I waited over 20 hours and I was not told about something happening to my body I have every right to know about. You have been a surgeon for how long? You know how you present surgeries. This was intentionally left out otherwise I would of known if this was discussed at my consultation. Don't ever think because you are a surgeon you can just do whatever without discussion. You created a false sense of security. You continued woth surgery when I would of left you violated my rights and body and have taken away my trust in anyone for surgery ever again. I am not grateful, or thankful for you and not a day does by where I wish I knew what hospital I could go to where I am respected as a patient and human being. You and your team were awful that day. Maybe if your team was upfront and honest that things would of been different. Both of my children were born outside of a traditional hospital setting and needed to come in for exams within 48 hours of birth and Dr. Grillo was able to accommodate us both times. With our firstborn daughter there were some concerns about jaundice and getting breastfeeding started and we were in and out of the office a lot. Dr. Grillo gave us her cell number at one point, which totally blew my mind. What doctor does that?! She's great with the kids, and has been okay with my wanting to delay some of my kids' vaccinations so they're not getting 5 at a time. (I am not anti-vax; I just think things are going smoother for us spacing them out a bit differently.) Dr. Grillo's office is easy to get to, and we've never had a hard time getting in for an appointment or parking or anything.
