I visited this dentistry for the first time today, as I had purchased a Groupon for a teeth whitening. It was an amazing experience. Susie assisted me with the whitening - which was a very simple and painless experience. It was smooth "like butta". She was attentive in making sure I was comfortable and entertained (she grabbed headphones and a tablet to keep me busy while we had to wait for the bleach to set). Typically, Monday's are known to be awful. This is especially true when you can't drink coffee (the only downside to getting your teeth whitened). The combo of: going back to work after a relaxing weekend, a lack of caffeine, and being at the dentist - that usually calls for a bad morning. But Susie's wonderful sense of humor and wit made this Monday morning much better. And my teeth look great! I can guarantee I'll be back in the future. read more

Listen... I didn't feel a damn thing! That's a quote I kept on saying while sitting in the chair with Dr. Belderes. She's gentle and talks you through every movement she makes. I was referred to Dr. Belderes from a oral surgeon who did two implants for me. Afterwards I needed to find someone to do the crowns and abutments. I called several offices for quotes but when I called Dr. Belderes office she happened to pick up the phone. (Yeah I know! extra points for that!!) She made me feel so comfortable before even seeing her. I made the appointment right away and I swear... I didn't feel a damn thing! Dr. Belderes is a real pro! She is insightful and treats her patients like customers providing amazing service! She also involves them in their treatment. She openly shares X-rays taken and takes time to answer all questions. My first visit with her, she sat with me for a full exam, learning all about my history and examining every tooth. I met Dr Belderes at a chamber of commerce meeting and I liked her engaging personality. I have been using her dental services now for a few years and I feel that she is an expert dentist , very compassionate and definitely willing to work conservatively if your pocketbook can't afford everything. I do trust her recommendations and I have enjoyed her yearly program which gives you a 25% discount if you need anything else done that year. In looking for a new dentist several years ago I met some that just did not have very communicative personalities and others that wanted you to do all kinds of work on your mouth all at once to the tune of a lot of money. I left both of those offices not satisfied and the last one feeling taken advantage of. Dr Belderes has been a perfect fit for me and I highly recommend her office. I'm very happy Dr. Amberg is back in town! Good dentists are so hard to come by. I have tried 4 - 5 dentists in Encinitas and Carlsbad and felt herded through like cattle ... fill out the paperwork ... go to the x-ray room ... spend 3 minutes with the dentist ... then always ending up with the "financial consultant" who attempts to upsell and get signatures for approval to do the work. Oh you have additional questions about your teeth? The financial consultant can answer your questions. Dr. Amberg keeps it old school and actually has real consultations with his patients. You can speak to him ... and not some paper pusher ... about what needs to be done. He is honest and patient and spends the time needed so you feel comfortable and confident with what's going on. After Dr. Sarah took over ownership, I felt not wanted there. Dr. Sarah has been great but her dental assistant Shelley made me feel uncomfortable. Tara and Bri has been awesome. . Shelly asked me why I come to this place even though I live so far. I said Bri has been great with me for the past 3 years. Bri makes me feel welcomed but Shelley made me inferior. I'm not sure if I wanna come back to this office just because of Shelley. Not a good experience with Shelley. I might wanna look elsewhere. read more

I am a brand new patient and am astounded at how wonderful this office and its staff is toward their patients. I normally do not take well to the dentist office or dentist. I have had a gaunlet of detnist the pull it and save us all time, the ones that recommend treatment that may be beneficial but not the only option, and finally the ones that just made me feel bad about myself. I didn't get any of those vibes from any of the staff. I found them all to be kind, caring, and genuine persons. Even though it has changed hands, I'm very happy with the new owner Dr. Belderes and team. Their work is impeccable. I'm no expert on crowns, but the process of putting two crowns in my mouth went flawlessly, and painlessly.
