I typically like this place but today they upset me. I raced over here to buy one thing. I knew exactly what I wanted. I arrived 5 minutes before they closed, which I know can be annoying, but I literally could have been in & out in 3 minutes. They wouldn't let me in because they had already counted the drawer. I have worked retail & I know it can be annoying when people come in late, but I honestly thought that they were open until 7. I like their products but probably won't come back. read more

This establishment had a wig that I actually liked, but I declined purchasing it because of the poor customer service I received. One woman was on her phone & pointed me down to the next register when I approached her register to buy a wig cap. Another woman basically decided not to help me when I asked her a question 2 different times. It was 9am in the morning on a Thursday morning, so the store wasn't booming with business. However, it was the worst service I recall ever getting from this Gold Beauty Supply honestly. It could've just been an off day or maybe people hadn't had their morning coffee, but either way, I'm writing this review in hopes that the poor service is addressed & that the staff gets coached. read more

Being truthful when they make a mistake. What I paid was not much but the fact I clearly asked and had just walked out and realized it was the wrong thing and then was told I could only do an exchange. I recently purchased 2 bundles of what I "thought" was 100% virgin HUMAN hair . Body wave. The packaging advised it could be dyed bleached or permed . I installed the hair blow dried the curls straight. I then proceeded to use my flat irons . With the 1st pass I noticed a few strands of hair . I went to another section and again I noticed residue and what looked to be melted hair on my flat irons. Please remove this from your shelves as this is a misrepresentation of the product you are advertising . I'd ask for my money back but the receipt advised no refund in bold letters . This is my favorite beauty supply store in the whole DFW metroplex! It so well kept, well stocked, and well managed. The prices are unbeatable. Not sure what shade of matte lipstick you want to try next? Why not get it all, since it's so affordable! I've never had an issue with the staff because I personally have never needed any assistance since everything is well organized and easy to find. I'd rather get lost in it all the products at my own leisure. Christmas is just around the corner, so what better place than here to get all your stocking stuffer essentials?! They have a lot of good quality wigs that would be a great alternative for Halloween as well!  I'm glad this place is in business because I will forever be a loyal customer! read more

The workers in here are Trash with a capital T. Rude and talk to customers any kind of way. If you don't like your job, then you need to go into a different kind of business. Coming to work everyday and trying to make customers as miserable as you- is not a good look at all. They will never have to worry about me stepping foot in that store again. read more

The owner has only employed Hispanic ladies for a beauty supply store catering predominantly to black ladies hair needs. This store has a big variety of products! It's a one stop shop for cosmetics, hair products, and even jewelry! They have many options for hair extensions in terms of brands and prices! Horrible horrible place to shop. Was told I was able to return something, no joke, I come back 20 mins later because I changed my mind. The manager said no refunds. Horrible. They close at 6 and I just arrived at 5:55 and the cashier says that they cannot let anyone else in because they have people in line. I explained that I just needed to grab some lashes and they refused to provide service. I'm sure she is not the owner so I don't understand why she made the decision to close early and refuse service to loyal paying customers! Okay, I've been shopping here for years and everything was great until TODAY. I bought a wig but didn't like how the cap was constructed. Mind you, this wig was not worn, and barley even touched. It has all the orginal packaging and is even still connected to the plastic hooks you have to take out to use it. I called and the lady who answered heard me out and said it was okay for me to exchange. However I had to wait because I work many days in a row. Anywho, I went there today and got 2 more wigs makeup and others things. Well when I got to the counter the woman behind it wouldn't exchange it. I told her that I called and she said her 'manager' said she couldn't. So I asked could I speak to the 'manager'. So she came I over and I explained again what happened. She then says I can talk the the manger when he comes back. At this point, I don't know who is the manger because I thought I was speaking to the manager. I asked if he was in break and they said 'I don't know, he went to the store or something.' That seemed odd to me, because usually managers/bosses tell their employees if they're going to lunch or how long they will be gone. Anywho, I spoke to another employee about it, a few minutes later and said she could take it back. However the 'manager' or who ever she is, ran up to her and said I couldn't do it and started talking and yelling in Spanish. So I'm like okay, either take it back or I can wait, because at this point Its ridiculous. I asked for the mangers name first and last name because I had to leave, and she said and I quote 'His name is Paul but that's all he tells us we don't know'. Their selection of good natural or virgin hair is all behind their sales counter and their customer service is very lacking. Either they are non-qualfied and are just trying to push hair onto you without caring if it's what you are looking for or their English needs a lot of improvement. The only reason I am giving them a 2 star is because their product pricing is better than most. But do not shop there for hair unless you have already picked it out somewhere else and you are price shopping. read more
