dentist ever and he got me in that day. He took X-rays and saw that my molar was abscessed. He said I needed a root canal.oh joy! I hate root canals , they hurt! He assured me that Dr. David Han was different and guaranteed me I would be glad I went to him. Since I respect Dr. Weber because He is a Man of God I did as he said. He called and asked them to take me now. I went grudgingly but I'm glad I did. Amazing care! My second treatment done by Dr. Han and his staff and I have to say I will never go anywhere else for my root canals. From his front office staff (Deidra, Sarah, and Crystal) to his amazing assistant Alyssa. I felt so well taken care of. Dr Han is a busy doctor for a reason but they were able to get me in and out of pain very quickly. When I tell you I was in agony before and then felt instant relief after I was injected is an understatement. I suffer from TMJ disorder and Dr Han took the time to make sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure. His assistant was thorough and took great care suctioning (I am a big drooler). I began experiencing a toothache and made an appointment to see my dentist who quickly determined that I needed 2 root canals. My dentist set me up with their "go to" endodontist. Dr. Gim's office agreed to see me at 6:10 pm that same day which is after their normal business hours. I was scared out of my mind as I never had a root canal done. Dr. Gim started treating me at 6:30 pm and was finished by 7:15 pm. I didn't experience any pain during or after the root canal. He and his staff (Aricely, Nicole) made me feel as comfortable as one can be under the circumstances. Today is 4 days after the root canal and my teeth feel great. I can't thank them enough. Dr. Gim shares the same office as Dr. David Han and Dr. Christopher Chun. For those who care about the office itself, it's very modern and clean. read more

If a mouth is a canvas, these people would know where to paint! This place is complete trash. Let me start with Dr.Kim, no doubt this lady is very nice and has a good heart. But her skill and work is not good at all. She leaves you completely bruised after shaking your cheek vigorously while getting the shot, and is not gentle(no finesse) while working on your mouth. Most pain I've ever had while in post root canal work(I've had 4). On the one tooth she worked on, I had to make 2 visits.. on the second visit she broke a took off in my root and spent 45 mins trying to get it out .... Without me knowing until she patched me up with a temp filling. I know have to return for a third time to get this tool out of my tooth... you'd think this is a liability lol Main reason for this review is not Dr.Kim. I visited today on an emergency and saw Dr.Gim... this man shouldn't have the keys to own a business. True colors were shown today, I feel sorry for anyone that thinks this is a good guy and can properly do business with him. You can see greed for in his eyes and a mouth full of lies. I highly suggest that if you're in an emergency like I was, to take the time and find another location. No doubt everyone has there own experience and every experience is different in good and bad ways. This is just a warning to avoid this location. I highly recommend Dr. David Han at Apical Endodontics for root canal and related endodontic treatment services. He is very knowledgeable, skilled and efficient in diagnosing and treating endodontic issues, from my experience. He treated me for an incomplete prior root canal (performed elsewhere) that had been slowly swelling inside my gum for years. He immediately and accurately diagnosed the problem from an x-ray, and was able to treat it in 2 sessions, which were much more efficient and less painful than other endodontic treatments I've experienced. Dr Han fit me in for an emergency consult due to pain on the day I called and determined I had an abscess and infected tooth, needing root canal. He was able to do it immediately so I could travel out of town for a funeral. He was fast and professional and I was so thankful to have it fixed. I previously had a root canal four years ago with Dr Chun and he also did a great job. Very satisfied. Only thing is there is zero cell signal at this office and no wifi. I can not speak on the work they do as I did not continue with treatment nor did I meet with the Doctor. I was going for a consultation to see if a root canal would be needed due to an on and off toothache. I made my appointment over the phone and and the staff was nice. My issue is they didn't call me to inform me of my $190 consultation fee prior to my arrival. They had the information on a note and waited until I arrive to tell me. I also called before my appointment because a was running a few minutes late and still no mention. Transparency goes a long way. Had they been up front about the consultation cost I would have been more inclined to continue with the process. read more

My entire review will be under Apical Endodontics. I STRONGLY suggest you do not use this endodontist. He is an arrogant bully whose only concern is money to the point that I now have to go to another practice to get a 2nd consult. This is because I believe Dr Gim may have decided(of his own accord and without using logic or information provided to him) that my tooth 'needed' to be extracted because he decided(incorrectly) that I couldn't pay. This was despite the fact that I told them I would pay everything(and extra just in case) up front on the day of the actual root canal and I had my debit card out and ready to do so at my appointment on the 15th. When an endodontist chooses to harangue a patient who is in pain to the point he causes them to begin to cry, well....Maybe 7-11 does root canals? It would be a better choice. read more

I had an early appointment for a root canal. The Doctor and his assistant were very professional, caring, skilled and regularly told me what they were doing and asked how I was. They showed me the x-rays. It was almost painless, with only a slight pinch from the painkilling shot. The office is very clean and efficient. I had very little discomfort after the procedure and after a few Advil, no pain. The next day I had no pain unless I mistakenly bit on that side. I've had 2 root canals done at this location and words cannot Express how amazing this team is. I am HIGHLY nervous when it comes to dental work and require sedation. The pre-op procedures were easy enough to follow. Check in and take medication 1 hour and a half before the appointment procedure. Have someone you trust to pick you up. And they take care of all the hard part. In both root canal appointments I had, everything went smoothly. During the procedure I didn't feel anything, let alone remember anything. They placed a warm blanket on me, adjusted my head rest, closed the window treatment and told me they will be back to check in on me. I don't remember anything else after that. I don't remember leaving the dental office, which I was told that I was wheelchaired out. Thank goodness the front staff confirms pick up arrangements before any thing is done My friend took me to my first appointment and she told me I was completely out of it. She even came to the house to check on me several times and I was out for the count. My husband took me to my second appointment and he kept telling me stories of what happened and I can't recall any of it. I guess that's the good thing. After my root canal, I spent the rest of the day sleeping off the medication. Once I woke up I felt rested and hungry. I immediately asked for my In-N-Out and called it an evening. With all that said, I HIGHLY recommend Apical Endodontics for oral surgery procedure - especially root canals. read more

I saw Dr. Han the first time in 2015 for an Urgency/emergent root canal. I have had root canals before & have a fear of oral surgeons/root canals. He is so kind/gentle/cares. I swore by him and his team. Fast forward to 12/2022 & a routine xray showed a problem with a root canal done by another endodontist. Another trip to Dr. Han, started part 1 of a 2 part process root canal redo. Tonight my temporary crown popped off while eating and I called the office immediately, at 4:45 pm on a Friday. They told me to come immediately and they took care of and put it back on. I cannot say enough about this team/office and how good they are. Dr. Han is very kind/gentle/caring. A dentist must foremost be caring, compassionate, and competent. When any of these are lacking, one must think carefully. I had a consult with Dr. Gim (July 2021). After his assistant took the x-ray of my tooth and I sat waiting, he ordered a CT x-ray without even waking in to look at what she took (maybe he viewed it from another room). He sauntered in approx. 30 minutes after my appointment time and did not apologize for being tardy. He just picked up my paperwork, and started to speak without even looking at me. We had never met. To him, perhaps, I was just a number. He rushed through his recommendations, and after I said I did not have questions, he disappeared around the corner in a flash leaving me to find my way to the front office to pay for the appointment. Needless to say, I would never trust such a rude, uncaring, arrogant person in my mouth. But it didn't start with him. In 2015, another dentist in that same office, Dr. Han, had done a root canal on the same tooth for which I found myself back in the office in July 2021. Since that root canal, my gum had never felt or looked right but I dealt with it over the the years because I did not want my gum cut open again after the awful experience I had had. Here is what happened: While Han was friendly enough, I found him to be unprofessional. With my gum flap cut wide open while stuck in a chair, he and his assistant talked over my mouth the entire time, about an upcoming weekend vacation to Big Bear...I can't recall which one was going. I remember hoping they were paying attention but I felt very helpless while they planned their weekend over my mouth agape. In addition, He gave me so much Novocaine all at once that my heart was racing out of control. When I told him, he just said it was normal. I disagree. When I went back for him to remove stitches, he noted that he was "surprised" my gum flap had not come back all the way down over my front tooth. I didn't even care, I just wanted to be done. My dentist recently referred be back here, and I must be a glutton for punishment to have gone back for a consult, but I hoped Gim would have won me over. What in fact happened was that his poor bedside manners and what I felt was advice that was not honest, sent me the message loud and clear. I care about my health too much; therefore, I will look elsewhere. It's fine that others had good experiences but my criteria as stated above are quite stringent. One positive note is that the girl who took my x-rays was friendly and sweet. The girl in the office however seemed to hate her job. While she wasn't rude, she could not have cared less whether my visit was great or not. read more
