Yummers! Get the El Salvidorian food. It is definately the best in the area. The place is usually busy and the service is good.

Ordered 2 burritos and 3 tacos waited for them then drove home They only gave us 1 burrito when I called to tell them they started. Arguing with me that I ordered beans and cheese lettuce and tomato but no burrito my daughter both told we want 2 burritos nothing on the side.instead of telling ok and just making us one I had to drive down and give them the side of beans back just to get my 2 bucks back they weren't even going to give me the tax I paid nor did they ever even give me a receipt Worse customer service ever.they also charged for avocado 2 bucks for 1 little side-- food not high quality read more

The seafood burrito was great and this place is affordable. You get free chips and salsa when you sit down like any proper Mexican restaurant should so that was great. Their queso is translated as "cheese sauce" on the menu which made us skeptical but it was actually pretty good! None of that velveta crap you get at some places. read more

Food is subpar. Ordered tacos and not much meat in them. The worst part of this place is the service. There are many people that work there walking around but no one has any interest in giving any type of decent customer service. Our waitress disappeared for around 30 minutes and we asked three people for a drink refill and they either said they were not our waitress or acted like they did not speak English. None of them bothered to get our waitress, either. Will never go back this place. There are plenty of other places in Frederick with much better food and service. read more

My boyfriend's margarita was weak and watery. My Maracuyá juice was very sweet (it's supposed to be a tart flavor) and also very watered down. Tasted more like crystal light. We shared the ceviche mixto, which was very tasty. However, the rest of the food was so bland. He had the grilled salmon w grilled shrimp. The salmon had no flavor and his beans were very salty. I had the fish tacos. Again, not much seasoning on the fish but the beans tasted like they were 50% salt. On the positive side, prices were fair and our server was great. I just wish the food were more authentic. We've traveled extensively through Mexico and found that this menu mostly caters to Americans instead of presenting dishes that represent the wide array of flavors, sauces and ingredients from Mexico. read more

Many mexican places to choose from in the area, so let's start with the off the top point-getters: 1- the salsa is fantastic, chunky and well-seasoned, and 2- the service was impeccable. We were a table of 6 w/ people coming and going at different times (and separate checks), and our waitress covered half the house and ran her tail off keeping everybody happy, with a smile. The combinacion A appetizer plate is a winner- got the veg. pupusa, corn tamal, and a nice sized portion of deliciously carmelized plaintain. My steak tacos al carbon (flame-grilled) were very tasty, the rice and refried beans too, the platter just could've used a little more lettuce, pico, and guac. The happy hour margaritas were very good too, but there didn't seem to be a huge discount in price. A little hard to find in the dark, they need better signage, but it's directly behind Wa-Wa. My son and I ate at Santa Rosa a couple of weeks ago. The food was amazingly delicious, the service was warm and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The pupusas were recommended to me by a student who grew up eating them in El Salvador, so I'll take his word on the authenticity of the cooking. read more

We were so lucky to have found this place. The food was amazing! It is a little off of the beaten path, tucked away in the corner of a shopping mall but was visible from our hotel. I had the bean and cheese pupusas, curtado and plantains. It was impossible for me to eat it all. It was so delicious I wanted to go back the next day before my vacation was over. Wow. Disappointed says it all. I ordered a chicken dish that was on the menu under Salvadorean specialties. It had no special seasoning, and I suspect that the restaurant is "dumbing down" to suit the kind of folks who order Thai and Indian food mildly spiced. If I do go back, and that's unlikely, I will ask that my food NOT be prepared for the gringo palate. read more

First trip and pleasantly surprised. The salsa was really good, so good that we even asked the waitress if they sold it, and she looked at us like we were crazy haha. The cheese dip wasn't to our liking, we like the white cheese dip and theirs is yellow and tasted like nacho dip. My husband and I order the enchiladas (cheese, beef, and chicken) and they were all very good and flavorful. My children order the Mac and Cheese and said it was dry and gross. My husband and I really enjoyed it though, we will probably be back, just save it for a date night and skip the cheese dip. :-) read more

This place is located a block from my work and we eat there every 2 weeks. It was redone a few years ago and is very clean decorated nicely. The lunch menu is great--the chicken fajitas are a real deal at $7.99 for more than you can eat. The service is fast and drink refills never lag. The salsa is spectacular and I often buy it to take home. read more

I have tried this restaurant for the third time and each time was underwhelmed by the entree. This last time we were overcharged for our Happy Hour margarita. When I approached the waitress about the error she stated she gave us the "large" size. We were NOT given the large size... I measured the ounces. Will not be going back! read more

This Restaurant though clean may have good food, I however would not know. As I am a disabled women with a service dog and as I was waiting to be seated with my dog and husband, I was told they will not allow my dog in the restaurant. I provided his papers and the law information which states that it is illegal to kick us out. The female employee argued with me and my husband and told us they would not allow it. I asked for the manager and she said he was not in and he would not allow it either. I stated and tried to show her the laws and the phone numbers they can call to get more information that it is ILLEGAL and I can call the cops and force her to seat us however, not wanting to create more of a scene and with her telling us to leave we did so. SO for any of my fellow disabled Vets I'm sorry they do not honor our service to our country and sacrifices we have made, they do not follow our American laws and do not have respect for the disabled. NO they do not allow Dogs service dogs or not in their restaurant. Can we say BOYCOTT! I ask that all my brothers and sisters who are appalled by this behavior to think 2x before eating here. read more
