Discharged 4 hours after major surgery. Should have been sent to another facility to monitor for 24 to 48 hours. Service dog died in less than 24 hours....bled out! If they could not keep they should have sent elsewhere for surgery or for post op care. read more

This is the BEST place to take your pet. I brought my Rottweiler to them believing that he had a broken paw or perhaps something in his foot. The entire staff were very professional and understanding during the entire visit. I brought Sampson in for a injured foot, but the diagnosis from the x-rays determined that he had metastatic incurable shoulder cancer. I am a surgery nurse. I can read x-rays. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was correct. I was in shock. The doctor gave me all of my options; surgery, amputation to the shoulder with death in 6 months, take him home with pain pills, or euthanasia. While I cried my eyes out I opted for euthanasia. I held his paw and rubbed his belly while he went peacefully to sleep. But the staff was great. Very professional. Very accommodating and understanding. What a wonderful and friendly vet office we have here in Milton. We started taking our guinea pigs here because they were the only clinic that would treat them. Then we added our cat, and now I have my golden doodle seeing the vet. I have always been treated very well, never had to wait, and the pricing is acceptable. I highly recommend them. read more

We love the clinic here. They take excellent care of our miniature poodle! Hes 15 yrs old, and requires medication for hip pain. They are very good about doing blood work every 3 months, to make sure med is not effecting his liver. So far..so good. Our baby thinks he's a puppy again, running and wanting to play! Coco is always calm and happy when the techs take him back for bloodwork and the Vet is just amazing at keeping him calm through his exam. I would reccomend this facility to anyone asking about a vet in Milton. Thank each and ever one of ya'll that work there! You ALL are very much in my prayers for the work you do. I really don't understand where the negative reviews come from for this vet. This has been the absolute BEST vet for us. Ark animal hospital was terrified of my cat because he hissed at them(scared cats typically do lol) and refused to do bloodwork to start treatment when my cat went into keto acidosis from diabetes. Santa Rosa vet clinic got him in, prescribed an appropriate medication for his future appointments to help calm him, and have been phenomenal in treating him for his diabetes. All 5 of our pets are patients here now. My diabetic cats brother had a dental here and got about half his teeth removed and the surgery went phenomenal, they kept us updated, and his recovery was smooth. They even called to check up on him. We've also had our female dog spayed here and same results, always top tier. We did just move back to cantonment from Milton and it's a 45 minute drive now, but you can bet I'm going to continue going to this vet as long as we can. They're top tier. read more

UPDATE, they fired my mother and her 3 pets, as if she hadn't already found a new vet after the way they treated her. And the best is after my review I received a FB personal message to me from their employee Connie Pinto who apparently is so aware that she was in the wrong that she wanted to argue her point. According to her I wouldn't write bad reviews if I just find Jesus. Who knew? Connie Pinto, Beth Paulsen and Lacretia AKA NUGS( was that her name in jail?) are 3 of the most miserable people I've ever dealt with. They are rude, short and completely unwilling to be helpful. My 87 year old mother and her twin sister have been bringing their pets to them for 15 years. They say "we don't deal with chewy, you must come to the office and get the RX in hand". Keep in mind their vet is the one who prescribed the food and this is just an RX yearly renewal. "Okay, since my mother has a flip phone and is completely technically challenged can you email it to me so I can then upload the photo to the chewy account so my mother doesn't have to mail it to me as I'm in Tampa" "Nope, we don't email prescriptions ". "okay, after you hand it to her can someone take a photo of it and text or email that to me". "How can I take a photo of it from my desktop"? I know they're in Milton and most of their employees are probably limited but that's ridiculous. It's almost as if they are deliberately trying to make your life more difficult. So then I ask "well do you have that food in stock". Nope. It's like dealing with Larry, Moe and Curly. I hope Dr Padgett and his wife Christine King Padgett didn't spend to much on buying that practice because they're running it into the ground. You don't ever treat my mother like that!!! read more

If you value the life of your pet, RUN AWAY!!!! We were customers of SRVC since 2006 to 2022. This is a short (lol) review from my 13-years experience working with Santa Rosa Vet. Since Dr. Padgett bought this clinic from Dr. Smith (about 2019) it is in a mad dash to being the worst Vet clinic in the FL panhandle. This is too bad for the people working there. Most are nice but not all; the newer crowd is more like Padgett (maybe family?) in that they seem to believe we are there to help them (WTF?). Dr. Padgett is clinically narcissistic and values his feeling and ego well above the health of your pet. As a pet parent, if you challenge him or stand up to him; he will refuse care to your pet. But worse yet, he will call other Vets in the area in an attempt to black ball you (as he did with me). All because I disagreed with him and wanted to talk with the orthopedic surgeon before making a decision. In my case, Dr. Padgett called Dr. Montgomery (Davis Ortho) over the night. I suspect, right after our spat. Because the next morning, before office hours, I get an email from Dr. Montgomery refusing to continue care for my pup. No other explanation; but even a dumb pet parent like me can figure this one out. Additionally, Dr. Padgett sent me all my pet records and a short note saying "goodbye and good luck". No phone call just the records and told his staff not to take our calls, either. Then, I guess he didn't think I would read his notes. I was AMAZED at the number of lies in his notes. Complete rewrites to discussions we had and visits made. In one case, we have a Cane Corso that is well socialized and loves everyone. All the Techs at SRVC love him and so does the other Vet (Dr. Rowley). But Padgett has a file note, "Muzzle require, Cane Corso". The good news is this was NEVER enforced. There are other lies where we can only assume he didn't listen to us, didn't believe us or just completely disregarded us and our description of events. With such an Omnipotent Narcissist as Dr. Padgett, your loved pet is in severe danger if you do not choose to bow down and acclaim Dr. Padgett as your lord and savior. He will forsake the health of your pet, attempt to black ball you with other Vets, and blatantly disregard you as the Pet Parent if you dare to challenge him about the care of your pet. He is one of the worst people I have ever met; let alone a Vet. If you love your pet...RUN AWAY FAST!!! To ANY other Vet in Florida. Dr. Padgett is the WORST VET.....BAR NONE!!!! read more

Not taking our babies here! They don't have any problems inconveniencing the customer. My wife took our cat in and they found moderate kidney issues. They prescribed Hills kidney catfood verbally. We tried to buy it on Chewy and they stated that they needed a written prescription emailed. My wife contacted these people and they said that they don't email prescriptions and she would have to drive all the way back to their office. If they would have given the written prescription on the first visit it wouldn't have been a problem. I don't want to bring my pets to a forgetful, incompetent vet office. I can't take the chance that you would forget to do something crucial to my pets. It's errogant thinking that customers have nothing better to do than drive back and forth to your office. Don't use Shot vet to save and think you can still be a part of this office/vet, and do not ask to deduct something from the bill even though you asked for the price difference prior to them ringing it up (to which you did not get)., There is many reasons but the main thing is the front counter staff speaks fast & rudely and when you ask a question they get worse and have been known to holler to which I calmly said you know you are hollering right? They clearly hate their jobs at this location now. I have had nice nurses and the Dr. seems nice, but if you get certain assistants or have to ask questions, they get upset sometimes a little but sometimes more so. :(.I actually heard them ask the assistant if everything was okay when she was leaving my room from ckg my dogs temp. ??? They have been working on trying to find a reason? The girl answered No, eveything went great. High school all over again, I never said anything to anyone about the rudeness because my pets come first and I didn't want to over react, but I think everyone should know esp someone new before they invest a lot of time & money caring so much for their pets as I do. Just rec'd a letter from the front desk/ office mgr. stating to go somewhere else and I must wonder if the Dr. knew she sent it and secondly, if they understand pets come first and people need to save money we need to ask questions and if shot vet saves a large amt. on the yearly shots (That they clearly do not like me to do the shots w/shot vet, very frowned upon) why can't SR Vet do everything else, annual ck ups, flea control, heartworm, dental, testing.I have 4 dogs which I rotate in and keep very good upkeep and care, they are family, but having one income it is easier to do the shots w/shot vet, they should be more professional and understanding about rates and..I will agree I like kindness, it wasn't a good fit, so you did us a favor. read more

By dog has been going here for years, but since the recent doctor changes this clinic has gone downhill, they hold refills for tests that we should have been notified for and now they have announced that they are no longer working with online pharmacies leaving you no alternative than to buy your meds through them!
