I paid $3000 for this bed from Ashley's. In 2015. Do your research before you buy from Ashley's. Their craftsmanship is crap I was trying to find somebody close to reupholster my bed I found Dominguez online and went to check them out and met Allison she showed me around and I met her dad and he was just great. I got three other estimates and nobody could come close to Dominguez plus they came and disassembled and took the headboard and bench and had it done in two weeks. So I got a headboard and the bench reupholstered (Button Tuffed) Picked up and delivered for $1000 you can't get better service than that. Check them out they're great. I am so thrilled with my couch! I got a couch second hand about 4 years ago, and it was already worn down and broken but I loved it. So when it was time to move, I looked at other couches and decided to see the cost of getting my current one reupholstered. The cost was cheaper than a couch of the same size, I spoke to many different companies before deciding to go with Dominguez quality Upholstery. Allison was so helpful and showed up with probably 150 swatches when they came to pick up the couch, and I happened to find exactly what I was looking for. Ironically, one piece of my 3 part sectional did not fit in my front door and the delivery guys had to hoist it through my balcony but they did it so quickly and efficiently it was significantly less terrifying than I thought it would be The fabric I selected was out so I expected an 8 week wait but they finished it in only 5 weeks and it is perfect. They fixed every issue and plumped the cushions back up without changing them completely, they did exactly what I wanted and I'm totally satisfied. This is a couch I will have for YEARS. I am so happy to have found this company. First of all, working with Allison made everything go so smoothly. She was clear about what to expect from the start and then was really helpful guiding me through the process. She is available on text which is so convenient and the communication was very thorough and efficient. I was within their complementary pickup and delivery range which was SO great - honestly this was a huge win for me and I loved that they offered that. I gave them a really tall order for the first time working together and I'm blown away. The piece of furniture I gave them as a foundation was super low quality (ikea futon) and I had a vintage fabric that was just barely thick enough to be a true upholstery fabric but wow did they make it work. The stitching, the fabric placement, all of it looks so great. The cherry on top is that I knew I had quite a bit of fabric so I asked if a couple of round pillows could be made with the extra. Not only did Allison work in two round pillows but she also had them make a large square pillow and it's all so great and perfect I can hardly believe it. Very satisfied with their workmanship and Customer Service. Requested a quote to reupholster 2 arm chairs and a foot rest. These had been in the family for 3 generations have have really shown their age. A request on yelp was returned within 1 hours to set up an appointment to measure and pick out the material. A time was set up for the next day. Jessie was out to the house the next day with the samples. She was great in showing my wife the samples and providing suggestions. We decided to go with Dominguez. When the material arrived, we went to the factory to make sure that was the type and color we wanted. The chairs were picked up that day and promised delivery by Christmas. Inherited a 40+ year table and chair set. Loved the design of the wood work, but the chairs were so old, stained, damaged and lose. I have kids and elderly family (chunkies 200+ pounds) we thought were going to need new chairs. Then I Looked around to see about getting them reupholstered and came across Dominguez upholstery and after calling around and getting quotes they had the best prices. I talked to the sales rep and she showed us all kinds of different materials originally we were going with some thing that was like an outdoor material so it was easy to clean. and then we came across this vinyl. She showed is she was able to draw on it with a pen and the ink would rub off. Also the material has a warranty. But the best part was the quality of work they did. As you can see in the photos the chairs were bad. Dominguez company gave these chairs another life. They Reupholstered the chairs. But on top of that they repaired the broken wooden arms on the chairs and repaired the missing pieces on the molding to make them complete. They also restrained the chairs and sealed them making them all look new and removing the old wear and tear. They were also able to brace the chairs better and tightened them. With a family of chunkies these chairs will hold up now. They pay great attention to the details and did quality work. It's taking a while to write this review (about 6 months) because we wanted to be sure the chairs would hold up. And they have actually surpassed out expectations. With kids who are messy and rough. 6 months in and these chair still look like we just got them. read more

I am writing to revise my 1-star review, because this business went out of their way to make it right when I complained!! Frankly, I think the problems originated with new/inexperienced office staff. Allison called me to apologize and to take responsibility for the mis-quote and the lack of communication. I don't see businesses doing that very often, so I decided to give them another chance. The driver came from Cerritos to DTLA within a couple days to pick up my table which was in pieces-- I'd already had another repair shop look at it and tell me they couldn't fix it. Dominguez sent me photos of the work in progress and communicated clearly and delivered it sooner than I expected! Not only had they re-glued it, but they made the finish look brand-new!! The owner himself delivered it and helped my son put a very heavy glass top on it. It is sturdy, and has a beautiful warm glow to the finish. Seriously, I got this table from someone who was going to throw it away, and now it looks like the $700 West Elm Jensen table I'd had my eye on for 2+ years!! I'm glad I kept an open mind and gave them another chance, because they surpassed my expectations-- clearly, they care very much about quality workmanship and about their reputation. I needed a button to be retufted on my Roche Bobois Mah Jong sofa cushion. I called Dominguez Quality Upholstery and Allison answered the phone. She told me to come in and they'd see what they could do. I came in immediately and my button was retufted, free of charge. I waited no longer than 5 minutes total for the service. While the workmanship is great, the customer service is TERRIBLE. They picked up my chairs and the fabric that I already purchased, along with 4 pillows to recover. They said at the time they were running a little behind but the job should take no more than 3-4 weeks. A month later, I called, and they said they hadn't started because they were waiting for my fabric to come in!! Seriously, I gave them the fabric with the chairs. When I pointed that out, all of a sudden they "found" the fabric and they said they would get started on it right away. A few weeks later, they finally delivered the chairs but no pillows. After more than a month of promises that I would have them by the end of the week, I finally had to pick the pillows up and do them myself. Like I said, the workmanship is great, but don't plan on this being a quick process. They are great at making promises, but not delivering on those promises. It was one excuse after another - they didn't have the fabric, the person who I was working with quit, they were overwhelmed with work, they only had one seamstress, I was being unreasonable, etc. My final issue is that they really don't have a telephone number you can reach them at. I ended up with about 5 different telephone numbers (one of which ended up being the cell phone of one of the workers!). The main line goes to voicemail if you are lucky. I wish I could have liked them, because I have other furniture that needs to be reupholstered, but I don't trust them enough to try again. read more
