Hospice provided transportation to Dobson home using a third party transport company. The transport van was not meant for transporting humans. We live in Arizona and the temperature was over 100 degrees when they literally shoved my father in the back of a non air conditioned van. When I say shove I mean aggressively slamming him into the van repeatedly. If I was there this would not have been allowed to happen but unfortunately I wasn't. What happened to my dad was abusive and careless.

The week that he spent here after being transferred from adjacent Mercy Gilbert was the best possible way to say goodbye to a beloved man who was suffering through months of metastatic cancer. The interior itself is warm and inviting: each room has a private bath, and French doors opening to a patio; we spent many hours taking a moment in nature, or getting a breath of air on the latter. There's a den with a fireplace, and a large kitchen where you can cook for your loved one, if they can eat. We were able to visit or stay 24/7, and the staff was beyond incredible; we were even allowed to bring the dog to visit, which were some of the most special moments of the week he was there. Through several personal experiences, at hospice both in and outpatient across three states, I can safely say that entrusting your loved one to this inpatient facility will be the best possible experience, at the worst possible time for a family. Special shout out to Nurse Charlotte, who radiates kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Hospice workers are a special kind of healthcare worker, and I tremendously admire the skill set and personality traits they bring to the table.

The nurses at Lund Home cared for my grandma with kindness and dignity--she was clean, comfortable,…read moreand peaceful in their care. For that, we are grateful. Our concern is with the evaluation process. Despite our clear wishes for her to remain at Lund Home, the doctor and social worker decided to transfer her back to her memory care unit. The social worker even told us, "it wasn't her time to pass" and she had "2-4 weeks left." We begged and pleaded for her to stay in their care till her end of life. After being transported back to her memory care unit, that very night she declined, and she passed away the following morning. The doctor never returned our calls, and our concerns were completely disregarded. It was clear to us that Lund Home is run more like a business than an end-of-life care facility. While the nursing staff was wonderful, the decision-making and communication from the evaluation team were devastating and unacceptable. Families deserve honesty, respect, and compassion during such a difficult time, and we did not receive that here. We will never return to the Lund Home and strongly urge others to seek a different option for their loved ones.

They did not properly treat acute constipation, did not treat a fungal sore on his hip, did not treat him for a nasty sore on his heel, and furthermore, did not inform me of it. For all three problems, I had to step in and rattle them into action. Otherwise, these issues would remain unaddressed. It appears they are just waiting for him to die untreated.

Beware of these THIEVES. They charged for services that were not delivered. They stole property…read morefrom my mother, as well as charged us for rent beyond her stay. I gave them a 30 day notice that we would be leaving, but they failed to adjust the last months billing to reflect the move out date. Then the next month, after I turned off the automatic billing in the payment system they charged another month to our account. The manager of this site, Logan, is a liar and a dirtbag. He never once followed through on anything, and he accused me of being the problem. He accused me of stealing the wheelchair that I bought on their demand, and claimed he had video evidence. I'm sure he did see me take the wheelchair out with my mother, but that's not evidence that I stole the chair. They did return the money after I called them out 2 weeks after they stole our money. I'm still going to have to go to small claims court for the services that they documented that they didn't do. If you love the person you are caring for, then DON'T GO HERE!
