We couldn't have picked a better photographer to capture both our engagement shoot and wedding! We had some additional editing requests after the fact (annoying dress straps, anyone?), and she was able to remove those in every single photo in which they appeared. Sarah also brought Shannon as a second-shooter, who was so enjoyable to work with, also an amazing photographer, and very experienced in the makeup snafu category when my makeup went slightly wonky. Sarah is absolutely the best! So fun, professional, and wonderful to work with. She is AMAZING with color and makes you look 10 million times better than you do in real life (which was awesome because she shot our engagement photos and wedding photos)! She also did all of this with a SMILE ON HER FACE while battling cancer and undergoing chemo. If she hadn't told us, I would never have known - she was going a mile a minute and was so full of energy. You can really see how much she loves doing what she does! She's super thoughtful, very thorough, answers all your questions, is able to make you feel so comfortable that you get over the awkwardness of being followed around by someone with a camera and end up just being very genuine and laughing a ton during photoshoots. It helps that's she's really funny. She is also super open to suggestions, made sure to get all the shots we requested, and will make thoughtful decisions about how and where to take photos so that you look the best and the lighting works. During our wedding she and her assistant were everywhere taking photos, but she was never in your face about it. She got some wonderful candid shots of our guests as well. Her turnaround time is also so fast?! She got us our galleries so quickly and all the photos look so good! She's way better at responding to communication than I am too - something that's SOO important when deciding on your wedding vendors. Sarah was the BEST photographer we could have ever imagined for our engagement photoshoot and wedding! I contacted Sarah in the beginning of my wedding planning process after seeing how colorful and unique her photography style was. I knew I didn't want the same old dark and editorially Indian wedding photography style that most people do. I wanted to showcase the colors of everyone's outfits and have these beautiful moments captured in a way that made people go WOW. WOW was exactly what we got by picking Sarah to be our photographer! I was nervous to do our engagement photoshoot, because I had never done anything like it before, but I was stunned with how Sarah made my husband and I feel. First off, we wanted to have our shoot in Napa and it would be in an area that Sarah had not shot before. She made the trip up to Napa a couple days before and scouted for locations with colorful trees and the best lighting so when we got there on the shoot day, she knew exactly where to take us and made the whole time smooth and a breeze. Sarah is so FUN and HAPPY and it really made us feel comfortable being photographed by her. She told us exactly how to stand and pose and was so considerate when I told her about some of my insecurities of my body when I pose for a photo. I knew when we were done with the engagement shoot that she was going to be the best wedding photographer. When we got our photos back, I was stunned! Sarah asked if she could submit some photos to a couple bridal magazines and we got featured in MunaLuchi Bride! When it came time for the wedding, we had 2 big events: a Sangeet (pre-wedding reception full of dancing and good food) and then the Wedding Day. Sarah was always on-time, ready with a smile and so excited for the day! She was by my side throughout the events, and even hung on to my phone when I was talking to guests and dancing. For the wedding day, she brought another photographer to help with the groomsmen shots and she was also so great and fun to work with! You can tell Sarah is very careful with who she works with and wants to make sure she brings someone who fits with the vibe of the couple. Sarah said she had shot the longest wedding in a single day (13 hours) that day and it resulted in the most number of photos she has ever edited for one couple! When we got the photos back from Sarah (on-time), they were STUNNING. First off, I texted her if she had a couple she could send me a week after the wedding to post while on my honeymoon and immediately she sent me a few and we were BLOWN AWAY. It got us so excited to see the final edits of all the photos and I felt like she absolutely captured the essence of the day, the colors, the joy of everyone there to celebrate us, and our excitement to marry each other!! Sarah was a huge joy to work with during my engagement session in June 2021 and wedding in August 2021! When I came across Sarah's instagram in December 2020 I immediately fell in love with her colorful photography style and knew we had to book her for our wedding. During our video call Sarah helped with creating the timeline and asked about our preference in photography (such as more candids, portraits, details, etc) which I really appreciated.
