The work and bedside manner was mediocre but they charged my insurance AND sent me another HUGE bill for just one root canal. That made me very hesitant to find another dental clinic out here.) I am a 60 year old male who has had serious anxiety all my life when you mentioned the word dentist, doctor Kim has changed my whole belief system. When it comes down to dentistry she is so kind and so nice and very gentle and takes all of my questions and problems into consideration without even a second hought. When I go to the dentist's office, there are three things that I look for: a clean, up-to-date procedural area, a professional, knowledge staff, and a pain-free experience. Dr. Kim and the staff at Cinema Dental check all the marks. Here's my experience. I went to a local dentist earlier but had a terrible experience. With some recommendations from my friends, I went to Cinema Dental, which is almost an hour away, because I wanted to have the best dental work that I can receive. I was not disappointed. I had my root canal finished in a few hours, and it was pain-free. When I went back for additional procedures on the same tooth (Root Canals tend to take 3-4 visits to finish), Dr. Kim had a comprehensive, cost-effective plan and presented the plan to me in a way that is easy to understand. Perhaps one of the best dental clinics I've been to. Lets start with the location. Parking is extremely convenient and once entering the place, you'll find yourself in a nicely, well-kept, and friendly atmosphere. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. I went in to get my wisdom teeth removed since they were impacted and I was terrified. Dr. Kim was amazing and she put all my concerns at ease. She explained everything and took lots of time to make me feel comfortable. She even took the time to call and check up on the healing process. I would rate this less than one star if I could. Doctor refuses to re-treat any work she's done. This is a problem because her work on my mouth failed multiple times and she refused to correct it although I told her I was in pain. The doctor performed half a root canal on me and didn't fill the canals, leaving it to rot and me to suffer -- she ignored my specific instructions not to perform this treatment, which she, a dentist and not an endodontist, was not professionally qualified to do. She refused to re-work a cavity she filled even though I told her for years it was painful, saying I have an "emotional trauma regarding that tooth." Well, that tooth is now the THIRD tooth which she worked on and subsequently refused to fix that needs a root canal due to incomplete or shoddy work. I have good dental hygiene and I go to the dentist four times a year -- if my dentist were even slightly competent, I would not be in pain and going bankrupt having treatment for teeth she supposedly "fixed." The same thing has happened to other members of my family at this dentist as well. Avoid. read more
