He explained why the previous patio had sunk and what measures he would take to avoid that from happening again. He is very detailed oriented and takes the time to make everything right. He is very proud in his workmanship. He and his helper were very easy to work with. Cleaned up every day. When there was an unforeseen pipe from the adjacent swimming pool, that ruptured during the pour, Misael took complete responsibility and had an emergency plumber provide a temporary repair. We had a new patio done a few years ago. We never had a seal put on it. With sun exposure and power washing the color of the concrete began to fade. We initially planned to have Santana Concrete do a seal only, but after it was power washed and ready we decided to stain it also. The "stock" colors did not produce the color I wanted so Misael agreed to mix some. He was patient through the process, and I could tell he wanted me to be happy with the result. I was doing a backyard landscaping project and wanted to seal the concrete patio and steps with a darker seal color. I contacted several concrete sealer companies and selected Santana concrete for the following reasons: * Misael Santana was very knowledgeable and responsive to my requests. * After the initial visit, Misael returned with 3 different products which he applied in a inconspicuous spot so that I would have a better idea of the look of the finished product. * Misael thought my concrete patio was in great shape, and even suggested that I did not have to seal the concrete unless I wanted a darker shade. He was willing to forgo the work. * I did hire Misael to seal the concrete. I had a hillside patio starting to slide away during heavy rains in the winter. I reached out to Misael Santana. He was immediately prompt and attentive in his response to my request. He arrived exactly on time for our first meeting (and every time thereafter!). He looked over the job and discussed with me the vision I had for the space. He came up with a detailed and reasonably priced plan for a low profile reinforced colored and stamped concrete retaining wall and patio surface. He quickly got to work removing the old slate and excess dirt. He built a strong frame of rebar and poured a beautiful wall and patio. He worked with amazing speed and attention to detail, and went far above and beyond at all steps. He hauled the slate to another part of my yard and stacked it, and the excess dirt from the job he carted to another part of my yard and spread under the existing mulch as I requested. He relocated plants and was careful to clean up meticulously at every step of the process. This was a lot of extra hard work for him! The completed job looks great and integrates well with the outdoor space already in place. The work is so solid I am sure it will far outlast the life of the home despite the steepness of the slope and heavy rain. Misael has been responsive, kind and professional throughout the process. I am scrambling to come up with other work for him to do on my property. It has been a delight to work with him and have him around the house.
