These plants are larger than at its sister nursery, Oasis, in Escondido, so if you're looking for a bit more mature plants, make this your destination. It is way more than just a plant nursery. My husband and I like to come here on Sunday mornings and just sit by the ponds to just unplug , relax, and listen to the sounds of nature. It is such a good getaway from the over stimulization of everyday life. You can come here and just walk through all the pretty flowers and plants or have a picnic on their many picnic tables. You can buy fish food from the front desk to feed the fishes and turtles in the pond. On every first Saturday of every month they have "free succulent Saturday" which is a local makers market with all kind of different treasures. Every adult can get a pick of a succulent and they are a decent size! I was surprised! They also do kids crafts and have food and drinks for sell. I would also follow their Instagram as they have classes throughout the year. All in all, Waterwise is a place you surely do not want to skip out on if you like nature, plants,free things to do, or just looking for something the whole family could enjoy!

Found this nursery through Facebook Marketplace. After a few weeks of research, I believe this…read moreplace had the cheapest price and value for the type of fruit plants I was looking for. I contacted through FB Messenger (Bill?) as well as text messages. After a hour drive, I ended up with a rio red grapefruit, oro blanco grapefruit, hass avocado, olallieberry and blueberry plants. I was told by Bill that the olallieberry grows good since I was looking for another berry plant. In person, I was slightly disappointed because it didn't have any flower or fruit but my girlfriend encouraged me to just get it. I'm hoping it will show signs of fruiting soon because my blackberry and blueberry plants are already fruiting. All 5 plants still needed a little bit of pruning at home because some or part of the leaves were eaten by unknown pests. Ended up with 4 mosquito bites as well. My only complaint would be the employee there didn't speak or understand much English. The good thing was another customer arrived shortly after, spoke Spanish and helped us translate. GPS to the address was correct for the most part except where it ends. It will take you to a locked gate just a little bit past the orange cones. Instead of following GPS all the way to the end, look for the orange cones and park on the dirt road to the side. The orange cones is where the entrance is at. I may be back for other fruit plants in the future.

There's a fruit tasting table and I remember the first time I came in and tasted some fruit I'd never even heard of before. If you're a foodie or if you enjoy rare or tropical fruit or even if you're a fan of botanical gardens, this place is amazing It's a mom and pop place (actually just a pop place cause I think the owner Steve who started it still runs it by himself). The sign said they have been here since the 80s. Anyway because it's a small nursery and open 7 days a week, it's a good idea to call if you're planning to make a long journey to visit just to make sure they haven't stepped out. It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. I even just like walking around in there to relax cause it's almost like a fruit botanical garden. My deceased mother was a big gardener and used to come here for chili plants, guava, lemon, orange…read moreand lime , avocado trees. Unfortunately, we lived in Encinitas so the climate didn't allow the avocado to thrive but she loved getting Asian/Hawaiian plants, and fruits from this nursery. The scene that will greet you is a dirt path and two-sided parking spaces. Try them, very wooded and dense, like you are in the forest, which I loved since I am from back East and we have huge trees and green wooded areas. The staff are very knowledgeable and the value is great. If your plant doesn't grow, call them, and they guide you or replace the plant. I love this place. If I had a house, I would be here for my roses and fruit plants.
