Communication, return phone calls. I was told to go there for an ultrasound for my cat to diagnosis idb. Waited 5 hrs. Vet told me everything was normal on ultrasound. Less than 12 hours my cat turned yellow. It wasn't normal. And they don't save the images so you can't have your own vet look at the images. Took her to Auburn university where her stomach, pancreas, liver, bile duct were so inflamed. They even found a tumor. I have called 3 times and emailed asking to talk to the office manager and no response. If the ultra sound I was asking to be done wasn't something they could do then they should have told me. Instead they took my money and made it out like I was crazy. Unfortunately I lost my beloved cat and i will always wonder if I took her sooner could she have been saved. read more

Dr. Carroll nearly killed my cat through sheer negligence. Cat was vomiting and disinterested in food or water, so we took him to the Niceville ER where he was seen by Dr. Carroll. The staff took him back to collect vitals, then returned him to us before we were taken to an exam room. Once in the room, the doctor spoke with us and decided after a very brief interaction to run some blood work and collect some x-rays. We were told the x-rays looked normal (important). Based on the analysis of the labs, Dr. Carroll diagnosed pancreatitis and sent us home with antibiotics and nausea pills, as well as having dispensed a long-acting antibiotic and antiemetic with instructions to see how he behaved over the next 24 hours or so. This visit was about $900. Cat did not seem to improve much over the next 24 hours and was very combative when trying to dispense medication. We WENT BACK to the ER as instructed. Dr. Carroll ordered more blood work, which showed little to no improvement. An ultrasound was done to make sure there were no masses in his abdomen to rule out cancer, which we did not see the images from but were told was uneventful. It was at this point that Dr. Carroll suggested we hospitalize Cat so they could place him on an IV drip and constantly monitor him. We were presented with a $2300 quote for this. We discussed more cost-effective options and were encouraged to monitor him at home, dispense medication ourselves, and administer subcutaneous fluid using a bolus bag and needles that were supplied to us. Told to follow-up either with him or with our primary care vet in a week. $650. For A WEEK we forced medication down Cat's throat, swaddled him in order to prick and administer the fluids (traumatizing for everyone involved) and watched him continue to lose weight withdraw further and further away from us. Every night we questioned if we were doing the right thing and seriously considering the long-term impacts to his health. Exactly one week after our first visit, we were able to get him to our primary care vet in Pensacola. We were expecting to get medication refills and instructions to continue the current regimen, as pancreatitis can take a very long time to heal in cats. The doctor there looked at the x-rays and mentioned that they seemed a bit "suspicious". Then, she did what Dr. Carroll did not - a FULL EXAM. She looked into Cat's mouth (a standard part of a basic exam for every cat) and immediately noticed that there was a thread caught on his tongue. She took him back to verify with better lighting and magnification, then came back to us with a diagnosis of a linear foreign object obstruction. Basically, Cat had actually swallowed some sewing thread like it was spaghetti, it got caught in his mouth, and was then unable to pass through his digestive system. This was causing the vomiting (as he was trying to get it back up), the discomfort with swallowing (because he had a thread stuck in his throat), the aversion to food (his intestines had gathered from being pulled tight by the thread). The abnormal blood work was caused by the EIGHT INTESTINAL PERFORATIONS where the thread had cut through his intestines and into his abdomen. He was immediately taken into surgery to remove the thread (see image) and repair the perforations. He never had pancreatitis; he simply had a perforation in his intestine right beside his pancreas that was causing inflammation that mimicked some of the symptoms. Cat was then sent to a recovery hospital in Pensacola to be monitored for any complications or sepsis from having EIGHT HOLES IN HIS INTESTINES. We were able to bring him home after just a few days as he pretty immediately bounced back to his normal affectionate self. When I reached out to give feedback to the ER, I was ignored. We wasted over $1500 on a misdiagnosis due to an incomplete exam. Cat is doing great now, absolutely no thanks to Dr. Carroll. His negligence would have killed our cat. I do believe that the ER has an obligation to respond to me, but I have heard nothing in the weeks since. read more

Two weeks ago I had a time-sensitive issue with my male cat. I called in advance with questions & to run my cats symptoms by a staff member. She was very helpful, patient, and calmly helped me determine the probable scenarios & help me get a clearer idea on what to expect for the monetary side of things. We arrived 15-20 minutes later. The waiting room as relatively packed, but it was a Sunday so I'm assuming that's normal. The staff was professional, kind, patient, and everything you could hope for in a heightened emotion & stress environment. It was much appreciated. They made sure to take the time to explain & answer any questions I had, in regards to the immediate testing & treatment plan. The bill was painfully high, but I think that's to be expected for an ER situation. I'm grateful that I had just enough to cover it. I don't think I could have risked it if I had waited another day and woke up to find my cat had painful died over night. I have owned 18 cats over my lifetime, & cared for several TNR cats, and I am lucky for this to be our first vet emergency. I can't imagine what it would be like for anyone who didn't have the funds to seek emergency care. I love that they forwarded all of the records, documentation, imaging, and info over to our primary veterinary office (Crossroads). That made things so much easier when I spoke to our vet for a follow appointment. Thank you to all of the staff for being so kind and patient. This veterinary clinic is hands down the worst out there. My husband has brought our precious baby to get seen at 7:30am and immediately got checked in due to there not being a line. once we got checked in he was informed he need to wait in the car due to our dog needing to get swabbed for parvo. My husband and dog were waiting for two hours just for a nurse to come swab him. Of course the test was negative so he was able to come inside. Once inside my husband insisted on imaging to see why our dog was throwing up(Last time he was given an anti nausea medication and sent on our way). we got imaging and low and behold there was a blockage in his small intestines. They informed my husband he Would need surgery. My husband did all the paper work and was about to leave, they told him "okay we are going to pull him back right away and get and IV, then we will get started with the surgery" they also informed him it will only take an hour and a half and will receive a call once complete. My husband left at 1030. 1:00 pm rolls around and still no call so my husband and I Decided to call and we receive attitude for calling to get an update. the individual who spoke to us said "I told you we would call when we are done and we will call". Finally at 4 pm we FINALLY received a call. MY BABY had to sit in immense amount of pain just waiting to get surgery. When one of his owners could have at least been there comforting him. So he comes out of surgery and we go visit. My husband was told he would only have to stay 24 hours, once we get to the clinic to see him they said the surgery went well there was no complications but he will need to stay for 48 hours. WHAT?!?! Then we see our dog and sit with him when one of the employees comes up to us and was telling us about the procedure. she stated "yeah once we go the IV he perked up a little so the vet was debating about even going through with the surgery" I'm sorry what? Debating? Honey there's nothing to debate you have already charged me for the procedure INSTEAD OF DOING A DEPOSIT. Not only that, why would you ever debate not doing the surgery if you seen there is a serious blockage. So the next day we call twice to visit once in the morning and once at noon. Both times got rejected due to them being busy, no worries completely understand. Finally we call around 3pm and ask if he could get discharge early or if we could visit. They said yes we can pick him up. When we arrive to get him it was a sight to be seen. Our beautiful baby boy came out with his own fecal matter caked all over him. So not only did this dog suffer in pain for two days, they also decided to let him suffer in his own waste. This veterinary clinic is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!! We brought her in that evening and despite being 1 of 5 people in the waiting room (on a Sunday!) we were seen and out the door within 1.5 hours, which I think is amazing. The veterinarian and the entire staff was extremely comprehensive when explaining my birds prognosis & the prices we would have based on the options for treatment. Their pricing was very fair considering it was an emergency center and my bird stayed over night. When we checked out, they gave us an entire list of the check ups my bird received throughout her visit that were very detailed. I was nervous about going here after reading the reviews but let me start by saying I am so glad I did. I needed an ultrasound for my best friend, I was worried she might have a tumor or obstruction because she couldn't keep any food down. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile from Victoria the receptionist. After checking in with Victoria, Chris took us to an exam room, Chris was very nice and professional as well. After a short wait Dr. Carroll came in and explained everything to me that he was going to do and answered any and all questions I had. After the examination Dr. Carroll explained everything to me until I understood. That is important. I'm writing this review to hopefully help other people feel comfortable with going here because when we need a business like this it is a very emotional and difficult time because our pets are part of our families and we want nothing but the best for them. Unfortunately sometimes life doesn't go our way and I think some of the reviews for a business like this are based on emotion because the result is not what anybody wanted. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!! Let me begin.... My bunny was having GI Stasis and was in need of immediate care. I couldn't get in with my regular vet so they recommended On Point and told me to get her seen immediately. Unfortunately, On Point couldn't see us either, so, I called this place and explained what my vet said that it was critical for my bunny to be seen immediately! The call went well and the lady was very nice and accommodating over the phone. She did explain that the vet on staff was not a "rabbit expert" but has seen rabbits before, so I said ok I will bring her in. I was expecting that they would take her back immediately and at least examine her belly for any hardness to determine if she needed an x-ray, and if not, we can talk about medications and such to get her "out of the woods". This, however, was not what happened.....when I arrived they took my carrier with bun and asked me to fill out papers. Ok...sure. Then she told me they will come out to get me when they were ready, I asked again to make sure they were going to bring me back for the exam as I wanted to be able to tell the vet what has been going on. 2.5 hours later and several patients later......I asked the lady at the desk when was my bunny going to be seen, she said she will check. Then she came back and told me that the vet wanted me to go to Publix and get some fresh cut pineapple. WWHHAATT???? I told the lady at the desk that pineapple was not good for the rabbit and does not help GI Stasis, but she said the vet wanted to "try" it and wouldn't let up until I went and got some. Becoming more concerned by the minute, I reluctantly left and got a piece of a pineapple core, meanwhile reading several posts in my FB Rabbit groups about how pineapple DOES NOT WORK AANNNNDDDD HAS MADE THE GI STASUS WORSE, EVEN KILLING SEVERAL RABBITS AFTER THEY FED IT TO THE THEM!!! Before I left the store I also grabbed some baby gas drops (since that is one of the helpful remedies) because I was sure this vet had no idea and prob didn't even have any on hand! Needless to say, I was quite upset when I returned to the vet to be told that I had to wait again as they helped yet another patient. I proceeded to tell the lady at the desk about all the things I read and that I was extremely uncomfortable with the pineapple experiment! She said she would go talk to the vet and come back. When she came back ALONE, I said "where is the vet?" and she said they'll be out in a bit to talk to me after they help someone else! REALLY???? Well, I lost it.....I got even more upset, and loud explaining that I had been waiting for 3 hours on a CRITICAL CALL for my bunny that needed IMMEDIATE care, only to be told to GO GET SOME PINEAPPLE when that in fact could KILL MY RABBIT!!!! They were completely useless and incompetent! I will never go there again and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON'T EITHER! read more

I would rate this place a negative 10 if I could. The WORST emergency vet clinic I have ever been to. Last Sunday my beloved 1 year old Pitbull choked on a lacrosse ball. After attempting the doggie heimlich, without success, I immediately called the clinic and was told to bring her right in. I drove at least 90 mph and made it to this place in 6 minutes. Two people were waiting outside when I pulled up and they took my sweet girl inside. That was the last time I saw her alive. The next 1/2 hour to 45 minutes consisted of the receptionist telling me that a $900 was required and asking if I had it. I explained that I did not at that moment but my bf might. I called him and to make a long story short she just hounded me the whole time asking me to call him at least FIVE TIMES. I finally gave her a deposit (significantly less than was asked for) and waited for some word about my girl I was taken in the back once and spoke to someone. I don't know who. They never introduced themselves. He could have been a janitor. This person told me that Rosie would probably not make it as she had been without oxygen for too long. How is that since I'm broke sped limits getting her there and you should have had that ball out of her throat by now???? She went into full cardiac arrest. I believe these ""professionals" did not do ANYTHING for my sweet dog UNTIL THEY HAD A DEPOSIT IN HAND. IM SURE OF THIS!!! I believe that they were just as detrimental to my dog as that lacrosse ball. The only people that were decent were the 3 girls who actually talked to us WITHOUT MENTIONING MONEY!!! read more

Our 3 year old Golden Retriever had to go to the emergency room (Niceville) over the weekend because of a possible intestinal obstruction. The staff, from the sweet and caring receptionist who greeted us, to the technician (Patricia) who tended to us, all treated us like our specific case was THE most important to them. EVERYONE there treated us and our pup with kindness, compassion, and lot's of patience. Dr. Nick Thompson thoroughly evaluated our baby from head to toe and left no "stone unturned" to find answers. DO NOT COME HERE. Unless it's truly a life or death situation. Even then as in my case it didn't save our 5 year old baby's life. Do not go to their niceville location either. To start we were passed over 4 times with other animals with more "critical" issues. Left and went to niceville location over an hour later and doctor there missed big time too. We were given positive outlooks and wrong treatments and advice. We were mislead and both of the Dr.'s prognosis ultimately led to our dogs death. We saw Dr. here two times within 12 hours and she still didn't give us good direction. We had an uneasy feeling and decided to get a 3rd opinion after seeing 2 different docs here on Monday and went to 30A vet. Within 2 minutes of Dr seeing our dog at 30A vet, she said go to university now if you want a chance for him. How does a Dr. Have two visits with patient and still can't get it right?! We drove 4 hours to University of Auburn to try to save his life and our dogs situation had progressed to where it was not treatable. Go to 30A Vet for exceptional knowledge and care from the staff. Again unless it's life or death, DO NOT COME HERE and even then it's not a good choice. Both places are owned by Corporate companies and their whole goal is to make as much money as possible. I do not usually write this kind of review, but my grieving has taken over my life and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. When I got home from work, I notice a huge swelling in one leg of my gentle golden retriever. The entire leg from shoulder to toes was huge. My husband said he was limping but had no other symptoms. The edema was pitting. There were no other signs of trauma anywhere and we didn't see what happened. I rushed him to the clinic on 5/19/2022. My thought was trauma or bite but had nothing to prove either. The reception was polite and the physician both caring and sincere, but that is where it ended. She wanted to rule out the worst, which was fine. I was glad it wasn't bone cancer. Xrays were taken and nothing was found, not even in the soft tissue. I was so distraught that I didn't offer suggestions. I was also trying to be polite. But if the only thing wrong is a single limb, why not shave the leg to be sure? This was not done. A temperature was not taken. I trusted the physician, though, and assumed that the leg was thoroughly checked. We were sent home with no answer, gabapentin, and instructions to massage the leg. The next morning, walking was almost impossible and distress was coming on quickly. My husband rushed him to our local vet when they opened and the vet immediately spotted the problem - snake bite. His temperature was 105 degrees. He died soon after he was taken in. I am grateful that I was able to give my beautiful dog a coherent goodbye with love as I left for work that morning, not knowing he was going downhill fast. As soon as he was noticed to be unresponsive he was rushed in. My vet did what he could but did not understand the records they received from the emergency clinic, nor why they did what they did (and didn't do). For him, it was obvious. This is not about money. I was happy to pay for xrays that showed there was not a severe problem with arthritis and no sign of bone cancer. Please, be aware of the sign of snake bites, and pay attention to localized swelling. I don't know whether or not Orson's life would have been spared if the emergency vet would have focused on the leg instead of the whole body, but I do think he would have had more of a chance if needed medication was started that night instead of the next morning. I am blaming myself for not speaking up to the physician that night. I look at his death as my fault. Please don't be afraid to ask questions, and always be an advocate for your pet. Seeing his face that morning before I went to work, the look in his eyes that seem to beg for help, will never leave me. He was only 7. read more

I know Veterinary care is expensive. And everyone does what they can for their fur babies. When you have no choice but to bring your sick baby to an emergency clinic that is what you do. Be prepaired to have to put up a large deposit and don't expect to get any of it back. (or very little) When it is determined that your patient is critical and has a very slim chance to SURVIVE. Be upfront with the family. Please Don't try to put a financial burden on them and prolong unnecessary treatment when the odds of recovery are slim to none. When we were told the prognosis we chose to terminate treatment and bring our baby home.We were told that if we took him he may not make it home. (We wanted him to be with us and not strangers when he passed) You were correct on saying he would not make it home.. You knew he was not going to make it. But still wanted to give him injections of course we said yes because we wanted to make him as comfortable as possible. We wanted to do what we could to make him comfortable and we were putting our trust in you to do what was right. He passed appoximately 15 minutes after we left the clinic. When I was asked if I wanted to have the catheter removed or left in I was a bit confused. (Thinking it was a bladder catheter) I said leave it in. was told it could stay in upto 3 days. So I am thinking he may be with us a little bit longer than the trip home. But you knew differently . And sold us a collar so he would not chew at the catheter I think that was a bit much. But that's okay I could afford to pay for it and I did. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FAMILY THAT CAN NOT AFFORD IT. Because of covid we were not allowed inside. Were told only in a matter of life and death. We were not allowed in to see him inside and really do not know what type of treatment he was receiving. We were told what you thought he needed and the cost would be over $2700. and we would need to move him to another clinic in the morning. That is approximately what it cost for his Brother to stay 3 to 4 days at LSU Veterinary Hospital. Like I said I know Veterinary care is expensive and would have paid it if we thought there was a chance for Jack to survive but his prognosis was very very grim. My sons puppy was taken here and was told to stay outside in car with his 4 month old puppy due to puppy's symptoms of parvo. After testing and confirming parvo it was broadcast throughout the waiting room by staff. I understand the severity of parvo to other animals, but for staff to broadcast this throughout waiting room is un professional. Does this clinic not have a quarantine room for such situation instead of treating animals from a car? And for those who where in waiting room for emergency care, how"d Emergency Veterinary Clinic know those pets did't have parvo, pet's do vomit without having parvo? After diagnosis and confirmation of parvo, suggested treatment was 48 hours of in house clinic care at a cost of over $2000 plus. I didn't have this kind of money as so many others don't, so after $500 was sent home with a in home care package and a good luck. This shows me that all veterinary hospitals and veterinarians don't care about anything but padding the bill for $. I understand veterinary hospitals and veterinarians have to make money, but where has the compassion for low income pet owners who love there pets gone, over profits. Pet care should be income based and not so much about pure profit based, where's those veterinarians, there's not. Read all these veterinarians website Mission statements about compassion, care for animals all BS, all about the almighty $. Justs shows low income owners animals go home and die, while those who have financial means pets live. Update: Morning after this beautiful, loving, playful 4 month puppy passed away. We called and let them know that we though our dog was having a serious reaction to medicine. Let them know all the gory details. AND SIDE EFFECTS WERE SERIOUS. We get there. And fill out paper work. 5 minutes later someone arrives with there pet. Maybe because they are local. They were taken in first. 2 1/2 hrs later. They come and take our dogs temp. My car had a bad scary UTI and of course they recommended surgery but I asked for antibiotics and they agreed and gave him pain meds and he has fully recovered. He did not need the surgery after all!!! read more

On Oct. 2, at approximately 2 p.m., we took our pregnant 3-year old boxer, Adel, to The Emergency Animal Clinic, Located in Niceville on Governent Ave. while in the early stage of labor. In the 24 hours prior, Adel had not been progressing in terms of visible contractions, and was panting heavily. She had not eaten in 24 hours. On October 2, at around 1 p.m, she expelled a small amount of meconium; after another 30 minutes, it became a bit more watery. Her temperature was 98. At that point we made a decision to bring her to the clinic, thinking they would probably recommend an X-ray to ensure nothing (such as a stuck puppy) was preventing her from progressing. Our intent was to ensure she was OK, and possibly get a shot of oxitoicn to help her along with contractions. (As experienced breeders, we were aware that the presence of meconium can mean a broken sack or separation of placenta.) Upon arrival at the clinic, we were greeted by an employee who didn't appear to listen to many of the important details we provided, including that I have been a breeder for 10 years. We explained to Dr. Brousse that there was the presence of a small amount of meconium. He did not know what we were referring to, which surprised me. An X-ray was recommended and administered, and Dr. Brousse told us that the radiograph looked normal but that he was concerned that Adel's white blood cell count was very elevated and that she had a "severe bacterial infection." He said he needed to move forward with a cesarean birth in order to save the puppies and Adel. He additionally said he needed to spay Adel. My husband asked "why?". He replied, "Based on my gut feeling." A tech then began explaining the costs and time involved and what to expect after we got home. I was bewildered and shaken and felt pressured and rushed into a serious medical decision I wasn't at all sure what was the best one. However, after a few minutes with few options I asked again about the oxitocin and was told we could lose both Adel and the puppies if we didn't hurry with the C section. We were told to go home for a few hours. After 3 hours, having heard nothing, I called the clinic. I was told someone would call me back shortly. When called back I was also told the puppies had not been fed, yet. An interval of more than 2 hours after their birth. I was shocked and upset and instructed the clinic to immediately feed them. I was furious! Dr. Brousse told us there were 7 puppies and he was able to save 5. In later weeks, a clinic employee represented that there were 8 puppies, and 5 were saved, which raised my suspicions of incompetence at the clinic. During the process of giving us after-care instructions, the same clinic tech told us not to put Adel with her puppies when we got home. To let her think all puppies had died. (due to her "fictcious" high white blood count) Once at home, we did as we had been instructed. Adel wouldn't eat or drink for nearly 3 days, causing substantial weight loss. (For the next two to three weeks, my husband and I also had to resuscitate many of the puppies, often running to another vet to administer oxygen, and feeding all of them every 2 hours.) When our veterinarian, looked at the clinics blood results on Monday, he agreed that it looked normal. He also said Adels white cell count had appeared to be in the normal range, as well. After reviewing the documents and hearing my account of our experience, he said he saw no apperant reason Adel had needed to be spayed, nor separated from her puppies. I was very upset, as Adel would have had at least 2 more years of healthy breeding, had she not been spayed. also said we should put a t-shirt on Adel and let her be with her puppies. We did this as soon as we got home, and she perked right up and began eating and drinking. In subsequent conversations and emails with Katy at the clinic, as we sought more information, and a resolution, I was told, among other things, that the tech had been let go, and that "many things were wrong with what occurred that day " nonetheless, the clinic ultimately decided not to acknowledge wrong doing. read more

June 8th 2019 around 7pm our cat Toby got into someone's chewing tobacco, nearly dying and obviously very intoxicated. They treated him for two days and he recovered fantastically. It was a costly bill to find out that chewing tobacco is enticing to cats for the sweet mint smell but can be deadly. Last night our Chiweenie Tucker got under the motorized recliner in the living room while my mother was lowering the recliner to feed the animals, he was pinned in between the metal post and gears. We couldn't get the recliner to move up to release and had to pry apart the footrest to give him room to back out. He was badly crushed. He squealed, defected and his tongue turned a pale gray while we struggled to get him out. He was able to walk away luckily but we took him to the vet clinic at 8pm because the incident was obviously traumatic and we needed to make sure nothing was broken or bleeding enterally. They got us quickly and were super kind. Thankfully he should be ok with a few doses of pain medication and we have a check up with his normal vet. I just wanted to say thank you for your help. It is sometimes very emotional to know while we are getting a second chance with our fur babies that someone else is usually there putting theirs to rest. The bill is always worth the life saving care and treatment efforts. This place has been a huge help, even when we live in Crestview. read more

The vet who was working when we had to take our cat in was incredibly dishonest. He took advantage of our lack of veterinary medical knowledge when we were most vulnerable. Avoid taking your pet here if at all possible. Go to the Emergency Vet in Destin instead. read more

I was absolutely knocked over at the degree of professionalism exhibited by Dr Davis and his staff. A treatment plan was offered and explained, with no push towards any unnecessary tests. The options for treatment were left up to me, with the assurance that if additional treatments were required, I could bring my kitten back at any time during the weekend. Sure it was more expensive, but so is a human ER!!!! Very thankful that you were there, and looking forward to the Destin clinic opening! By the way, my kitten was already feeling better by the time we got home. read more

Do not take your pets here. While I was at work my cat had a seizure, my siblings called me and since my actual vet (which is in Pensacola) was way to far I was thinking of a quick solution to make sure my baby was okay. I told them to go on ahead and take her to this location . They were one very rude to my siblings. They were relaying scary news like "she'd die if you don't leave her here with us etc" pressuring my siblings to make a decision there without me (the owner) being present. My siblings also gave my number as the main contact to call for updates but for some reason I got the nice side of the message less pressure than what my siblings were experiencing. Because of the ordeal (since I was losing my mind at work I was thankfully relieved by a very understanding boss ) once I got to the site waiting to pick up my cat everything was fine they went over the payment. They told me about to options of bringing her home versus keeping her there when I disagreed to keeping her at the facility I could feel that the energy had changed. I was told that she'd died with in a week which my child had not done since she's still here today. (Mind you this was a year ago) my point is these people are very rude. Especially if people under the age of 20 are taking their fur babies in. There's no real compassion. I would not recommend this place under any circumstances. Even if my fur baby had some critical condition I'd rather take my baby to the vet in Pensacola to a place who treats me as a human with feelings and an animal with a pure soul. read more

We arrived at 12:30am with 2 dogs that had ingested sugarfree gum containing xylitol. We hadn't realized how lethal this was until talking to the attendant on the phone. As soon as we arrived, they promptly took care of both dogs. Thankfully only one needed further care (he was the guilty party of eating 7 pieces!!), which they were prompt and communicative about the next steps. In total for 2 dogs (one that required more attention than the other) it was $400. I thought this was really reasonable considering the level of care they received and all of the medications they both were given. This all happened the last night of our vacation in Fort Walton. We were from out of town and so lucky to find them. Everyone was very helpful, and we are so grateful! read more

Was very displeased after not even being seen. I work in the medical field so I TOTALLY understand that some patients are more important than others and sometimes there is a wait, and you never know whats going on behind closed doors. However, my dog had surgery 3 days ago, and his incision is totally open (over plates and screws) and bleeding...we sat for 3 hours waiting, no one looked at him, no one asked any questions about him, no one made sure he wasnt bleeding profusely, NOTHING. We had filled out a paper when we came in, just our info, and thats it. Finally after 3 hours i worked up the courage to ask if they knew about how much longer, and they said there were still 5 people in front of us! We left and drove to pensacola, when we walked in someone IMMEDIATELY looked, and said because it was open they were taking him back immediately. What a relief that was. Very unfortunate that we have ONE emergency vet in this area and they work this way. They cleary need more staff to atleast check on your animals to be sure it isnt extremely urgent. Hopefully will never have to go back here. read more

We took our young dog in who unfortunately cut himself. The gash was horrendous and required surgery. The staff and vet were professional and took GREAT care of him. Unfortunately we had some issues with the wait time and the final billing. Katie the office manager went above and beyond to investigate the breakdown within her office and promptly followed up with us. She was more than gracious and forthcoming. Absolute breath of fresh air.. Which leads me to believe it was a particular busy day for the practice and their focus at that time was more their animal clients. I would recommend the practice if your pet is truly in need of emergency intervention. I saw staff who have an incredible love for animals. read more

We brought in our poor cat last night when we found her bleeding through the nose. The staff were so compassionate and did everything they could to help our pet and our family. Sadly our cat had to be put to sleep, it was extremely painful but the vet, nurses and secretary were so comforting. I want to thank them for all their hard work. read more
