We did not get what we paid for, and nobody from management took the time to address our issues. The issue we had- nobody notified us that the pool would be closed for the week. There was a posted notice on the property (see below) but obviously we don't live here, so we didn't know. My girls love swimming at the pool so this was very important to us. I added screen caps of texts with Vacasa. As you can see, they don't even try to contact me to resolve the issue. The one morning I got to use the pool with my children the staff was rude to me when I wanted to enter the pool 1 minute before 9 am. This place is plastered with threats of fines and fees. They are very happy to take your money but not work with you when something goes wrong. With all the fees it costs around $600 a night to stay here. For that kind of price they need to address issues when they come up. read more

Evencia from Cedar Park, Texas January 2025 Group trip UNIT #205 This AirBNB was simply marvelous! Majestic view of the beach and ocean. Beautifully furnished and the decor was artistic and lovely. Two bedrooms and a master bedroom with each having great bathrooms and walk in showers. I must say the bed we slept in was the best I have slept in at a BNB or three four or five star hotel in the USA or over seas. The kitchen was very nice and very functional appliances, stove with everything you needed for preparing meals. The host did an excellent job in the various amenities and or items that were found on counters, drawers, the bathrooms. The weather turned very cold before we departed, but we who stayed here or the guests who visited for a day were so comfortable and relaxed in our get together and we left knowing it was a special occasion to have had our mini vacation here. The desk is always manned. They will supply fresh towels whenever they are requested. They are not very strict about their mask policies, and I was annoyed by the parade of maintenance men with no mask. Overall, would definitely return. read more

We stayed in Condo 201 at SunTide III. It's a beautiful 3 bed 3 bath condo on the second floor on the corner. There is a perfect view of the beach from the patio and the sound of the waves with the door open is amazing. The amenities at the complex are great! There are 2 pools, hot tubs, a sauna and even tennis and basketball courts. The condo is light and airy and it is a perfect place to stay while on South Padre Island. We had a family of 8 stay in a condo at at Suntide lll. We were going to a weddin. The condo was pretty but they have a scam going on where my granddaughter had a boot put on her vehicle that cost $100 to take off then one of our guests they were trying to charge him for parking a golf cart there. We were on the elevator with a very nice couple who also had a boot put on their vehicle. We were not trying to cause issues at all as we were excited about the Wedding of my Son the next day. Be ware of the front desk trying to pocket some extra money. read more

We have rented here many times but will never again! This place is run down, front desk is curt and could care less about issues, and our place was awful. We had a repairman out twice within 48 hours! There is tile missing on the back deck with tools all over the place & a huge tub of putty. We were told it had to stay!! Dangerous! Booked our room on May 10th for a June 30th-July 2nd stay. $1,077. We were going with our family who booked at the same time. Fast forward to a week or so before our trip and our family calls about a question and find out that even though they were charged, their suite was booked out to someone else. 24 hours later they get a new room, so we're good to go. I call about my suite and sure enough the same thing had happened. I was charged, but the room wasn't booked. I talked to either the owner or the manager who was oversees but helping to answer the phones. He apologized and even upgraded our suite, which was super nice. I noted that the upgraded suite didn't have enough beds, as we had booked one with two additional beds. He assured me that they'd have a rollout bed. We check in the day of around 10:30pm and see there's no additional beds, so we're short. I call the front desk and they said they don't have authorization to give us the bed and that she has to wait for the manager to confirm. I call back, it's now midnight and again I'm told she can't do anything right now but will call me as soon as she works it out. 30 minutes later, we're exhausted, and my husband goes down and asks if we can at least get some blankets, and we'll just sleep on the couch. Nope. They're locked away. Perfect. Next day, not a peep from them so again, two of us are sleeping on the couch, no blankets or extra pillows. Needless to say, it was a rough trip. Not worth the $1,077 and don't recommend staying here until they get more coordinated. read more

We have stayed here for 25 years, this will be the last time. We drive 800 plus miles, on our way down to SPI my husband gets a text to please call the office. The office person gave my husband a song and dance that the room we booked, had a broken air conditioner and they could not get a hold of the owner of the unit That was a lie, all systems are shared on each floor. We saw people staying in the room we originally booked. We had no stopper for the sink to wash dishes, no dish towels, and every pan and dish was dirty and needed washed before we could cook. WIFi would not work, my husband made 3 different trips to the front office, as they would not give us the codes on the phone. ( It never worked) The front desk told my husband "We are bring the things you need", needless to say it never came.We received a parking ticket where we have always parked and staff relayed we could park, if this is not bad enough we actually saw a Suntide employee place a parking boot on a car at 10 pm at night .My son in law had a shirt fall onto another balcony and the front desk employee said she would send someone to get the shirt and return it to him, over 24 hours went by and still the shirt was hanging on the other units balcony. I dislike people that lie!!! Our room had holes in the walls, trash disposal stank, stucco is falling off the patio, lounge chairs are broken. This has new management, they are not consumer friendly. So please stay away from this place. The pictures on the internet look wonderful and it used to be a wonderful place, management is everything thing. Suntide III has no clue. read more

We are renting a condo for a couple of days to relax. The condo is two bedroom two bathroom. The condo itself is clean and works for us. The master has a king bed and the second bedroom has two queens. The pool is nice. The front desk staff are very helpful-we are looking forward to a pleasant stay. Now for the problems-we rent 2 umbrellas and 5 beach chairs for our two day visit. They are supposed to be available from 9 to 5. We come out at 9:40 or so and nothing is set up. We finally locate the staff member assigned to set up the chairs. He keeps saying something about 9 even though it is way after 9. We come back in the afternoon and 1 umbrella and 2 chairs are gone. Again we have to track someone down. What a hassle! After the beach, we go to the pool. We enjoy the pool until workers raise a couple of scaffolds next to the pool and start blasting dust and debris. Great, thanks Next day, we wait until afternoon to go to the beach-no umbrellas or beach chairs. Once again, the employee at the front desk is extremely helpful and finally we get our chairs and umbrellas. Another negative is that parking is very limited. Overall Suntide III has a great location, the front desk staff are very good and our condo was clean and equipped with the essentials. Another great thing is that it is located down the block from the grocery store. We checked out today-we were still charged the full amount for the umbrellas and beach chairs even-though, they were not available for at least half of the time. read more

I should have booked a block away for half the price. I am staying at Suntide III condo 706 with my family. We drove 6 hours to be here. We asked for an early check in (check in is at 4 and we asked for early meaning an hour - to check in between 3 and 4). I was supposed to get an email this morning confirming the check in. NOTHING. I emailed the owners through Airbnb and nothing. Called the property manager and after he wasn't the most pleasant person, was told that we had to wait to check in. It is nit 3:45 and although no one is up there, we have to wait. This is definitely a 1 and done. The customer service and the compassion for the guests is TERRIBLE. I would never recommend staying here and we haven't even gotten into the unit. read more

Overall the Condo we rented was ok. A little run down and dated but not too bad. My biggest disappointment was the management not enforcing the beach rules. We travel to South Padre to enjoy the wonderful ocean view and we payed a healthy sum of money for beach chairs. ($100.00 to be exact). First day at the beach we had a bunch of tents set up in front of the Condo seating. Second day same thing happened once again! People are breaking the law and setting up their tents way before 9am and the management doesn't do a darn thing, they simply stick your Umbrellas and chairs behind all the tents! So much for your view! All the other Condos we saw did not allow Tents to be set up as you can see by the great views they have. Well for me lessons learned and this will be the last time we stay here sorry to stay because the Island itself is awesome. Time to shop for a new Condo on South Padre! read more

Highly disappointed during this stay. The property itself has a great location and good staff. The units themselves vary and the card we drew was a bad one. We chose to travel here based on previous experience and the guarantees of strict cleaning and other COVID precautions. This was NOT delivered, our condo (707) was not clean when we arrived. We called the front desk and spent the first 2 hours of our stay with multiple people in and out of our condo cleaning and making repairs. We reached out to Turnkey and asked to me moved and even offered to pay any difference in price. Turnkey refused and instead offered to buy us lunch for our trouble. As much as we have liked Suntide III I would recommend avoiding any and ALL Turnkey properties as their customer service is abysmal and they DO NOT stand behind their product. read more

During our last visit, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and went out of her way to get on to us for rules she made up on the spot. Our family which consists of about 6 condos at a time has been staying here for past 20 years and this trip will be the last. You get 1 roll of toilet paper for a weeks stay, one of our cars was booted, one towed with no warning (permit fell in seat), at least 2 roaches killed a day in our condo, terrible beds (completely worn out that sink in the center), water turned off for hours during the day, electricity went out with no explanation or updates for over an hour at dinner time. And required wristbands now? We are families not spring breakers. Sad to see this family tradition go elsewhere but this place leaves us no choice. read more

We have stayed here several times, and while it has its limitations, it is quality for the right price. Cons: 1. Not enough of certain non reusables (quick store trip fixes that) 2. Some old or broken appliances that they can take a while to fix. 3. They need to expand the parking lot badly. Pros: 1. Great great great views, particularly higher up but every balcony just has a phenomenal view of the water. This condo is super nice and the staff is very nice. The downside is the WiFi not really working in the room we were sleeping in. The pool was great and the beach access was nice to have. Overall it was a good condo to stay in for 3 nights. It wasn't too far away because my partner and I walked to different stores and it wasn't that bad of a walk to and from. Good area. Just finished our week stay at Suntide III, and let's just say we will not be going back. Second year in a row our rooms have not been ready at check-in time. Having to wait 1-2hrs in limbo after a 5hr drive isn't ideally something you want when you go to check in. Parking is the second complaint. Although your rooms accommodate up to 8 people, you're only allowed one covered space, and one outside the gate. The rest of your guests, good luck finding a space! The condo will definitely have their guests w/o permits towed! Third complaint, the condo locks all their beach access gates til 9am!!! Fire hazard much?! I thought we paid thousands of dollars for beach access? Nope! Coffee or running on the beach before 9a, you will have to go around to the FRONT OF THE CONDO to go through a public beach access!! Wow!! Fourth complaint, hotel wristbands?!? Apparently they give you wristbands that you must keep on during your stay otherwise you'll get yelled at like my nephew did! They said it's for pool access, nope, he was just walking in the lobby and the GM Rene Rodriguez, who wasn't very concerned with good customer service, because when my sister went down he didn't seem to care and gave her a major attitude. So it kind of became a joke the rest of the week "don't go down, you don't have your wristband!!!" Haha! Or "hey, you better have your wristband or you're going to jail!!" And last but not least, the city ordinance that just passed last year, No canopies before 9am. Hence, why the condo won't let their guests out before then. Buuuut their hired paid-for umbrella guys don't have to wait behind the gate til 9am!!! This is what boggles my mind! These guys go around to the public beach access (which is what you have to do, if you wanna claim a spot early) and get a head start, while the guests who don't know about the public beach access, are stuck behind the gate until the maintenance guy comes and unlocks it! HOW IS THAT FAIR! But hey, that's extra money for the condo, screw everybody else! One of the days, I looked down and saw a guest climbing over the gate! I was like woah! Turned out they didn't have the key to unlock the beach access and it was already 9:15am! They had to come with sheers to cut the lock off! Poor guests! By that time the whole beach front of the condo was taken! We stayed on the 12th floor in one of the penthouses, it was so outdated! For as much as we paid I guess the only thing we paid for was the square footage. We joked that it looked like you're walking into the 70's! Well that's my review, I tried to give as much feedback as possible to help you make a decision. I will say they do provide a nice view of the bayside fireworks on thurs/fri!
