The girl standing outside the storefront called me over to ask me to check out their colognes and perfumes. Sure. Why not? I was Christmas shopping after all. Shows me a cologne, asks me if I think it smells nice, when I agreed it did, she immediately rang it up on the spot for purchase: $169. I didn't agree to buy it, especially when I don't know the price beforehand. Oh sure, she offered a multitude of gifts and bonuses and everything else, but when I told her I wanted to think about it (I had been in the mall all of 10 minutes at this point), she immediately became rude. All the friendly customer service and conversation just abruptly stopped like I was dead to her. I thought about the interaction as I continued to walk through the mall. I'm still looking for gifts, but it won't be bought at this store.... Now, or ever. Aggressive sales tactics at their worst.
