I find it outrageous that most of the vegetable stands are allowed to participate in a CERTIFIED Farmers' Market and NOT ACCEPT the california Department Of Agriculture "Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program" card. As seniors it is a huge help to receive a $50 card to buy produce ONLY at certified Farmers' Markets and arrive the day before Thanksgiving and be told they don't accept the card or they aren't signed up to receive it. Card expires Nov 30 so we will lose our $50. Couldn't even buy eggs. Farmers complain people are unsupportive yet how can we support them if they are greedy and cheat the Government programs? I will make sure to never set foot in a farmers' market again. I will full heartedly support overseas farmers from now on. Let's see who buys your overpriced produce. If they don't comply with the program they should NOT be allowed to sell there. Shame on you all. I find this to be un American. So much for making America great again and buying local and home grown! Also there are only 3 stands of produce and the rest are retail trinkets, NOT a real Farmers' Market. read more

Great Local East County farmers Market on a Wednesday early evening starting from 3-6 Year Round. Easy Drive to the corner of Mast Blvd and Carlton Hills Blvd in the North Central area of Santee right off the 52 freeway Mast Blvd exit, Easy parking, friendly vendors providing Fresh Produce, Fruits and Mushrooms and lots More. Fun stuff and artisans. The market is expanding and adding new vendors all the time. It maybe smaller then most markets, but close and Kid friendly. We will be going back next Wednesday. What nice way to enjoy the middle of a busy week, with a casual walk and shop, bit to eat, a little music, my kind of "Date Nite" to finish out the week. Great idea for a date! They had some vendors that was selling fresh produce. They also have some sitting areas with some booths that served food! Everyone was really nice at the vendors and they all had pretty good priced goods. Definitely going back there again! read more

Not a fan of this Santee Farmer's market, so many sellers are aggressive in wanting to make a sale. For me I like to peruse the different booths but one after the other they would talk over us and say "ready to buy? Want to make a purchase?" Won't be returning to this one any time soon as there are many other better/bigger/nicer farmer's markets in the valley that are more fun. read more

This is a pretty small farmers market but it's not bad.... It is a little overpriced for produce. I did enjoy the sushi place that was there (I can't remember the name). The man serving was very friendly and gracious. I'm also curious to try a taco place there that looked pretty good. A relaxed atmosphere with pretty easy parking. An average farmers market and I may return. read more

This is a small farmer's market and it's place where we have a place to get to know where our food is coming from and who grows/produces it. Thanks to this market, we've met the nicest egg producer, who also shares the bounty of his own small garden. We also are able to get a variety of fruits (oh, those blackberries!) and vegetables when they're in season and taste their best. Then there are the prepared food vendors - super good kettle corn, a hot dog and sausage guy with super good salsa and crazy ideas for sandwiches, mouthwatering BBQ (smoked mac and cheese!) and boba tea. It's an international buffet! Then there are the crafty folks and vendors with products, like jewelry, bags, etc. There's little bit of everything for everyone! read more

It can vary in size depending on the weather and time of year. The vendors are great, but my all-time favorite is the dog booth. The people are so nice and the dog treats they sell are the only things my pups will eat. It's nice to have a Farmers Market in Santee read more

We had been wanting to check out the Santee Farmer's Market and Wednesday we finally did. It was okay. We're pretty sure that in non-COVID times there would be a lot more vendors. Just a small group of vendors on Wednesday. We were looking specifically for uncooked lumpia. Homemade lumpia that we could take home, freeze and cook ourselves. The only lumpia available was of the cooked variety to be consumed immediately. We did, however, come across a vendor who was selling all sorts products for dogs. That was a nice surprise. More on that in a future review! We'll check out the Santee Farmer's Market again after things start getting a little more normal. I'm certain that it will result in more than three stars. read more

I like this cute little market. Some of The vendors can be pushy trying to make you buy without really looking. Can get overwhelming but I enjoy going for the fruits and veggies. The foods pretty good too. I've enjoyed the fresh baked bread, berries that never make it the car ride home because I've ate them all.... The baos, tacos, and even gotten the best tasting avocado I've ever had in my entire life! It was huge! It is a small market so you walk through pretty fast but it makes for a good quick family outting or date night! read more

My new favorite farmers market! We are obsessed! This has now become our weekly family outing. It's walking distance from home, and an excuse to get the family/friends together. We get home from work, take a nice little walk to the market, and then throw our goodies on the grill for a nice dinner. I actually don't even go to the grocery store anymore for our produce, I just get everything here at the farmer's market. With everything going on right now in the world, I really try and avoid the big stores. Regular grocery shopping has now become a chore, but the Farmers Market is a fun experience! It's not the largest farmers market, but I honestly prefer that. I love that it's not over crowded. I never have to wait in a line, and they always have a good selection. They even have fresh fish & eggs! read more

Few stalls with food or baked goods, none with plants. The Greek fruit yogurt and taco stand are the best. Tacos are hand made with fire roasted salsa and vegetarian with fire roasted zucchini. Greek yogurt is blended with fruits. Both unbeatable. read more

I went aug 19th and purchased from two different vendor. The next day when I went to cu open my peach is was rotten and the strawberries were already going bad! They told me to come back and exchange them! I'm not going to keep rotten fruit in my house til then let alone load up two boys and a baby and get back out in the heat. They blame the heat. Well if its hot then you shouldn't be opened. O took a picture of them in a bag bc i was giving them to my neighbor she ended up going through them and made a juice. I used to go to the Santee farmer's market when it was at the elementary school parking lot off of Mission Gorge. Since it has moved it is not much different as far as the amount of vendors just a new location and a slightly different set up. The market is still on the small side but now it is situated in the corner of a strip mall parking lot, there is plenty of parking and it is not overly crowded. It has a typical array of fresh veggies and fruit, then there were a couple more stands scattered around with honey, olive oil, hot sauce, hummus, nuts and other hand crafted items (jewelry, soaps, candles), also a few cooked food vendors. There was a bbq place stand there Full Belly BBQ that smelled amazing both my husband and I were eyeing the ribs as they were cooking on the grill. They also have a few tables there to pull up a seat and dig in on some grub. It is a nice little market to go to if you need to pick up a few necessities, the prices are comparable to other farmer's markets around the county. read more

Fairly small, lots of parking available though. Not crowded at all, only maybe 10 other shoppers at 4pm. Made it easier to push the stroller. There were only 3 or 4 produce vendors, which was kind of disappointing. But the produce was very good. The vendors were very friendly and not pushy at all. There were several artisans with various products and hot food. Two tables with chairs were available to eat at. All in all, I would probably go to the Linda Vista market instead because there is more variety with the produce, although it's more crowded and the parking is harder. read more

my sister had setup a booth at this farmers market for the first time yesterday. will NEVER work at this farmers market again. the lady who ran it was absolutely rude, snarky and stuck up. keep in mind this was my sisters first time working this farmers market and my sister had sold out two whole hours before the market finished and when my sister went to give the lady the money for it she said "we dont do that, ill be around at 615 to hand out paperwork. it states on the contract that we dont leave until615... and you sold out? then next time youre going to need to bring more then" my sister brought a little over 12 dozens!!! as soon as the market is over the lady asked my sister if she would be back next wednesday my sister said she would check her work schedule and the lady rolls her eyes, laughed and said "yeah ok" if you dont know how to handle business then dont do shit like this! never coming back and if you ever plan on shopping here... I was very dissatisfied with the number and selection of produce vendors. Would like to shop there again but I can't get everything I need. Maybe selection is dependent on the growing season or that it's early in the season but I wasn't impressed. Looking for more greens and a greater variety. What I did purchase was good. read more
