His response was to use his closing-document attorney to send us a nasty and harassing email threatening us if we persisted in our reasonable request! That misguided action speaks volumes as to the judgment of Owen Welch -- any decent person would have just sent us the information as to our rights, but instead he preferred to deny those rights to us while having taken a large fee for doing very little work selling our former residence. We wanted a realtor who will be straight with us and tell us what to expect and call us out when we're being unrealistic. Kelly has helped us through every step of the way and tells us when to push back or when to move on. No transaction is perfect and this one is no exception, but we really felt supported by Kelly and Lynnsey. Responsiveness and attention to detail are also strong points. I personally sent Kelly a plethora of questions (she can vouch for this statement) and she always gets back to me quickly or tells me when she will. She's on top of the transaction and always follows up without need for prompting. This is an exceedingly rare quality that should not be overlooked. The beginning - preparation: We asked Kelly for a realistic idea of what we could sell our home for. She gave us a good idea of what to expect and how upcoming market changes may impact the market or our sale price. She came to walk through our home multiple times to give staging advice even before the stager came. She really did everything possible to help us know how to best position our home to sell. The middle - emotional rollercoaster: During selling we had multiple contracts fall through due to flaky buyers. Kelly really empathized with our struggles and was there for us along the way. She worked back with her broker and got me on a call with the broker who explained a few strategies to implement to reduce contract churn. Ultimately those strategies worked and we got a contract to stick. This speaks to the willingness of the team to think outside the box for creative solutions based on current market conditions. The end - closing: Even up until the last moments we experienced turbulence. Again Kelly stepped in to help us understand which items to put our foot down on, because at the time we are listing, going back on the market would be detrimental to our bottom line. She kept the big picture in mind when we were being emotional and she helped us keep the ultimate goal in mind. I cannot overstate how amazing Kelly has been in that regard to help ground us and help us make the most rational decision during an emotional and personal process of moving your family. We still have a few weeks left in our journey and I have the utmost faith we will get through and be very happy in our new home.
