I understand that working with large groups of kids can be frustrating, but their attitude was noticeable. At one point, I even stepped in to help distribute skates because the situation felt a bit overwhelming due to their frustration. Overall, the experience was okay, but improved customer service would make a big difference.

Being new and nervous, it took my daughter 5 minutes to go about 10 feet and when we asked they said they have no buckets or beginner helps to push along. Instead they sent us Marcella who was our angel! She spent 5-10 minutes giving us a beginner tutorial and helped my daughter get off the wall skating on her own. We had so much fun and I loved getting to see my daughter try something new. The facilities and rentals at SD Ice Arena are decent. There weren't many fresh beginners. It was fun to sit on the benches and watch the more experienced skaters when we finished.

Outdoor soccer rink, skate park, two inline hockey rinks, amole parking, hiking trail, picnic area, frisbee golf, etc. This place is HUGE. OC ppl...it's Irvine Regional Park huge! Hockey rinks are unfortunately super dirty so the pucks kept sliding at a slower capacity and getting halted in the boards. All in all a great facility!

They have daily open skating sessions, as well as skating lessons and Ice hockey practices and games. General Admission with skate rentals is $30 per skater, but an annual pass for open skating (with skate rentals) can be had for $349. UTC Ice skaters can receive parking validation for a total of four hours of free parking. I skated on some the best ice rinks in the New Jersey and New York when I was younger, as well as on ponds and lakes in the winter. From what I have observed, UTC Ice is a very nice facility.
