I found their ad on Craigslist and reached out via text on a Thursday asking about a cleanup visit for my small back yard and then regular maintenance visits through the growing months. The reply I received said, "If your available I can stop by on Saturday around 9-10 am for a free estimate?" I agreed, provided my bae and address, and they replied, "sounds good, see you Saturday." Saturday morning comes around and no arrival or word. I send a text at about 10:30a to say, "Hey there- sorry it didn't work out this morning. I have to head out for the day. Thanks anyways!" however I notice that, while all previous messages had been sent via iMessage on my phone, this last one was green and sent as a text message leading me to believe the guy flaked the morning of and didn't want to deal with it so he blocked my phone number. I would have appreciated the heads up so I didn't wait around. Their bid was middle of the line and they honored it 100%. Seriously, my yard was a royal wreck, and my roof and gutters were on the verge of giving me guilt. These guys are a "Mow, Blow and Go" outfit. I hesitate to refer to Carlos' business as a "service." I now understand how this works if done regularly. If you just rip the tops off the weeds (at least those you can recognize as weeds), next time you just hand pull again - no one is the wiser. I wanted - and stated- I wanted weeds to be dug out. The dirt was never disturbed. Carlos agrees with everything you say, then just does what he wants. Which is the bare minimum. If you're OK with $200/hr. for two guys, then this "service" is for you. Pretty reasonable, good solid work. I had asked to have my edges done, but their big powerful metal edging tool broke while they were doing this, so they hauled off some extra wood from my yard and gave me a bit of a discount for it. They pulled blackberries by the roots, trimmed up all the shrubs, and mowed my huge yard. Hard-working, honest guys. All with no pesticides, plus they were careful with the salamanders and snakes in the wood pile, 'cuz they're my lil' nature babies, and they keep my yard pest-free mostly. :) read more

I GIVE IT ONE STAR TO GET MY REVIEW POSTED. have read all the reviews before having the guys work on mu yard. We agreed to have my yard clean, to kill the weeds, to put the black material under bark dust so that the weed never grow out. I was confirmed the chemicals was sprayed. And guess what? Not even a piece of weed was killed. I discovered that they did not put the black rubber (or whatever is called) completely in my front yard. The bark dust was not spread evenly, and everywhere. I showed Carlos and seemed like he did not get it. Anyway, after several messages, he came back to put some more bark dust but did not communicate with me. I was not aware he did that. How could he get on somebody's property without notifying the landlord? I feel like these guys don't care about their client. Now I am stuck with the weeds because its even more difficult to remove it with the bark dust. Not sure where they got those five stars; they might have been from friends or relatives. read more

I am so happy I found Carlos and hired him and his crew to clean up my yard! He responded right away to my request, came the next day for me to show him what I needed done, gave me an estimate on the spot, and came back and knocked it all out two days later! I don't t hink they weeded at all, simply talked me into mulch so they could hide everything with a thin layer. Mulched on top of areas that were graveled. Clearly made no attempt to get rid of the blackberries. Took art pieces from the beds to mulch, which made sense, but left it all in the yard - no attempt to return it to where they found it. I employed Greenstars in March to help me take care of my one rental property. I initially paid $1100. to bring the yard into shape and remove blackberries. By July, the blackberries were growing back in the back and front yard. I asked them again to remove them. They charged me $300. plus the regular monthly fee of $ 110. I was at the property two weeks later, and it was clear that no work had been done in July. When I confronted Carlos about it, he stated the brown lawn didn't need care and he would get to the blackberries. I repeatedly emailed him that I wanted to know when he was going out to perform the work I paid for. HE HAS IGNORED MY REQUESTS. It is now the end of August and the blackberries are still growing wildly. The company charges for work it does not perform. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.. I called to have my yard cleaned up, trimmed etc. They arrived and the crew including the foreman barely spoke English. I walked them through my yard and gave them instructions on what I wanted done. They came two days after they promised they would, never called. They ended up CLEARING my yard!! They cut trees bushes everything down to nothing! My yard looks horrible. The foreman promised to fix it. Never showed, promised again to "be right by" never showed.
