    150 sq ft patio
    John G.

Cesar and the guys just replaced my patio and did a fantastic job. The entire process from demolition to final brushing took 8 hours. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Rebar laid within patio forms to provide strength to the pad.

Cesar, the owner, returned our call immediately, and when asked for a quote was quick to show up onsite for the request. He reviewed all the work required to form a new large patio, as well as pouring a new pad for an 12' X 10' ft Workshop, and another for an 12' X 8' above ground pool, as well as an additional repair of old damaged walkways, and finally creating a new sidewalk for wheelchair access to the backyard. Cesar and his crew are the best in concrete pouring and installation. They show up on time, usually early and eager to work. Cesar made excellent suggestions in the surface finishes and color too! We hope to have these guys back soon to have our 60 year old concrete driveway broken up, removed and re-poured. Thank you everyone for a job well done!

    BEFORE - failing retaining wall

Cesar and his crew replaced a small attached garage and driveway with a brand new driveway and outdoor parking space. He had to replace retaining walls and the driveway itself. They did an awesome job! They are easy to communicate with and even helped connect us with a colleague who could do some basic plans and work through the city's permitting process. Their quote was fair and very competitive, and there were no surprise increases in price (we requested one major change to the plans midstream which he was accommodating for and quoted us a reasonable price increase). They started the project when they said they would, and finished on time. The results look great. Cesar is also just a really good guy. Overall a pleasure to work with, we will be calling them again for any of our concrete needs!

We had such a nice experience with Cesar and his team at Sierra's concrete. He was very attentive and followed up quickly. When we had a change to our requirements, he came out again to re-measure and triple check the details. His team was great and they cleaned up every day which I very much appreciated. We are so very happy with the patio and the installation of The artificial grass (note that the putting green was already in place from another vendor). Came out just great and at a fair price. We love our back yard.

Cesar and his crew are quick and professional. I needed two walkways done and ended up adding a turf install while I was working on the quote with him. The biggest concern for me was the need to have it completed within a tight timeline of a few weeks. We have an in home daycare and needed the job finished during a two week holiday break around Christmas and New years. They were able to finish quickly and was able to finish the job a few days earlier than what was initially estimated.

SOOOOOO happy with our new patio! Cesar and his wife, from the first phone call, were clear and professional, kind and considerate. I was given plenty of time during the initial visit to get the answers to all of my questions and concerns. During the 2nd visit, to prepare for the work, I had even more questions that Cesar patiently walked me through. He is clearly respected and admired by his team, who worked quickly and with a genuine affinity for their work and one another. I am eager now to recommend Sierra's Concrete to any and all looking for this sort of work to be done on their homes. It was a truly lovely experience!

Definitely recommending their service to my friends. Great job!!

They did my walkway and my patio. They are very professional. I never had any problems with them. I will definitely recommend their service to my friends.

5 men working on the job after concrete was poured in to prepped site.

Concrete work is a huge undertaking and very costly. Deciding on a concrete contractor to use is a stressful process in itself. About half a dozen contractors came out to my patio. Cesar, owner of Sierra's Concrete and his crew completed my backyard patio 2 days ago. I am thrilled with the result. Reasons to seriously consider using them: 1. Cesar came out promptly to thoroughly assess the job. 2. He listened carefully to my needs and then proposed what his plan would be in moving forward. He suggested extra safety measures in prepping for demolition of existing patio that other contractors hadn't mentioned. He also added a few changes that I wanted. 3. Emailed me an estimate the very next morning! This was a huge. Also, I was able to communicate with him easily via text and email, another big plus. 4. They started the following Monday. 5. Crew of 5 were serious, professional, efficient and very hard-working.

One end of our home was a muddy area which we had used for storage of garden supplies. We finally decided to upgrade it by having a concrete pad installed. Contacted Sierra's Concrete on a Thursday, and the work was started and finished (except for drying and basic curing) the following Tuesday. Owner Cesar even suggested a no-extra-cost texturing of the finished work to give it some visual interest. He understood the importance of the height of the pad compared to the home's foundation, the need to leave space between the finished pad and the adjacent fence, and the need to grade the surface so rainwater would drain away from the house. As the cement arrived at the site, they spread a tarp to protect against droppings and afterwards swept the area completely clean! 100% satisfaction. Will use them again should the need arise.

Our job was completed just yesterday. Let me tell you that my husband and I have never been more pleased with a service. These guys go above and beyond to make their customers happy! The detail orientation of their service is impressive. Two of our neighbors were also getting concrete at the same time by other companies (not Sierra's), their projects were smaller than ours and started an entire week before ours, and neither of their projects are done or being done properly. I'm SO glad we found Sierra's concrete. Their team shows up on time, works harder than anyone I've ever seen, and cleans up to make it seem like they were never there. Seriously, we don't even have dust. The work they did is so beautiful, we are already making future plans to hire them for! So happy! Thank you Cesar and Iliana!

From the bid process…read moreto the construction and completion, Brent, Will and his team were consummate professionals and a true pleasure to work with. Starting with the Bid process. I contacted Solaris via email from their website contact details and gave them all the relevant details of our job. Within a week we had a face to face meeting to discuss the details of the job and to find out more about their crew and their experience. The guys went out of their way to accommodate our schedule, meeting with us in the evening hours after the kiddies went to bed. They took notes, discussed options, and generally were polite and well spoken, even offering to take their shoes off before coming into our house to sit down when they saw shoes at the door! About a week later the bid came in. It was clear they had paid attention to my requests during the initial meeting, structured the bid in a way where it was easy for me to see where the money was going. They also offered up suggestions on how we could save money by making modifications to our plan. They provided copies of their insurance and contractors license and I independently checked it all out and they were on the up and up. We decided to move forward with a contract. Brent provided a start date to us based on their schedule and we were set. When our start date finally came they started the job on time. I was impressed with the caliber of their crew, these are real professionals. The same guys who were there on day one was the same crew we had throughout the job, no fly by night day laborer's for this construction company. Every single member of their crew was clean cut, well spoken, polite, and generally gave us alot of confidence in having them around the house doing work. Speaking of the crew, these guys work *hard* and clearly pay attention to detail. Will was the lead on my project and him and his crew completed the following for us: Demo/Prep of the site Grading Just a ton of trenching Installation of a complete irrigation system Adding dedicated power circuits for the yard Adding low voltage power for lighting An in ground trampoline! A reinforced treated wood retaining wall A new lawn from sod (w/ sprinklers) A set of raised beds Decomposed granite pathways "Boulder" stairs for a grade change Mortared fieldstone retaining walls (beautiful, really) Custom hose bibs routed into wood posts (they look awesome!) I have a huge list of work I still want to do, and I'm not even going to bother getting it bid out when I'm ready. I know who I'm calling, Solaris Construction. In short. If Solaris construction isn't on your list of contractors to consider for your landscape, home improvement, or other major construction job, you're doing something wrong.

The only one to come all the way through was Brent, who met with our structural engineer to go over the plans before offering a bid. I wanted a cantilever edge on my pool deck and already had a couple concrete guys say "no way". So I'm looking at a Sunset magazine and yes it can be done so who? I'm not a high end kinda guy so it's gotta be reasonably affordable. I live in Novato with Novato $ not Belvedere nor Belvedere $. Gutierrez R Construction that's who. From the first greeting Raul is a good man and square guy guy to work with. He is friendly talented resourceful innovative creative and a real pleasure to have working for you. Back to the pool deck so this a challenge that Raul undertook with cantilever edge over the pool and a multi curved outer deck edge. This is something he'd never done before but certainly was intrigued and did his research. I think it came out extraordinary nice. So afterwords Raul and his crew performed a variety of jobs that I'm very pleased with. 1) bluestone patio with a cedar pergola "custom designed by Raul" to meet my wife's requests to not block light into house. Raul knows how to run a saw and cut a 2x10 cedar board with an angle cut by eye for a "perfect fit"it. He was on the ground with saw and crew member was on a ladder 12 feet up fitting the board. It was impressive to watch that his no marked measure eyeball cut for a perfect fit on that board. WOW yeah this guy is good! 2) blue stone patio came out so beautiful that I brought back Gutierrez R Construction for a bluestone deck out the master bedroom for my backyard spa. Yup it came out great! 3) new fencing in front and sister post existing posts in the back and gate work as well. Guitierrez R Construction was very fair with their pricing, scheduling, and communication and I always feel like I'm getting their best effort and that in itself is a terrific feeling.

It feels as its her way or the highway. The specification for the pool coping thickness was clearly stated on our contract at 3" but we still had to have them cut down a inch because the contractor didn't allow for variables. This delayed the project a few months and we paid for the stone cutting at significant $$$. Once completed the job looked very good, until we got into the pool a few days later and noticed the coping grout was extruding from under the coping an over the tiles in a few places where we need to attach the pool cover track and a big blob in our skimmer! Asking Gutierrez R Construction to resolve this and we didn't get a response to two text messages until I mentioned my attorney even still they appear to have no desire to resolve the poor workmanship. My recommendation is don't hire Gutierrez R Construction!
