Closed?? We have visited Ponce 4 times since 2020, each time going to this restaurant and loving it! The food and ambiance was some of the best we found in Ponce. This time we went by and were dismayed that it looked to be closed for at least several months. It's April, and they still had happy holidays written on the window. Vegetation was growing in the drive way... so we guessed it's been at least 4 months since it's been open. We really hope they are just renovating and will be open next time we come. read more

The place was friendly, opened space not too loud, subtle music. I went there with the family and had a good time. Staff was friendly. Service was quick. Menu was varied. I recommend the Mar y Tierra with a mango mojito. The ambience was great the sound of the waves near the mini beach that they have with lounge chairs was relaxing. We had a good experience. Price range in the mid pricey range. But overall it was a good experience. Parking space is horrible specially if you vehicle is big. read more

There are four seafood restaurants a short drive down PR-2 from the Holiday Inn in Ponce. We checked out three of them (La Monserrate, Pito's Seafood Café, and Santorini Ocean Lounge). La Monserrate and Santorini's were wonderful. To start with, you get to dine right on the beach. The view is simply incredible. Our server was great, too. For appetizers, we had pita bread and hummus and the greek salad. I particularly liked the greek salad. For our entrees we had the churrasco, the grouper (white fish), the pasta with shrimp, and the grilled scallops. Each comes with vegetables and your choice of side dish (greek rice, or tostones). Everyone loved their food *except* the scallops. They have an extensive wine list, too. If you are coming from the north, you will see an exit marked for the Holiday Inn. Shortly thereafter you will hit an intersection with a traffic light. Make a U-turn at the light. The restaurant entrance is right on the highway, just north of Pito's Seafood Cafe. OK everybody this was a big surprise to me. You can tell when you take your first bite of something that not only the guy in the kitchen is doing this for a paycheck this is his passion. All the essential flavors you expect are there. I was not let down at all. I have known Greek food all my life. It is one of those things that just reminds me of my childhood. There are a few things that I think can be added to the menu to enhance the total experience. Like maybe spanakopita or kolokitho keftedes. But I left this place so full and content I wish I had room for desert. Maybe on my next visit I might have to spend a day in the kitchen to add to this up and coming chefs repertoire. Of all the restaurants in Ponce in that little strip of 3 or 4 by the Holiday Inn this is by far the best. The night we went they had live jazz in the outdoor dining area overlooking the ocean. Not too bad. The food was good and the portions plentiful. It was fairly empty so the service was good. The entrees are a mixture of greek and Puerto Rican although you could get just Greek or just Puerto Rican if you wanted to. I wasn't that hungry so I had a perfectly good lobster gyro.The have a large craft beer variety although you need to go pick it out yourself as the waitress didn't know what the list was. All in all, if you were forced to go to the same place twice, I would choose this. read more

First off, I have to say the location was amazing. Eating right on the beach practically! So cool! And lounge chairs & couches right on the sand? Amazing. Beautiful restaurant, too. Next, the food really wasn't bad. We are huge fans of Greek food back home. This was gourmet-priced Greek food but not the best we've had in our opinion. The reason the rating is so low is really because of our server. We only interacted with the one woman the entire night, & not only was she slow the ENTIRE time (it took her almost 30 mins to get back with a $100 bill to exchange with a card, among other things (&, no, it wasn't busy. Almost empty)), but she was completely unfriendly & despondent. SO deadpan & flat! Not professional at all. She wasn't reliable or pleasant. read more

Went for lunch while in Ponce for work. We were the only customers at the restaurant. Almost an hour later there was no food and a lot of hunger. Service was terrible! Very poor. Too bad...because the food was very good and the ambiance by the sea is great. Not going back until I hear they got their act together. read more

We went here for lunch. We were literally the only people in the restaurant, more staff than customers so you would think the service would be spot on, nope. Ate here big a large group teammates,we were told that they could handle the size group and that it wouldn't be an issue . Well ,2.5 hours later our food barely came out . The staff were under overwhelmed and rude . We tried to make the best it. I ordered the Pallela , $19 all I got was one cup of rice ,4 shrimp and 3 clams. I don't mind paying but come on! We went here for lunch a few days ago and had a wonderful meal...so good in fact we wanted to come back. We came for dinner and sat outside this time and started with an appetizer. It took about 20mins which seemed long but it was fairly good so we didn't mention the wait. After an hour we became irritated and asked when our meal was going to come. The place was very empty with only a handful of tables. By the time the server brought the dinner out it was so dark outside we couldn't see our meal. I asked for a candle so we could see what we were eating which was a good thing because i immediate noticed our shell fish was not cooked. We showed the waiter how gelatinous the meat was and he agreed it was very raw. He left to show the chef and we were left waiting again with a plate of rice...which just got cold. We flagged him down and said we were not going to wait another hour for our meal. He apologized and brought our bill. Usually i don't complain about paying for what i ordered, but in this case i thought they could have at least comped our appetizer for wasting our entire evening, but they didn't so we ended up paying 50 dollars for a few glasses of wine and a small appetizer... We left angry and hungry. Our first time there was really good, the second trip erased any memory of the positive experience. Beware that this place is a hit or miss and there are several restaurants in the same area that may be more consistent. read more

The Santorini is not a long drive from the heart of Ponce down Route 2. It is sited on the beach, shaded by tall trees. Whether your table is on the top floor veranda or the patio, you have a beautiful view of the sea. The hummus and tzatziki dips, the keftaides (meatballs), and calamari appetizers were good. Beautiful view! I ordered the hummus and greek salad and they were both generous sizes and tasty. My partner ordered the pulpo appetizer and the squid was overcooked and hard - I would expect more from a $30 dish. The service was absolutely horrible. it took over 45 min once we asked for our check to finally pay. I had been to Pito's Seafood Cafe next door twice before so we decided to try here. In our party of four, two shared a lobster, I had the salmon daily special, and one had the churrasco gyro. We were all happy with our meals and service. The lobster was perfectly prepared and melted in your mouth if you can believe it (yes I had a sample). The mango sangria was very good. The bizcocho (brownie cake with ice cream and whipped cream) was fantastic! It's covered open air setting was very pleasant and peaceful directly on private beach. Prices were ok. This place is the exact opposite of "value for money". Total rip off. We arrived in the afternoon for a late lunch from San Juan, hoping to eat Greek food. The food this place offers is only remotely related to the Greek cuisine. Everything is overpriced. We ordered calamari which was not fresh at all. My husband had a totally tasteless koftedes. The service was good, but food was not up to expectations. Paid $56 for a 2 lb mushy, off-flavor lobster that was evidently not fresh. We let the waiter know but they weren't able to do anything for us. The side dishes were also below average quality compared to other restaurants in the area. My significant other, who is Greek, and I, a boricua, decided to go to Santorini in our first trip together to the island. I'm from the south, so this place wasn't far away from us. The first time we went it was closed. The website has no info about their schedule, neither their yelp profile. It opens Wednesday to Sundays from 11am to 11pm. Before leaving we decided to go again. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, it was okay. I don't think it was fresh, but it wasn't that bad. As entree, we had churrasco encebollado and moussaka. Both were really good. The churrasco was tasty and tender. Try it with tostones de panapén. Those are the best. It was my first time trying moussaka, and my partner told me this one was really good. Too much cheese on the top, though. Their baklava is very good. I think one of my favorites. The only complain we have is that there was only one waiter assisting all the tables. We waited a lot to receive the menu, then water...and even the check. read more

The restaurant has a very very nice view and setting to the beach and ocean. We were a couple and we're not in a hurry on eating something and leaving. We ordered Hummus and plantains stuffed with lamb as appetizers and Greek Fest as one of the dishes (lamb,hummus, Greek salad, potatoes) and the other one was Lamb Chops with asparagus and plantain (tostones). First of all, both appetizers we're excellent!! the hummus to me is amazing as in flavor and consistency. Lamb chops were spectacular, flavor and tenderness!! Not even in Vegas!!
