There are so many better Tex-Mex places in Little Rock, so Santo Coyote is a one and done for us. Pros: The salsa and guacamole were both fantastic. The grilled steak and grilled chicken in the dishes were tasty too. The margaritas are huge. Cons: The "famous salad" came out not as described on the menu and the dressing was disgusting. (Since when is jalapeño ranch sweet?!) I put the guacamole on top instead. The portions tended to be on the smaller side even with $12-15 prices. Once again, the food was just ok. So, I understand that during Covid, I need to have some grace. However, I don't think my experience here has anything to do with Covid. My waitress was great. I had great service. The food, however, is bland and subpar. I ordered enchiladas and the Razorback margarita. The drink just tastes like cheap tequila. There's no pleasant flavor at all. The ground beef in the enchiladas has no seasoning at all. It's just loose ground beef rolled in a tortilla. The rice is so over cooked it looks like mashed potatoes. And the refried beans taste like they are straight out of a can. I live in this neighborhood and I haven't been here in 5 years because I didn't like it previously. I thought I'd give it another shot. Unfortunately, it was a waste of my time and money. If you're in this neighborhood and want decent Mexican food, pick any other place. read more

This is the worst carry-out experience I have ever had, and I have been eating here for years! I ordered over $20 worth of food for pick-up.The portion size was almost half of what you would normally receive. They gave me to-go salsa in an extra small condiment cup meant for ketchup or mustard (see the attached picture). The salsa was enough for a total of 4 chips! Then to make matters even worse, they charged me for plastic utensils with a carry out order! This is just ridiculous! The prices have increased, their serving sizes have decreased, and they add on additional charges for things that are supposed to be included with your order without telling you. The food is good but the masking is terrible. One worker no mask at all, another with it down on his chin, several more with it under their nose. Many constantly adjusting their masks (which are 'dirty') then touching things they serve customers - without first washing their hands. The chimichanga was well seasoned like I like it and the beans and rice were as expected, no surprise here. My friend is a vegetarian, so he ordered a Vegetarian Quesadilla with rice and beans which he enjoyed. He advised the vegetables were well seasoned. The queso dip did not meet my expectation. It was not as creamy and thick as I like. Actually it was watery with no flavor. Drinks - I ordered the grande Jalapeno Margarita ($13.99) which was very spicy (as expected) but it was missing the sweetness that should accompany the drink.i prefer the spicy, sweet mix. Later I ordered the grande Patron Perfect Margarita which was as good as expected. My friend had the Corona Rita grande ($12.99) which he enjoyed. I wasn't Wow'd by my 1st visit here, but I left happy, full, and a little tipsy. The chips are crisp and warm and the salsa is decent, with a heat level just above a raw tomato. They have 99 yummy looking drinks on the menu, but a pitcher of their basic house margarita ain't one. A 6 year old could drink the whole pitcher and still build a complicated LEGO structure. Next, we moved deeper into the drink menu and found a few gems to warm us up. The four pot dip sampler was, okay. I liked the weird Chilli looking one and the queso blanco was ...er, cheesy. The stellar service and the fantastic Combo Fajitas sent my yelp review from "meh" to marvelous! Now, I'm anxious to go back and try a few other dishes. She was sweeping around our table while we were attempting to enjoy the food, which I thought was very uncouth and unsanitary. Food not as advertised - their burrito that is supposedly "filled with black beans, rice, tomatoes, lettuce, and a meat" came as a soggy tortilla with nothing inside and had all the toppings scattered on the plate; when we tried to send it back we were told "that's how we serve it." Additionally we found random bits of corn and peas in a taco dish that did not feature those items; lastly, they failed to follow simple "no jalapeño/meat/etc" instructions.
