We were already in the area picking up some delicious ramen at nearby HiroNori Craft Ramen when I pointed this place out to McDreamee. He previously had told me he wanted me to find a good, affordable small family business that would fix or replace our Riviera's headliner's sagging ways. There! I didn't have to do "research" for him on Yelp anymore *phew*. He ditched me to talk to the guys at Santana's and told me to order some ramen for us. We're still married. Haha, just kidding. It was actually the other way around (I ditched him to order food) because he knows I get very *HANGRY.* Communication was a bit rough at times. I wouldn't get a call back on the day Ramon Santana specified that he'd call us back. But I didn't get frustrated because eventually some younger folks - possibly his adult kids - started calling. We probably compared at least 50 swatches to get this right. Some Ramon had to ask his suppliers for more samples because McDreamee and I were so picky. Lol. It's a small shop. Ramon and his swell crew stay busy with headliners for older cars like ours and reupholstering chairs for dining tables and such. If Ramon doesn't have it in stock, he tries his hardest to find a match or something very close. The deal we got for the headliner alone was sweet - way more competitive than another place just up the road plus Santana's time frame was one business day. The other dudes wanted to keep the car for days. Our new headliner looks real sharp. McDreamee wants to go back for more work, but this was a priority. Dropped the car off at 10 a.m. and it was ready for pick-up by 2 p.m. the same day (8/22/19). read more

I loved the work done! It was great quality, the material used was top notch, the turnaround time was quick and the price was even better. I did some digging of other upholstery places and their prices were nearly double compared to what was quoted from Santanas. Now - as an artist, I know its rather difficult to put a price on art or skilled labor so whatever is quoted, I have no problem paying especially if its quality work but of course as a consumer, I'm going to find the best possible deal. At Santanas I didn't have to worry about quality or price. My first piece I brought in was an oddly shaped barstool with no cushion. Since I use the chair for clients (I am a makeup artist and stylist) they sometimes can sit for up to 2 hours! I wanted something comfortable, stylish and most importantly practical. The end result was beautiful! It really exceeded my expectations and my clients love it!!! The second piece was a vanity chair my grandmother gave me without a cushion. This upholsterers in Santa Fe Spring is a bit of a treck from my neighbourhood but I had it on good recommendation that they had experience with older vehicles and charged a reasonable rate. My 1970 Chevy Nova got the following: Re-upholstered front bench seat and rear seat in OEM vinyl, a rubber floor mat (on request as I have a dog), new door panels in the front and back, a new headliner, and a new rear speaker cover for the affordable price of $1500. For that money I was expecting on 'ok' job but what I got was much more that that. The only gripes to come about after a couple of months are the passenger side door handle and window handle are forced out slightly by the thickness of the new door panel. This really just needed a few deft blows from a rubber mallet. Some of the fixtures and fittings required tightening, they had blown a fuse on the radio which i replaced, and they had pulled out the high beam low beam cluster wires from the floor when fitting the mat. These were all minor issues that were resolved within 30 minutes of me having the car home. I highly recommend Santana's Upholstery if you are looking to re-upholster your car, furniture or boat. read more

Took in my 280ZX to get the seats redone, hoping for something close to the original leather seats that were in my car.
