Just got back from here. Skated for many, many years then an accident put an end to that. Now that I'm mostly healed, it's time to roll again with some new skates. I didn't have a ton of money, but the salesperson (I forgot to ask her name) was super cool and understanding. As a skater herself, she was super knowledgeable about all the different brands and setups. She hooked me up with a great pair of skates and didn't try to oversell or cross-sell. No pressure, no hassle, just an excellent experience all around. I'd definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great set of skates and honest, helpful staff. Great skate shop! My friend was in town and the wheel on his luggage broke. He asked me to bring him to Sin City Skates to look for a replacement wheel. Who knew that you can do that?! When we arrive, we asked for what he needed and the person helping us immediately asked if it was for luggage. Then she proceeded to instruct us what to do to make the wheels work. We went back to his hotel and sure enough, everything worked just as she said. A++ customer service. I haven't roller skated in over 20 years and thought I would take it up again. I looked for skates on line and ran across Sin City Skates and I'm so thrilled I did. When I went to the store I didn't know what to expect but it was such a great experience. Mo was super helpful asking me questions and answering all of my questions to figure out the best skates for me. They didn't have my size in the skates I wanted but Ralphie ordered it for me and it was there in a couple days. I got some accessories but the girls were not pushy in any way and the prices were reasonable. Ralphie set up my skates quickly and gave me some pointers. I can't recommend this store enough. Father's Day 2024. I took a chance and drove an hour to this place. I was very happy I did. Mo was the person who helped me that morning. I knew I was going to leave happy and satisfied the moment she started answering with the knowledge I expected to be answered. She was not pushy about selling. She was making sure I want what I want. I own Suregrip derby skates that I bought from Sin City last year. I use them for outdoor rink skating and they've held up well. I rolled into Sin City Skates today to try on a pair of boardwalk skates for fun, and found a pair that fit well! Same size as my derby ones. They do well on my wide set feet. The boardwalk style are noticeably lighter in weight than the derby ones. Customer service was amazing like before. They helped us select skates, offered advice on breaking them in, and showed us how to remove and adjust the toe stops. My sister came along and also bought a pair of Riedell skates. She also has wide feet and found hers in a D width men's size in black. Can't wait to use my skates at the local rink! read more

Great experience! I got my first pair of skates from Sin City, and I'm so glad I decided to shop local instead of ordering Amazon. Updated... ~ We were looking to purchase/place orders. We weren't the unhappy customers looking for repairs, that must have been someone else.~ The Owner/Operator has lost her passion and didn't want our business. We eMailed multiple times with requests to visit the shop to purchase new skates for my daughter and plates for myself, we received no response. After about a week we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and visited the shop with hopes that they had better customer service in person. We stopped in and she kicked us out. I understand with COVID-19 she was only allowed a limited number of people in her shop (which is a storage unit) however we were the only ones there and she said the next customer wasn't expected for a little over an hour. We went to the other skate shop in town and spent our money there. I purchased skates and gear at $488. Returned them brand new and unused because I realized skating wasn't my thing. My mom passed away unexpectedly and I had to go to her funeral in Georgia.
